  1. So I came across this on Instagram and went straight to watching the video…a little bit. I haven’t watched it fully but thought of you all when I saw snippets of it.

I’ve been following Mark Bryan for YEARS, when he was just recording his struts at a train stop on IG. It’s crazy to see how far he’s gotten at this point. I believe he was also a part of the forum at a point?

So @pebblesf are you considering changing airlines so you can wear your cowboy boots?

I would be interested in the number of males that wear a uniform with a skirt and/or heels compare to the number of women that wear a "male style suit".

This was my immediate thought, or similar mindset: I wouldn't mind working for them if I could go ahead and get a maxi skirt to wear with my big-gut suit top, and maybe a modest pair of red heels~

And also with the former question + likely piggybacking off of 'mlroseplant' above: I will not doubt this is how Virgin becomes immediately irrelevant to a lot of people's eyes, At Least here in the States. Because we can't have neutral things happening here that'll affect people's [American] livelihood, hur dur.

Nonetheless and whether for publicity or not...it's always nice to see Some company embracing change and trying to bend the norm a bit. Makes me optimistic for the future of gender-less clothing at the very least. (Or at least for department stores to call it "Mens+ section" and "Womens+ section" or something LOL)

  3. So a bump + an update so that the "bump" isn't assumed to be the only reason for posting:

I've decided to donate #3 and #4. I'm likely not gonna draw anyone's attention for them. As stated, #3 needs super/hot glue + whatever else possibly to make them like new, and #4 is just a worn-out pair that's been in "storage": dusty, looks cheap, and Payless'/Brash's attempt at a tough bootie.

In their places come #5, #6, and #7! (or the blue, white, and black!)

#5 - [blue] Bumper "heel-less" shoes, Size 11 - $20 (bit more overseas) - As you can see, the material is wearing off of the shoe themselves so any creative shoe "refreshers" could do well with a blank slate; otherwise, soon to be donated. Size 12s be wary: they are quite tight & likely needs breaking in.

#6 - [white] dress shoes from JustFab, Size 12 - $30 - Never worn, just been sitting in its original box since purchased

#7 - [black] YRU flatforms, Size 12 - $30 - Same as above, been sitting in the box since purchased, though I've now put these in storage. I am willing to part with them, as they are more suited for all-black wearings, or those into the culture. Though still suited for everyday wear~

  4. (Posted a similar post in the wrong area; hopefully That one gets deleted.
Also this will be the last place I try to get my shoes sold before I surrender and have them donated to a Thrift Shop)

    Hello one, hello all!
It's been awhile, or nice to meet you! I am here today with a [shoe] closet cleanout! I have a few pair that I've been trying my darnest to get rid of via other means, but no one has struck up a conversation to proceed further :( (And I absolutely despise eBay anymore so that's completely out the question. I'll faster donate my ENTIRE closet than to do business with them again)

So here I am once again, on the forums where I discovered "wow...I'm so glad I'm not alone on this heel thing!" here to offer you all a chance to score a pair or two of the heels I'm looking to - dare I say - profit from! They're all numbered (and circled) so follow along now!~

#1 - YRU "Nightcall" - $50 - Okay This is a unique case of "should I or wait" because...the shoes are mismatched sizes! Left shoe is a 12 (my size!) but the right is an 11. And unfortunately, I contacted them farrr after the return policy to get a refund so they've been in storage. I could "wait" until they finally restock and exchange them, but the summer is becoming a distant memory, and these are a special case where these might be a one-and-done deal.

#2 - Charla Tedrick bootie "size 12" - $50 - Loved these booties when they arrived, hype died down soon after. They are studded heel-And-toe so be careful how you handle them!

#3 - YRU "Qozmo" "size 11" - $40 - Worn them a handful of times, to the point of them slightly peeling from the platform! Perfect buy if anyone wishes to repair them and put them through their paces; otherwise, I might donate them. They were also very snug when I wore them (as a mainly Size 12 guy) so Size 10s might be lucky with them!

#4 - Brash boots "size 12" - $30 or less in the states - So I've never worn them. Like, at all. But the look of them would tell you otherwise. That said, these aren't even worth the push from me to be honest. I'll likely donate them if they don't bite here.

