Got an email from solestruck, there is a new brand marketing heels for men. http://shopsyro.com/

I might have to try the George model

As others have said, their current style choices and prices don't do much for me.  They have potential, and good for them for taking a bold step in doing what they like and trying to market men's heels.  But clearly their site could use more professionalism, and of course expand their selection to be less focused on a narrow niche target.  The men's heels market is already a very narrow market as it is, and they seem to be focusing on an even smaller subset of that market.

  2. For me it depends on how much I had worn them recently and how much walking I did that day in them.   Some days after a long day of walking in heels, I am ready to get them off and relax my feet, then other days (after 2-3 days not wearing them), I'm eager to wear them as much as possible.  Unfortunately, I don't get to wear them out everyday as much as I would like, usually thanks to work.

Well... long time no posting in this thread... so I thought I should shoot a few more photos. Again I set up my home studio, this time not paying too much attention to the lighting, so some of the pictures are a bit "too warm" from a colour temperature perspective. Hope you don't mind.

Outfit #1: Cashmere trench and Marlene trousers

Outfit #2: Same as no. 1, but with an offwhite-coat, also by Burberry. Got it during winter sale.

    Outfit #3: Biker.

Outfit #4: My take on the 70s for a summer outfit.

Outfit #5: Flared leather pants as an evening combo

So... what do you think?

#1 and #2 are nice, not my style at all, but you do pull them off rather nicely, much more so than I could.

#3, I agree with your own assessment, for some reason that jacket is not very flattering.  I don't think its really an issue with you, as your gut is relatively flat in fact.  I think with that kind of jacket zipped up, you are supposed to have to have a tiny waist (ie, narrow hourglass) to look really good in it ...  But, when the jacket was open, it looked good on you.  Overall, I like this look quite a bit.

#4 looks good, but #5 I think is definitely the best overall look on you.

I think they all look good on you though, nicely done...

I know James' post was from a few months ago, but this is exactly how I feel.  I think if I could pull it off, I would definitely wear skirts out with heels often.  I really like the look and comfort of skirts.  I do have the legs for skirts, but the upper body is where it all goes wrong.  Maybe if/when I ever get as thin as I would really like to be, I might attempt it.  But in my opinion, honestly, anyone (man or woman) with a waist larger than the hips, wearing a dress or skirt is not a good look.   :)

  5. Its been about 12 years since I was last in Paris, and unfortunately I was there for business with co-workers around me pretty much the entire time.  Anyway, from what I remember, I think it would be a perfect place for you to wear just about anything you want (within reason of course).  When I travel anywhere out of town, I love to wear more daring outfits and heels out that I wouldn't wear back at home, because I know the chances of me seeing any one I know are near zero.   Live it up and have fun.  :)

  6. Dang, it must be an incredible challenge to love high heels and have such large feet. I am so grateful to be a US 10 and have nearly limitless options (I know a majority of shoe makers stop at US 10 unfortunately for those with large feet), but on the down side it makes me spend way more than I should and sadly I have more pairs than my wife.  Best of luck with your perfect shoe hunt, sorry I can't offer any suggestions to help.

  7. Good luck with that lasting more than a couple of times worn.  I have tried similar modifications with tape, and I have yet to find any tape that holds up for very long inside the shoe and it doesn't usually stay in place, especially when trying to attach to a fabric as I see you have.

The best I have found is a fabric repair kit like Tenacious Tape with some Gorilla Super Glue to increase the adhesive, and even that is not perfect.  If you can avoid attaching to any fabric in the boot (which is probably almost impossible with boots like those), your chances of long lasting success will improve.  Best of luck  :)

I remember the 50 Hz in Europe and had to set my 60 Hz clock a certain amount of time ahead so it would be accurate at the moment I needed to get up.

I never thought of this before.  I traveled before to the UK and France on relatively short trips, but never knew about a clock being affected when running at different power frequency than what was intended, but I looked it up to confirm and I guess it does makes sense.  Even many modern clocks can be affected this.  Very interesting to learn that one. :) Anyway, thanks for that little bit of info

  9. Not sure where to put this comment, but I didn't want to start a new thread and this looked like a reasonable spot so here goes nothing ...

Today, I had a really surprising and almost scary moment while out shopping.  I had on some pretty basic looking 4.5" chunky leather boots with black straight leg women's polyester stretch pants that leave most of the heel exposed underneath.  Not like the usual jeans I wear, and they are very form fitting, much tighter pants than I normally wear, so they are pretty easy to tell they were made for women.  Anyway, I was going through a large hardware store, and pass by a couple of 20-something aged, rather tough looking hispanic guys, wearing typical clothing that a construction worker might wear (faded overalls covered in paint stains and other similar debris, you know...)

