  1. I would only hope/pray she had the non-so-flattering footwear on only to go place to place, and she had an awsome pair of shoes in wait for when she reached her distination.. But, that would be a let down. I would probably just sigh and imagine...

  2. I haven't seem anybody out and about that I know (that didn't already know I wear heels) yet. I guess it would depend on who, but it would certainly "force" me to be open about it to them. Maybe it would depend on their reaction, but hoping it wasn't bad, it might make telling more people in my life easier. I think the problem might be to bump into my ex in-laws (who are Haitian and may not look at things the same culturally). It's an interesting topic, but if I learn to style right, and look good, then it'll be easier to talk about and explain. I think. I will certainly revisit this thread if it happens.

  3. As a hetero, myself, I guess the best term would be "admiration". While not quite in the same light as if I'd see a beautiful lady in them, I'd still probably hurt my neck watching, and if eye contact was made, would certainly pass along my kudos!

  4. Huge congrats, Patent! It is always for the best not to have to hide it. I know it didn't go well when I told my wife, but it was probably HOW I told her that hurt. Basically, I had supressed it while we dated, and about 9 months after we married, we were sitting in our living room. She never wore heels, but had a decent pair of sling-backs that, with a little stretching, I could put on. I had taken a dose of Ambien to sleep, but made the mistake of having a couple glasses of wine, too. In my altered state, I went in, put on her heels, and stumble out to tell her. A little more tact...maybe she would have understood?? No, she's very close-minded...but. The troubling part was a month + back when I had to tell everyone in my life (parents, one sister who didn't know yet, friends...even in-laws [Haitian] who still were close). Relief feels better than wishing you could. Just don't do it hopped up on Ambien and wine!

  5. Very young. Since I could remember. I am sure having 2 sisters only didn't help. Or maybe it did.... Early teens was when I realised what heels and tight pants did for women. My sister's friend, Tracy, always wore hot things (80's...spandex, pumps, big hair, etc), and stayed over the house a lot. I was in love... Of course it didn't hurt that she wore same size shoes as I did back then.

  6. There was a thread, somewhere here, that mentioned the release of endorphins in your body (caused, in his case, by wearing heels) resulted in weight loss for him. I was just insanely curious about this, as since I "re-started" heeling again 2+ months back, I've lost 27lbs, and hopefully will be dropping another 15. I know I LIKE the thrill and excitement of wearing heels (especially outside), but I had no idea it helped lose weight... This true?

  7. The first time I wore heels and walked were a pair of a sister's friends while she and my sister were at the beach. They were 5" (size 8, which I was then) stiletto pumps. I was about 12 or so, and could walk easy enough in them then. 5" are easy for me, though most of my stilettos are now 4+". 6" for a while, but my highest I own now are 5.5".

  8. Nice wedges. Now, this style heel I may consider besides stilettos... As for me, I always shave before I wear my shoes, but that's only me. I just hate hair. It does "clash" with the feminine shoe, but if he's more comfortable without shaving, then it's fine. I doubt a lot of people are gonna stare close enough at the hair. I'd just admire the shoes if I saw him out...

  9. The last 2 posts were great, and I do appreciate the tips! Wait for a couple weeks, and I'll get something together, following a lot of what I learned here, into something that looks good (and feels good!). The only "thing" is my love for stiletto heels. It may take a lot of work, but I want to show that I can make them work for a bigger guy. Saying this, I will take a look, while shopping, at other styles. But, I love stilettos too much... Thanks!!