O (circled) shoes - Brash wedges "size 12" - $40 TOGETHER - That's right. I'm selling Both of them together, NO separating! Solo, they're worth less in my opinion but Together, they're worth the price of one pair [at the time] so essentially...two for the price of one :D

I'll let you know if I can cover shipping or not, but generally for me if you're in the US, I Should be fine with covering shipping. Otherwise, DM me or post here if you have any questions! :)

Sorry buddy, have you ever tried to research and possibly reconnect with any of your "lost opportunities"?

    Ehhh, not really.

Only because I have before but most are already taken, happily married, or even gone for their own gender which I'm fine with. I believe the girl in question here was married so it truly does become "the one that got away" for me.

  6. Thread had me go back a bit for a memory I had of "The one who got away"...

It was high school, I was either a Junior or a Senior and she was a Freshman. She sat on the nearby lounge chairs and I figured I would tease her a bit before inviting myself over as well. I really liked her at the time, but the fact that at That moment, she 1) was a braceface, 2) wore these two-inch wedges with 3) crossed legs in a skirt...At that time, I somehow kept my cool and started to chat her up a little. I honestly do not know why I didn't try for her at that moment, besides for the fact that every girl I crushed on during high school, I saved the "moment" to shoot my shot for Valentine's Day. Well Clearly it didn't work as I'm still single to this day, lol 😅

"The one who got away"? More like "The one who couldn't wait that long!"

  7. It's also been quite a while since I was on the forums last!
But not much has changed except the amount of shoes I'm hiding from the 'rents! LOL

I actually have gone to the bathroom in heels before. Recently I went to one to change clothes for a NoH8 Campaign photoshoot. I wanted to wear a denim skirt and some open-toe heels for it. As I was changing, someone came in to use the facilities. And little did I know - I was in a private stall btw - the heels I brought made quite the sound in and out the bathroom! So I'm sure the person heard them but paid them no mind. To piggyback off of another comment, I assume that when the heels make a noise, the others within the bathroom assume it's just a guy with loud dress shoes on.

(And to add a little bit more to it, I wore the same heels as I went from the hotel the shoot was in, to the parking garage a quarter mile away. Lots of public eyes on me? I don't know, but one of the people in said photoshoot greeted me a 'good day' as they went to their car so...little things, you know?)

I only JUST now realized that I somehow posted this in the WRONG SECTION! LMAO

If Tech could move this for me, much appreciated~

  9. I was wondering if his fame made it to the site. Glad I wasn’t disappointed 👍🏿

He finally gave me the words to describe who I was, and it was on Instagram, no less.

    https://www.instagram.com/tv/CQERjoEKpD-/?utm_medium=copy_link

I’ve been into heels since I was younger, and only in recent years have I been trying out other things in the opposite aisle. Once I saw the video, I knew that “he’s describing me perfectly” sans the wife and kids. It just gives me continued hope that I’ll find my special someone some day…

Don’t worry though. I’ll get enough therapy to confirm that I’m not completely crazy soon enough😂👍🏿

  10. Hello all and to all, welcome!
It's been awhile since I've been around the site. I'd occasionally pop in and check a post or two, here and there. Other than that, I've been enjoying life, for the most part. The one thing that hasn't changed....is my being a guy that loves high heels! I mean, I question it still but for the most part, I've accepted Most of my self BUUUUUUT this is not what the post is about so let's change gears to the topic shown.

I have been wondering - and sorta longing - about people more closer to my age bracket. (And hopefully such a topic is OK to post; not explicitly asking for age). The thought came about while I was [video] gaming, funny enough. And then I was thinking: ".......are there any people my age and under that wears heels on the daily or whenever they can?" So to avoid rambling on and trying to expand this initial post any further.....

Are there folk around here that are between the ages of 18-30? DON'T explicitly say your age, but I would like to meet you. Maybe we can relate; for example...

I like high heels as a guy, but I also play video games, like to write (but I seldom write), and am a bit of an internet junkie (but not obsessive).

  11. Saw this and thought of you lovely folk. (Might help gauge some conversation if I said that I've been looking into maxi dresses a lot lately)

The only thing that sucks, as is brought up frequently here with stories like this, is that he's gay and as such, is somewhat expected of him. Not a bad thing but for hetero guys like me, is... A minor step towards fashion freedom.

