SF, periwinkle is one of my favorite colors, Currently my toes have an OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, but also like my ILNP periwinkle holographic. Once you get use to wearing and SHOWING color, its like you don't even think about it anymore. Hope you can get there.
I get comments all the time on my shoes, toes, and fingernails. Below is my typical run errands look and an up-close look at my toes.

Shyheels, San Francisco has changed....many tech companies are now centered there, filled with androgynous-minded millennials with lots of money to spend.
I might stop by there one day, but walk in wearing some REAL high heels.

I had an encounter this evening. I was at the grocery store looking at meat. I notice the woman next to was staring at me. I caught her eye, she looked away then went back to staring. I don't know if she was staring at my fingernails or my knee high boots. She was speechless.

I have learned a lot about women's fashion. Style's come and go real fast, if you find something you like you have to get them while they are still available. Missed out of some great heels that are never coming back. So I have learned if something fits great, get multiple colors before they are gone. Maybe that's why I have almost 50 pairs of high heels...

I have two cognac pairs and one black pair. I bought the extra cognac and the black one when I saw them on clearance...missed the grey pair. Real easy to walking, even run in, comfortable and great for dancing!

Walk around with those shoes, nobody is going to notice those as women's shoes. Nice simple boots, wear them with confidence.

I think you mean much easier - a home-made punch would have cost you pennies, assuming you had a file in your toolbox!
Both easier and cheaper but also much less painful. I have done some nasty things to many parts of my body, including my hands. While I have all the stuff and skills to make my own home-made punch, it would not be worth the pain my hand would incur. Plus I get multiple size holes all for the same price.

I broke down a bought revolving leather punch for $12 at a hardware store...much cheaper than making one.

This is the "problem" (at least for me) with knee or thigh high. I can't wear skirts (not interested in) to work. And skinny jeans don't work for me. Also leggings and yoga pants just wouldn't cut the mustard at work. So I have two remaining choices: put the pants over the boots or wear shorts.
Jeremy -great price almost impossible to pass up.

Also an author, its just a fluff piece, don't think the copy editors spent any time on it. Also it's nice to see I'm on the cutting edge of fashion. Who would have thought that...LOL
