  1. I feel the same way. I do not wear mine in public at all. Wish I had the fortitude to do so. My problem is for the same reason " what will people think". Tonight I am sitting here at our "seasonal campground site on my deck. Have enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and everyone is bed. I am relaxing here with my heels on feeling at peace and comfortable. Wishing everyday could be this way without having to hide my passion for heels. Our biggest obstical is ourselves. I am more content and relaxed when I can wear my heels and how I feel in them and how good I look in them. Too bad more people could not see that instead of being judgemental. Maybe its the wine...making me a little more philosophical or just honest with myself.

I would say its is the passion inside you and the realization that you have too please yourself before you have to please others. Happy heeling and enjoy those heels!

Just want to say hi to everyone.

I've been wearing heels for a long time, and all my family and friends know I like to wear heels. Last month was Pride month which was cool. I've even posted on Facebook that I enjoy wearing heels and posted some pics as well.

My thing is that I worry too much on what other people think, or if they are going to say anything. Me worrying too much is causing me to wear  heels to less places. Family and friends tell me to wear them and not care or worry what other think. I can't tho. I always worry.

So my question is, how can I wear them and not worry so much?

  3. It's like Willie Nelson the country singer said......Why are divorces so expensive.....because they are worth it! You will find another...a lady that will be a true soul partner and accept you and your heels. They are out there. I have found a true gem myself and thank god everyday that she is part of my life.

  4. Welcome to hhplace! I like your style...the skinny jeans and hosiery really really accent your heels well. My tastes in jeans an hosiey is the same. Must applaud you on your public outings in heels. I wish I could get to that level of heeling but not yet. Hope you enjoy conversing with the members and exploring all avenues of high heel topics.

  5. I prefer the gold platform pumps. But that is just my style...check out my heel collection you will see what I mean. Not into single sole heels but it all depends on with what you will be wearing with them as well as when and where. Remember opinions are like elbows...every one has one. Just enjoy the journey and your heels.

  6. The model is not my wife...just a picture from the website. My wife ordered the shiny gold pair which I am partial to also but to be different mine are the mary jane style. Shiny gold heels are 5.5" heels and the gold patterned pair are 6". Just found them on my favorite site lollicouture.com.

  7. I have a large collection of heels all of which I like but to be truthfull my most favorites are when my wife wears hers. She has the poise and the looks to make a great pair of heels look fabulous. We have the same taste in heels and even have a few of the same pairs but when she wears hers its shear attraction. I like how a great pair of heels will make you feel empowered and attractive. I am lucky too that she wears hers almost daily to work or even to go shopping. So it"s daily "eye candy" Here is picture of a pair or her heels on a trip to the local coffee shop.

  8. But of course...high heels are an addiction. I am a collector by nature but not a hoarder. Finding that next intriguing pair of heels is always a thrill. I try to rotate wearing my heels but I do have some favorites. And I know many people prefer quality over quantity but "each to there own". I do not wear my heels for 6 or 7 hours at a time daily so the stress on my heels is not excessive. So if see a pair of heels that I like and that are in my allowable budget....I get them. No guilt, no buyers regret, just the pleasure of enjoying new heels and admiring them when you are not wearing them. I agree with Closetheels...they are almost an artform to be appreciated. On or off your feet.

  9. It rained the first two days of our vacation. We were stuck inside because of the heavy downpour and high water. We did some shoe shopping online together and ordered 2 pairs each. We got matching fushia cutout platform pumps with an ankle strap. She got a matching pink pair of pumps that I already have. And I ordered the purple floral pair. All our shoes were on clearance and totaled less than 45 dollars. I think my previous order of a pair of light blue ones is unavailable. But it was a good way to spend some time with my wife despite the bad weather.

  10. Sounds like an awesome place to work. Can not imagine me comparing my heels with a bunch of parts guys and diesel mechanics. I am still getting teased because my workboots are not marked up enough yet. Lol.

It depends on how much you want to stretch it. Synthetic material will stretch a little bit if you're patient, but not much. It would be a situation like, "These shoes already fit pretty well, but they would be even better with just a tad more room."

Don't know about using a blow dryer.

A blow dryer should work on a synthetic leather material (vinyl). I have used this method but vinyl will also contract when it cools. I used to have a sign shop and used vinyl lettering. It has similiar properties. When heated it will stretch but only to a point where it will rip or stretch that it ruins the surface or discolor. Be sure to use something in the shoe to retain its shape or size. When it cools it will shrink into or around the object it contours to and tightens up. So leave something in until the vinyl cools and it should be okay.

  12. For me....they have to be platforms. I have some with 1/2" platforms up to 2.5". All range from 4" to 7.5" heels. I am not into a walking on my tip toes to wear 5.5" single sole heel. But I do love the look of a tall stilletto. My platforms allow me to have both. And as you see by my profile pictures my collection has a variety of platform styles. We are all here for the same reason...our love of heels. And variety is the"spice of life". Enjoying your heels is all that matters.