  12. There's also ShoeDazzle and JustFab (might as well combine them eventually because they both do the same thing). Up to Size 12 - lucky me! - but they want you on a subscription-type plan BUT you can skip months to avoid a charge, which is my game plan. They price shoes FAR below 100$, especially on sale dates (which have been happening a bit recently; don't know if it's because I'm on the sub or not), and a wide range of styles available.

I can finally vouch for them since buying a pair recently through them. I had always been curious but scared of the Sub program. Now that I can skip months, I'm a bit at ease & ready to buy more. Like this pair, named "Having Fun":

  13. Sucks that this is a thing! I recently just bought a couple of pair from their BOGO sale, and was planning on another two (until one size ran out of the style I was eyeing). They're also where I've gotten most of my work [gym] shoes from, which have all averaged a length of about six months to a year. Given the prices, it's quite fair. They were also my most frequented place compared to the likes of DSW and Shoe Carnival and some small-name places in my area.

Now I feel like I need to run to the nearest one soon & stock up on more work shoes! I'm thinking ten pair should suffice, and maybe a pair of heels or three, yeah? :P

Oh, I'd be there for sure. As long as the weekend of the 21st-23rd (and the days before and after) are avoided, I'm totally there! I'm very much overdue for a revisit.

I just want to remind the shop owner that we still appreciate his on-going business, and that I still plan to buy Something from his shop :P

  15. Hey everyone!

So as I was organizing my many bookmarks saved, I came across "Skyscraper Heels" site, and I saw that it was updated to now say "Celebrating 21 years in June, 2019!" and I figured 'hey speaking of, I should visit HHPlace to see if anyone wants to get together at the store that month' and here I am!

Shall we get something going here, or should I repost my post in the "Chicago meet" thread instead?

    Hi all,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I wore my heels to the dentist today :D Heres how it went down. I drove down to the dentist and sat in my car for a while, feeling a bit sick and nervous I finally grow some balls and walked in. There was the receptionist at her dest and a lady in the waiting room.  They had hard wooden floors so they both would have known i was wearing heels. Nothing was said to me. When i went into see the dentist she had a look of shock on her face, she definitely had seen my heels and skin tight jeans. Normal conversation took place, about how was your day? have you been busy etc etc. and then when i opened my mouth just before she started she said “i like your heels, how do you walk in such high heels”. I said with great practice. She then said “ i used to wear high heels like that but i can’t anymore.’ The female assistant didn’t say anything the whole time she was a bit younger and probably didn’t know what to think or where to look. After the appointment i walked out to pay nobody was in waiting room.  We chatted for a bit more then i left. I was so happy with this experience i decided to go to the local department store and look at some more heels. Walked in the store and walked around the edge of the store where nobody could have seen me. When i got to the shoe section two female workers were there. i could see them smiling an giggling. The younger one in her late teens went off to tell her work mates, as i saw another couple  of female staff members come over to look. nothing was said just smiles. I left with out buying anything as they didn’t have my sizes. Next  I went to go get an hour long thai massage. Lady didn’t say anything to me when i walked in during or when i left. Its like she didn’t notice or didn’t care. What an exciting outing it was today.

You know, this exact thing Always happens to me, too. Once I've gone to one place, I want to go to ALL of the places in heels. Even better when I have a shaven face!

  17. I don't think it's so much as "being caught" as it is simply "avoiding Certain people from finding out". At least, that's how I read it. I think some just read too in to the subject ;)

I, for one, have not. Though I have been surprised to not get any responses. When I worked at Target and then transitioned into Walmart, I bought a pair of the Kangaroos from Payless, form the womens' side of the store. The colors were sorta out there but not by a whole lot. And rightfully so because no one mentioned them! At all!

My last job allowed for us to come in wearing, essentially, what we slept in. We had to change into a uniform that consisted of steel toes so I took advantage of it and wore my flatform sandals often. Me being the 'shy guy' that I am, I'd avoid confrontation when entering And leaving the building, especially on days that I wore shorts so the sandals were on full display. But even after all that, no comments. No word on my shoes. Was as if I was not even trying to get attention!