The first time I passed them, they both did a double take and had huge grins on their faces, I know they were talking to each other about me, but they on kept on going.  I figure, well that's nothing too bad, a fairly typical reaction for what I was wearing today.  A couple of minutes pass I am coming around the next aisle and they are both walking toward me and were both taking a much closer look, the first one passes, we nod at each other and he has a smirk on his face as he stares at me with a sort of intimidating look... by this time, I was thinking, oh great.  As the second guy passes, he looks directly at me, I can tell he is determined to say something, I am starting to get a bit nervous... and he eventually says, "hey man, I just had to tell you, you have some big balls bro", I stuck my hand out and said "right on", then he shook my hand, nodded his head with a look of approval, said "later bro", and they kept on going.

I've only had a couple of incidents where I felt a little intimidated, and I am not sure why I felt nervous at that moment, but honestly, that was not at all how I expected that exchange to go at that moment, but was a nice little confidence booster for me if I am in a similar situation again. :)

I know it's not as exciting as some of the other stories told here, but I usually try to make myself practically invisible while out heeling, and typically don't have very much to say about my adventures out.  But, it was a different experience for me, so had to share... thanks for listening if you got this far.  lol

  10. That is pretty cool for a masculine product commercial.  I mean, most of the Axe commercials I have seen are always super masculine and demonstrate how you will suddenly appear "hot" to women, just by using their product ;) ...  So this is quite a different commercial for them, in my opinion

Do feel it's odd your doctor is recommending wearing heels.

^ This ^ ...  My first thoughts exactly   hmmm

Anyway, as a few others have said, plain black wedge boots or chunky/thick block heel shoes with bootcut jeans, absolutely the way to go when first starting out in public to build up confidence.  I mean if all you really require is the incline of the shoe to help your back out, there's no need to go out in sexy glamour heels or stripper platform heels or anything even remotely close to either of those  :)

  12. Hi Danni... As others have said, its quite ambitious to want to wear 8 inch heels (or higher) for long periods of time.  I own only a couple of pairs higher than 6", but I wouldn't want to wear them for more than a couple of hours, and probably never to go out in.

The heels I wear to go out for long periods are in the 3.5" to 5" range, and preferably with no platform (or very small platform is ok).  Sorry, I know there are at least a few people around here that are into super high heels, they probably are just not seeing this thread. :)

Anyway, have fun wearing what you want to, and welcome to the forum.

I just found hhplace over the weekend. I've felt alone like I've been hiding something for a long time, almost scared to say high heels in public like it was taboo or something.

But it is nice to know there are others out there. Here are some new ones I got.

    No longer feeling as alone.

Hello and welcome to the forum, Subtle.

Yes, you can feel very alone out there, as the number of guys brave enough to go out in heels is really very small.  Depending on where you live, your chances of you seeing another guy in person in heels, is probably less than your chances of winning a good amount of money in a lottery.  But there is lots of proof that we do exist both here on this forum and by scouring the web.

The number of guys doing it in the privacy of their own home is likely very much higher...  I would guess greater than 10%, but probably much higher than that.  It's a shame society can make you feel so wrong when women have earned the privilege to wear pretty much whatever they want without much concern.  Guys can do that as well, but it definitely takes a lot more courage and the ability to overcome all of that negative programming out of your head.  Once you realize almost all of it is just in your head, and that most people don't care what you wear, it gets easier in time.  Almost everyone around you is far more concerned about their own lives, completing their own daily tasks, etc.  Of course, there is the occasional a-hole that seem to feel the need to call out others to make them feel better about themselves, but its pretty rare to run into that.

Anyway, glad to see another member here, hope to hear more from you in the future.

  14. The Forum has been a bit slow as of late.  In fact until a few weeks ago, I hadn't posted here in more than a year, I think.  Not sure why, I guess I'm at a point where I am cool with going out a few times a week in heels and its no longer a big deal for me to talk about it.  Also, I'm not very good at making my ventures out in public sound as interesting as some others around here do and I am happy reading their threads and getting occasional inspiration from them.

I did recently find some pretty cool websites that support freestylers and any guys wanting to go out in heels (and even skirts, etc).  I apologize in advance if any of these have been posted previously. These sites are somewhat overlapping and some appear to be managed by the same guy, but anyway, lots of interesting pictures for guys in heels.  A few of the pinterest site pictures go a too far into crossdressing, but most of them are pretty decent styles (guy look on top, gal look on the bottom):
