It doesn't make us look like idiots, but rather it makes the idea of men wearing heels seem idiotic. On the other hand the looks worn by many menbers members of this forum - if photographed stylishly and presented on the pages of a glossy magazine would go far towards selling the idea of men in heels to a skeptical public. But becsause we wear them naturally, without affectation, there's no clickbait angle, no gasp - ad so no interest. Shock sells - or as they used to say, if it bleeds it leads
First sentence you wrote is better said. Guess I should have used the 24 hour rule. Just aggravating when I see this stuff , from my point of view, guys wearing heels will never be mainstream. I agree if they were to show more normal outfits AND heels that someone like wear out of there house to a dinner it would go a lot farther to promote “our cause” rather then seeing someone in an outfit they have in a lot of these articles. Even I would cringe if I were out and about in a typical “CAT” outfit and came across someone in one of these outfits

I think the heels in these pictures are ugly. When you see these shoes on men it will never take off. Show a normal pair of heels on a normally dressed guy be it in a pair of jeans a skirt or dress pants or leggings even. But when you see these ridiculous outfits it makes us look like idiots

I have done this in all sorts of ways. Depends on what is on the schedule. If I am am just going out I throw on an out fit and heels and walk out the door and get in the truck on the driveway, as the truck does not fit in the garage!. I am sure neighbors have seen me but no one has said anything over the last several years. I don't think its a big deal!

I understand completely. Very few people can do what you do and wear 5"+ stiletto heels all day; and likely everyday.
I wish I could!!! There is no issue with wearing them for an entire day as I have. It’s wishing I could do it every day!!! That would be awesome.

I haven't posted in this forum for a year, and a lot has changed in my life in this past year. First of all, I realized that I am transgender and started transitioning. So I guess I don't strictly belong in the "For the Guys" subforum anymore, but I still feel a kinship with men who have a love for high heels. As for wearing heels in public, I have been doing it frequently since I socially transitioned. I wore these two weeks ago when we went to a restaurant with a couple of friends for a birthday celebration:
Hope you had a great Bday dinner. Shoes are awesome!!! Really awesome. Would love to see the rest of the outfit!!!!

Boy oh boy I better be careful,,,,,, I fly southwest 99% of the time! I will tell you all that I am properly covered up and I am very aware of how to sit bend down or over and conduct myself so that does not happen. I even have had TSA agents male and female compliment my heels, skirt and shirt or dress.

I'm really loving these new nine west Hiya boots. Size 11 with nice pointed toes, rugged heels, and made of leather. Loving the way these thrift store Lucky brand girl's jeans fit also. Will post pictures of my new booties tomorrow...

I'm beginning to think we have more gray beards (me included) than not here at HHP.
That’s why I shave mine off all the time!!!

I have posted a ton of these skirt pumps or boots pics, but no question, just a guy in heels and a skirt nothing else beyond that

I don't think they are pricey at all, and with 5 girls in the house besides me it is a big expense, ALL the time. We have all tried other brands and nothing has held up as good. Wash after wash, some favorite pairs are constantly worn. If you look at Alo, Carbon 38, Athleta,,,, 100 bucks plus or minus is what leggings cost. Girls have tried the VSX, GymShark, Navigation, they stretch out during wearing, don't last after a years worth of washings. They all don't hold as well when your wearing them at the gym everyday
Just my experience

I would really love to try leggings, but have short "chicken legs". Was thinking about some of those athletic leggings also, even though I'm no athlete...
Go to Lululemon, they will hem(shorten) at no charge pretty much the only brand I own

As you all know, I have been having issues lately and have curtailed heel wearing. Well, I got the sad news yesterday. My disc fusion from 2017 is losing it's effect and the other discs are suffering.
Reader's Digest version is I am going under the knife next Wednesday for extensive repair. I will be placed into a spinal cage for at least 5 vertebrae. I don't know what recovery will be or how long. I will be living my heeling life thru your comments. I will keep the Group posted.
For now I will continue to read the various posts.
O'revoir mes Amis.
Hope everything goes better then expected Wishing you a speedy recovery. Keep us posted on your recovery!!

These zipped boots are US 12 W
I never got any reactions ( is that a good or a bad sign?) except as Pebblest, a guy from the security check who asked if these boots in the basket were mine.
Those boots are awesome. I would wear them for daily’s. I do love the stilettos but those are awesome. I haven’t had anyone at the tsa check ask if the heels are mine. Guess they figured it out when I was walking thru in a skirt!!! Lol. I did have a great conversation with a female tsa agent in Tampa. I also always have the metal detector go off and get sent thru the scan and the pat down. They will always ask if I want i male or female do the pat down. I say it doesn’t matter, unless there is good looking female one then I ask fir the female. I think it’s the knee replacements that set off the metal detectors but it’s not. It’s sometimes the clothing and my right shoulder which is all OEM parts. I was told that the level of the equipment and the checking varies by the volume of the airport. More in Chicago then in Tampa, but who knows.
