  1. Yes they are not cheap at all!!!  They are one of the nicest on the market.    I don't usually wear anything over it.  If you are looking to wear something try a nice button down shirt and leave the top 2 or 3 buttons unbuttoned.    The bathroom part is easy they have 2 -3 snaps in the crotch, easy.

  2. I will say from my experience they are awesome to wear with any type of outfit.  I do wear them often. Mostly with skirts but even with a simple pair of jeans.  I usually do not cover up with anything unless it is cold and I wear a jacket. Most every one I own is from Wolford !!!

  3. Love the leggings too Jeff!    I wear them almost daily. Close to 100 pairs plus the jackets pullovers and shirts to match!!  98% Lululemon and a few from Nike and Under Armour.  I work  out every day at 530 am 5–7 days a week.  Work clothes for the day (sucks). And leggings for the rest of the time to run errands go out on date night or whatever.
When I travel it’s so much more comfortable then jeans and I would never wear sweats or pajamas on a plane.
Very easy to dress up or down depending on what you are doing.

  4. There is a hard foam like block with holes in it to create the wedge.   The insole has a the Sorel name on it and the bottom has raised circular bumps that match the holes in the hard foam wedge.

I buy the Sorels at Sorel, eBay, a few other online retailers.  Dick’s now carries the Lexie wedge but I have not bought them there.   I think between the 2 of us and 1 of my daughters we have prob 15 pairs of Sorels     I have not heard of any fakes with this line.

People certainly don't dress up to travel the way they used to

I would totally agree with you.  But I think we should at least get out of pajamas!   I would not think twice about traveling in a skirt and heels.  The only problem is I would freeze to death.    I keep it to my Lululemon outfits from head to toe and a pair of Sorel wedges or heeled boots.

Before I talk about my recent heeling endeavors, I wanted to take a minute to discuss a topic that has been talked about before, but until recently, I wasn't quite sure why I felt the way I did.

The topic is complimenting women who I think wear cute heels/boots.

For some reason, I have always felt that paying a compliment was in someway awkward, and I never knew why. I always worried that the girl might find it creepy or strange. Thoughts of "Why would a guy notice my shoes? Is he gay?" "Weirdo" "Creepy" etc. would always swirl in my head to the point where I freaked out just to pay a compliment. But over these past few weeks, I've realized that it's the fear of exposing my own heeling that has made the scenario awkward. Let me expand:

Over these past few weeks I have been more courageous in wearing heels other than my Converse wedges at work.

    1. I started with wearing my Sorel wedge ankle boots into the office, only to change them after getting in.
    2. From there, I progressed into wearing them after my Friday morning workout when I would leave the office for a Starbucks and then return.
    3. Then I started keeping them on when I would go to the cafeteria at the office to get my coffee, potentially exposing them to more people.
    4. From there, I started wearing the Naturalizer boots that I bought to match my wife's boots into work on Friday mornings.
    5. Then I added them to my Starbucks run.
    6. Now I keep my Sorel wedges on most of the morning, including my morning coffee chat with a coworker who I'll mention more about later.

In this span of 3-4 weeks, I have discovered that my comfort level for complimenting my coworkers has gone up. I can only assume that the increase in comfort has gone up due to the increase in comfort with wearing my heels.

With that being said, I have a coworker who I usually chat with in the morning when I get my coffee from the cafeteria, and she her tea. She is aware of my heeling and indulges me in my discussion of cute footwear that I wish I had, etc. Well, it turns out that we are the same shoe size! Over this past weekend, she had sent me some pictures of some heels that she owns, saying I could borrow them anytime I wished. In return, I sent some pictures and told her likewise.

One pair that she had which are super cute happen to be a pair of extremely comfortable Dr. Scholl's booties. She really liked a pair of Kelly & Katie heels that I own that I unfortunately would probably never wear.

So today we each brought our respective pairs into work, each wore a shoe, and then proceeded to take a couple of pictures. I think they turned out really good! As we 'swapped' each other's shoes for a brief moment, I actually told her she could keep the shoes as an early birthday gift since I am unlikely to wear them. She was ecstatic and very grateful. It was a good feeling to know that someone else would be enjoying the shoes!

The instagram pictures are posted below.

I have been after the Aldo Graziella’s for 2 years.  The size 11 is so limited it sells out almost immediately, and you can’t even find them on eBay or other sellers.  I told Aldo and Steve Madden they suck at size 11 heels, literally “you suck”.  Steve Maddens response, yes they responded, was “there are a size 11 heels available if you look”  My response to them “yea all the ugly ones”.  No joke

OUTING: Am on a short trip. Yesterday I decided to be adventurous. On my way to the airport, I drove most of the way, parked, and changed into my 4" block light-brown heels, probably .5" platform because the heels can barely be felt. It looks like work-shoes with some chunky heels... That, dark sweater, and jeans that end 1" from the ground. Walked to the train to take me to the airport. At the airport, checked in, and proceeded to go through security. I was hoping hoping that I could walk right through, and noticed that no-one was taking their shoes off (yay!), but alas, after I unpacked my stuff onto the belt, the guy looked at me, and asked me to put my shoes through the xray. Interestingly, I had a non-reaction to this, knelt down and proceeded to take the shoes off as it was the most natural thing. Really didn't give a hoot. Shoes went through xray, on the other side, with a bunch of other people idling by, grabbed by stuff & shoes, put them on, and walked to my gate.

I'm really surprised by my reaction, or lack of, on this. Compared to the embarrasment I felt just a few months ago, I definitely did not expect this level of "change".

In any case, bought some food and drinks, waited around, eventually boarded the plane, and sat, isle seat. The flight was long, 5-6 hours, but was comfy all the way through. I was definitely more self-conscious than usual, but nothing too much. Did my thing, as usual. The flight was uneventful, no-one said anything, although it was impossible not to notice, the whole thing was visible. Flight landed, got off, walked through the airport, got on the train to take me downtown, broad daylight. Then walked to my hotel room (~15 minute walk?), checked in. Wore those heels for a personal record-setting 14-15 hours. It was very satisfying!

    More later...

That's an awesome day.  I have done the same flying out of Chicago O'hare and Midway.  Usually in my Sorel wedges or Aldo, Steve Madden or Guess ankle boots all with 4-5" heels!.  I wear leggings to fly all the time so the heels are in plain sight, some compliments, lots of stares, not one negative comment ever.  Even with TSA Precheck there have been a couple of times I had to remove my boots.  I think they have seen it all and then some so a pair of heeled boots is probably nothing.  Good job, keep wearing the heels!!!!!

If everyone were required to use their own legal name and be responsible for what they post, it would be a lot nicer world withough people hiding behind anonymity.

    Steve

Boy isn't that the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!  they all have big balls behind the keyboard.  Same goes in the work world, big typers but cowards in person.  I call people out to meet face to face in the work world all the time, not the same person who tried bitchslapping me on an email

  11. Same as you in the cooler months with a jacket or coat.   Lot of times I give all my stuff to my GF to put in her purse whether I  am in guys clothes, leggings, or a skirt.  I do have a case for my phone that hold cash and credit cards. Only issue is the car keys but my car has a keypad on the door. I have kept some stuff in a small Lululemon bag just as we see everyone carrying one.  There are times I will have my backpack with my laptop in it and that carries everything
