Made in China often means uncomfortable,

I bought two different pairs of Onlymaker heels. The length and width was fine, but the shape of the sole was weird. It was like they turned flat for the toes at the wrong place. I forget if it was short or long, but the bottoms of my feet sure didn't agree with them. I was really disappointed as I really loved the style.

  2. Isolater is a lucky guy. It is great to have an attractive spouse.

I like to brag about my wife. She will be 60 years old this summer, 5'2" and 105 pounds and curvy considering her size. 34-25-36 if I remember. A little smaller on top, a tiny bit extra in the trunk, but I love it. Last night we had a quiet date night at home, sit and visit watch a movie and eat junk food. She came into our family room wearing a tight tank style mini dress, fishnet stockings and heels. She was complaining that her butt sticks out and her hips are to wide. I just laughed and said your butt is supposed to stick out and your hips are wonderful, I love your curves! She is one sexy, almost 60 year old!

Plus she puts up with me and my high heel collection!

  3. Back to the generator topic, I bought a 7,000 watt Endress generator right after the Y2K fiasco. I figured someone would have them on sale and I found this one for $600 when they were typically going for close to two times that. I have a four prong outlet and a cord so I can back feed the breaker panel after shutting off the main breaker and power the whole house. I have had it for twenty years and used it a couple times. The worst was a summer storm that knocked down powerlines all over and we were without power for two days. I would run it in the morning for a couple hours, go to work and then power it back up in the evening for 3-4 hours. I was worried about losing power during  winter storms, but it hasn't happened.

  4. I often wear 3" block heel boots to work. In the warehouse there is a ramp to go from one level to the other. I can not imagine walking up or own this ramp if it were several city blocks long, heck, not sure I could handle one block! Up is probably easier as the tendons in my ankles get a bit of a break. Walking down gives the same tendons and good stretch!

America seems kind of a scary place these days...not the innocent place it was when HeelsWearer was trying out her stilettos...

Most places in the US are generally safe. The larger cities always have areas that you just stay out of, more so after dark. South side Chicago is a bad place to be. I have a nephew that works in the south side. 100% white guy, and he is working the ghetto everyday. He said it was pretty scary at first, the only white guy for blocks, but he claims the "hood" has gotten used to him and leave him alone. Plus he does have a carry permit.

i live in a metro area of about 250,000 people and up to a few years ago you never worried abut being out after dark. Today I don't care to be in many areas after dark. I could go on to explain why this has happened but the post would be edited out or deleted as political.

I remember growing up in my teens I lived in a city of less than 10,000 people. We would wander the streets all night in the summer and never worry about anything other than the police hassling us.

  6. Doing anything is heels is more difficult, until you get used to it. I had a discussion with someone that said it is dangerous to wear heels while driving. I drive often in 4" heels with no issue so I disagreed.  I probably drive in 4" heels more miles in a year than most people drive. The person went on to tell me a story of having a car accident while wearing heels. I went on to say if you rarely wear heels it will be more difficult to drive in heels as there is some adjustment to where to put your feet. Once you do it enough muscle memory takes over and high heels are not an issue. I feel the same can be said about playing musical instruments, guitar pedals, drum kit, pipe organ, whatever.  To some degree it is like learning to do it all over again, but maybe not that extreme.

I dunno buddy, seems like a pretty rude thing to say right in front of your wife...Especially if she stills looks as good as she did in high school...Seems like she was going out of her way to cause trouble.  Yeah, she realizes now that you would have been "a good catch"...But, who knows who she had her eyes on in school...I'm not faulting her, just saying she may have been somewhat in denial about her behavior in school.   I surely understand how you feel about "what might have been", but perhaps you may have dodged a bullet....

Knowing the gal, I don't think she was trying to cause any trouble. I had known her for years and she is just sweet and easy going. Pretty sure she was just being honest and kind of oblivious to the situation. I did tell my wife about the conversation later and she had to laugh about it. She even said I screwed up as she is a beautiful gal.

In the end it doesn't mater as I love my wife dearly and I don't see anyone ever replacing her. Anyone else would be a step down!

I know the feeling.  There was a girl in high school that I was crazy about.  I was too shy to ask her out on a date - or actually maybe too scared of rejection if she said no.

Years back I went to my ten year class reunion. I went to school with this beautiful, tall, blonde blue eyed gal. Classic Scandinavian. We were casual friends in school, but never spent any time together. It never cross my mind to ask her out. At the reunion she came over and sat with my and my wife, then went on to ask why I had never asked her out on a date. I looked at her, then my wife, (who was occupied talking to someone) and turned back to her and said, "just stupid I guess!" We talked for a few minutes and she told me she would have gone out with my if I had asked. I never remotely though I was in her league! She was still absolutely beautiful in her late 20's, still looked like she did in high school. To this day I was thinking she was hitting on me, but I love my wife dearly so it wouldn't have mattered, but thinking back to what I may have missed in high school!

But yeah, I get it. Some of these Chinese no-name shoes are not only wildly inaccurate in sizing numbers, they're often shaped and proportioned really strangely. Like, NOBODY has toes that long or that short. I have only had one 100% positive experience with a "no-name" pair of shoes, but I've definitely had some very negative ones.

I have tried to buy a couple pairs of shoes from one of the popular Chines manufacturers. They simply do not fit my feet! Are Chinese women's feet that different from women in he USA? I can but from any of the popular US manufacturers and the fit me just fine so I know it is not me.

How about we change it up a tad? Best dressed member (Neck down) in heels? Outdoors pics only?

Just to encourage a lot more thought into the picture and avoid it turning into "200 guys in skirts"?

That could be dangerous considering many here cross the line to dress up! You may have just invited a bunch of cross dresser pics!

Now lets see, which dress do I wear?!

But I cannot give them a go until the weekend.

You have more patience than me. When ever I buy a new pair of heels I have to try them on in the car in the parking lot! I often wear them driving home.

It's an acquired taste, you just have to acquire a few dozen.

I like platforms, and I didn't have to buy that many!

  12. It was a chilly but warmer than usual evening, plus I was wearing the leather jacket. Also the heater in the pickup works well!

My wife was a bit surprised I would wear the boots across the yard. We live in the city, small lots. Our back door faces the neighbors, and to the other direction there is nothing to stop neighbors from a couple houses down getting a good look into our yard. It was about a 75 foot walk to the garage, all out in the open, pretty well lit.

  13. Granted, this is pretty mild compared to some here, but the other evening my wife and I went out for a drive. We stopped at a chain burger joint, drive through then we drove out into the country to see the Bethlehem star, the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter. We sat out in the dark and looked at the stars and planets, visited and ate our burgers. After that we went for a ride around the city and looked at Christmas lights. It was a pleasant evening with my favorite gal.

My point of the my post is this is what I wore, not granted we didn't get out of the vehicle any where, but I did walk form our house to our detached garage and back.  Forgive the background in the pic, We are doing a small remodel and the house is a disaster! My wife was dressed in the same pants, but different top, low cut, think cleavage 😍 ,  and black fabric thigh high stiletto heel boots.

Boots are Nine West Quizme, the pants are from Amazon, (link), Dallns leggings  actually women's, but tight and stretchy, the top is a women's bodysuit from Allure. I also wore a black leather jacket.

  15. My natural nails are terrible. They break off all the time. Every day I am trimming and messing around with them as they break and split. Once the finger nail tip separates from the nail bed they split and tear.

I get tempted to get fake nails and keep them short, maybe just finger tip length, but I hear that it is not good to have fakes all the time, plus I don't know if I want to deal with getting them touched up every few weeks.
