  1. In ratio....of mens to womans shoes, I would say 1:6. And looking at my mens shoes the majority are well worn and signficantly older. ie..work boots and cowboy boots. Not much reason to replace yet and are not as exciting to shop for as a new pair of heels in a striking color or style. They are not as appealing to look at either. Never heard anybody say those workboots are really hot! Guess I will keep looking for that next great pair of heels...

  2. I usually get to wear my heels everyday. I work a night shift so my morning routine does not usually start until around 10:00am. I wear my heels around the house and they usually are coordinated with what I am wearing somewhat. I generally just wear skinny jeans and Tshirts but if there is a corresponding color in my shirt I may match the heels to it. Throughout the day I may change heels a couple of times depending on the comfort level and mood to experiment with other pairs. Sometimes after work I will take a drive to the local coffee shop drive-thru to get a tea to "wind down" before bed. This usually consists of another pair of heels and more often this winter involved a pair of thigh high boots and leggings. As for changing heels because of heel height, it is not a factor because of most of mine are platform heels which are 4" and up.

I do have my "go to heels", that I may wear every other day just because they are easy to slip on and a generally neautral in color but not in style. They are my Pleaser mules. I find them comfortable and I prefer how they look with most of what I wear for clothes. If you have the heels you might as well enjoy them!

  3. Welcome...I am sure you will enjoy the people and discussions here. Its a great place to share your experiences and your love of heels. I too like the Pleaser style of heels but sometimes are not so practical for wearing in undesireable conditions. Although, enjoy those heels and we look forward to more of your submissions.

  4. I barely feel like I am wearing heels when I have these on. Not my usual style but I am ok with them. Still would have prefered to have these in a 6" heel and platform. But when you can get a pair of boots for nearly 70% off retail on final clearance.....why not.

  5. Had a pair of 7" pleasers on and was rushing to catch a phone call in my office. I caught my heel on the edge of the carpeted step. I was about 5 steps from the bottom but the handrail saved me from falling forwards instead my weight went backwards and "thumped" the rest of the way on my buttucks. Almost turned my ankle. Lesson learned - do not rush on steps. lol.

How high are the heels, and do the zippers go all the way up.

The heel is only 3" and I believe the zipper may go all the way to the top. They may or not be able to be folded down to be below the knee. If not no loss because I still like the OTK look and they will look good with skinny jeans.

  7. Ordered these today. Found them on urbanplanet.ca on clearance. I am not usually into the lower block heel but I saw a woman wearing a similiar pair and liked the look. Thought maybe the top could be turned down and worn under a looser fitting jean. This could be my first step out into public with a rather inconspicuous heel depending on the heel coverage.

  8. Welcome...great heel collection! Sounds like you are enjoying your heels and whether its in the comfort of your home at work or in public you will always have open minded people here to accept your love of heels with many interesting conversations and experiences to share.

I too like the pleaser brands and platform heels. But with trends changing every year some styles are getting harder to find. Myself I am always on the lookout for that next pair of fabulous heels.

    Enjoy your time here!

  9. I too have tried to go to bed in heels. Wore mules to bed but like jetheelsfan, they made their way to the floor before morning. I have...fell asleep in my "man cave" in the lazyboy recliner a few times. Heels still on and waking up at 4:00am. This is after working until midnight and taking some "wind down time" before going to bed. But the heels did not go to bed with me later.

For your first pair of heels....they are a nice choice. Thigh high boots are very sexy. My first pair of heels when I opened up to my wife about my interest in heels was a pair of thigh high wedge boots. You will find it hard to stop at just one pair. Enjoy.

Found these online. Going to check tomorrow at their local retail store to see if they still have in them in stock. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well checked out the retail store. They had many styles but not this pair. Some similiar but without the platform and slightly lower heel. So I decided to pass. Did get a couple pairs of leggings to lounge in though that were half price and my wife lucked out on some apparell too.

Went back to the website and they had 1 pair left in stock...lucky me! Ordered them today and got 40% off, so they were meant to be mine. Now to wait and see if they arrive before Christmas.

  12. I have always been fascinated by high heels. Even as a young boy around the age of ten I would like to look at females in high heels. My mother has always been a "fashionista" and had her share of heels. I would try them on when she was not home because at the time my feet would still fit her shoes. Growing up the girls in school that wore heels always caught my eye...I would say I have always been a "leg man".

As I have got older I have wanted to enjoy heels also and love the look of them. I did not want to just admire them from affair any more. Bought my first pair more than 15 years ago and have purged many times since. But in reality and thanks to an understanding wife I do not need to do so anymore. Now we both enjoy our heels, mine in the privacy of our home or while driving and her just about anywheres. But the feeling and look that a fabulous pair or heels can give you is like adrenaline. Everyone should feel good about themselves...and heels are just one way to do so.
