I've bought a lot of good stuff from what we call charity shops here in the UK.

Charity shops, some courage with the scissors and a sewing machine - my standby for thirty years and more so I don't have to look like everyone else.

I'm just 5', and my feet size 3. I can do 3'' tops. It's all window shopping and drooling for me.

I find this the most intriguing thread. I feel the question is directed at men, despite it being in the everyone section. Still, it's interesting to know what the men think. Dr Shoe makes a good point elsewhere. Women dress to impress women. If I go out with a chap it's nice to think he's thought about what he's wearing, but I wouldn't like to think he's thought more about his clothes/shoes than he has of me. Beyond that, I wouldn't care.

Oh yes, a man that can stride with heels on his boots and his kilt swirling. What more could a girl want? But be a man and swagger, that's what I like.

Sorry, Mike, I was being facetious. I meant a leather shoebox to keep the cardboard shoes in, like SleekHeels was suggesting. I imagine corrugated leather would make a pretty permanent shoebox, and afterwards you could cut it up and make something else. Shoes maybe.