With working at Walmart - one of the bigger locations - I could probably get away with wearing heels out to the mall across the street or related areas, but I'm fearful that one of the places I frequent has that one like-minded coworker whom goes there as much as I do.. ;(

Pleaser heels actually have thicker than normal stiletto heels and use reasonably thicker walled tubes between the heel tip and upper. Pleaser have always been designed with men in mind, hence they all come in very large sizes. I have many and they don't do what is described here for me. Can only guess he's not walking correctly.

I'd agree with this bolded statement, if there weren't heels that they have that isn't available in a size 12 at the moment. I did want to also stand - and maybe walk - in the 9" or 10" line, but alas. Sizes stop at US 9 :( Owning a pair would be for novelty sake, by the way.

To the topic, I have had heels "scratching" underneath my foot as well. I read that the OP was trying to describe the scenario of his predicament, and the best I could come up with was a "scratching" against certain surfaces, sometimes loud enough to hear a distinctive sound from your feet. It might explain why I actively avoid stilettos anymore! (I'm neither light nor into super high arched heels anymore).

What size are the Lita's, and how much?

My word! Apologies for the late response!

The "Litas" are a size 11 but I can fit them - size 12 - so they run a little big. I'm charging 15$ + shipping, via eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253735659029?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I also have another pair of shoes on the site, a rare breed even: Charla Tedrick! Size 12 "Trenton" brand, only worn once and in very new condition! Part of the proceeds go straight to charity as well~

  20. I learned of this happening after my move in April/May. Sometime since last September, I wore these YRU Qozmo platform sneakers to a convention for almost a whole day, and that was literally the last time I had put them on.

Fast forward to my move and this was the discovery: the shoe separating from the platform! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Still can't, even now. I had only worn them once and from that one wearing, they cracked! I'd like to assume that maybe, also, the environment the shoes are in - my room - make them a bit more prone to easy wearing out; rather, drying out because my room is in the basement with very little moisture depending on the time of day and season. But nonetheless, the shoes I paid a small fortune on were now unwearable Unless I put matters into my own hands.

Alas, the best access to anything I can do is either a hot glue gun my step-dad owns, or the "Gorilla Glue" I bought for this case. But BEFORE I do anything/make a possible mistake, do I have the best tools at hand here? Or will I need something more lasting and powerful?

Nice score for $25.  Maybe go to other Carsons and see if they have a different group of heels left.

You know, the ones I tried on was either too tight (and I don't think regular wear would loosen them enough to be wearable on the daily) or just wasn't my style/couldn't get into it. And then some I wanted but weren't available in my size, obviously.

But as stated, I'll head back to see if they happen to add more or if my mind sways at all.

  22. With the Carsons stores throughout the US closing very soon + my visit to Carsons with the family a week before Friday, I decided to race over to the store and snag a pair or two...and two pair it was! Now I tried on a number of shoes before eventually deciding on these - not a care in the world, might I add; methinks cleaning up my face had a big part of this confidence - and only spent a whopping 25$ for them! Both were regular 40$ each so the timing couldn't have been more perfect. What's more, they fit just right!

Brand is "Torrid" and I really hadn't paid close attention to this company in particular until that day, noticing that their sizes go up as high as 13 US! I was both taken back a bit, and happy that at least one company went above and beyond for their customers! These both are a size 11, which is also weird seeing that I main as a 12; and in some pics, they look like they're small but both fit me just fine. I'd need to give them a walk-around to be absolutely sure because the only 12s I saw were the cutout wedges. The booties aren't much of a problem, thankfully.

They had a nice serving of shoes left, too, so I might just swing by for another look.

  23. Now I'm not asking for exact details as to where you work or who you work for. But I have seen numerous mentions around the site of "....I've worn these to work time and time..." and "These are my work shoes..." and it begged the question out of me: Where in the world do you all work at?!

I happen to work retail & they do allow heels as comfortable as you are able while still doing your job, but not of a ridiculous height, either. But on a hot day, I wouldn't want to wear those same shoes out; in my case, cheap gym shoes fro Payless & small-heeled boots from same place. So before work, I brought in my favorite flatform open-toe shoes &, admittedly, have yet to wear them leaving work. Variety of reasons, really, including not having had done things sooner in heels of some sort. But I digress.

Most of you seem to have better chances of [public] heeling, and it seems to ride from the ability to wear them at your job(s). So if it's okay, spill it. What's your current career? (Bonus points for past careers that allowed you some freedom as well)
