  1. Sucks that they're all done only recently (after exploring his backlog). Guess he became a "bender" just this year, haha. What brought it about, I wonder.

  2. I have a friend that told me of a place I could go to for a pedicure. Now that I have money to afford such "luxuries", I might take a trip there soon. Who knows? My first gf might be there ;) I was thinking blue would be a nice color to start with. Orange...not so much. And ilikekicks, I can only imagine how much "manliness" the heels alone took away from you, in Her eyes. 50 percent, maybe?

  3. This seemed like noteworthy news at the time of watching, though not really surprising considering how slow society America takes its time with such subjects. I should be able to post a link later to the story. The site tends to lag years behind the airing.

Inside Edition, a tabloid-fueled "talk" show on ABC, aired a story of a couple whom was married for 10-20+ years. One day, the wife of said couple revealed to the husband that she wanted to start dating women, from out of the blue. So, seems surprising enough, right? But zoom over to the husband; and this is where the emphasis of the story was placed upon. The husband comes out as being a woman, dress, wig, and all.

Now I wasn't in the least surprised. In fact, I knew that this would be a perfect laugh for you all on the forums because it's not the story that would make everyone laugh. It's the fact that the news people of the show put a HUGE emphasis on the fact that the husband wanted to become a woman, and not that the wife were interested in women. Sure, it could be a sign of the times shifting for the better (the part of the wife), but the "times" Still can't get past a guy either wanting to become a woman himself, or just the mere thought of him dressing As a woman. So are times really changing? Don't seem like it.

Anyway, I thought it was wacky coverage of the story. Hopefully they get the story posted, as well as video of how they covered it.

  4. Even now, I'm debating whether I should PayPal it and "Bill Me Later", or to just wait until the first paycheck swings in. Other than that, I've bought and regretted the buy (because I was young), took it back only to regret that. By then, they disappeared. Nowadays, like now, I have to think about which will give in first: me (from buying or the patience to wait & buy) or the shoe retailer (to put on Sale or discontinue/rid of "old" stock faster). It's truly a love/hate relationship we have.

  5. I'm always eager to show them off Somewhere, no matter weather conditions. If it's snowy and the boots are high-heeled, guess I might be breaking an ankle this day. I consider them to be Those kind of boots, though the inner-lining tells me otherwise in a heartbeat. I'm also a guy that doesn't mind his toes experiencing a little frostbite, either :P

  6. As stated elsewhere, I wanted a pair of Jeffrey Campbells of exactly this style before the trend died off. Alas, everywhere seems to be sold out now and eBay and Amazon might be my only shot at getting a pair, though the pair will be used lightly or so. It's either that, or I go for the insanely-high, fetish-y type boots and shoes on online stores selling in the hundreds, with the heel merely cut off and the hole sealed where the heel was. I do want to give them a shot as well, though ;)

Posted pics below, the first of the Jeffrey Campbell "Night Walks", and the other from one of the online shops.

  7. This will be a long answer with some examples that might not be appreciated, but its how *I* view things.

Too often, those whom CLAIM to have an ' Open mind ' truly arent. I see it constantly and it makes me really wish ' those people ' would fall off the face of the earth as they are usually the ones causing a lot of the problems we ALL face today.

Guess I'm in line to fall off the earth then :(

I tend to keep an "open-mind" on situations that happen on the news, like "Okay, this person did [whatever] because he was troubled or he was desperate or whatever the case" when everyone else is convinced he did it because he's a heartless POS, or "Well, it could not have been the other guys because evidence suggests [yadda-yadda-yadda]" when society probably thinks the first group did it due to race, gender, or whatever.

In any case, after reading your post, I feel more "dumb-minded" than open about anything.

  8. She doesn't even look 11...unless it's that American mentality of mine again... The mom has good intentions in mind, but...no. My mom would NEVER...okay, I would have lied. She was able to buy a new computer at the job she used to work at. 600+ smackaroos that was used for good (me and little sister's education needs) but outside of that, she would never put everything on hold to please us. Not saying that was a bad thing for us; heck, I think it was best that way...okay, for me. My sister, on the other hand... This mom, however...not exactly "Mother of the Year." More in-league with the young mom waxing her daughter's brows. Hate to veer off-topic, by the way.

  9. Tomorrow, my school "prom" happens.

In Belgium, probably in most of Europe, the prom isn't really about the "couples and dates" and that stuff... If's just a party in dress and suit.

I'm obviously not going to wear heels there! I think I'm a bit like Rockpup and Ilikekicks. I have few "real" friends at school, and won't see most of the people ever again after the end of this scholar year. I don't care about what they think about me, they don't like me anyways, but I want do avoid troubles and bullying for the 2 months coming.

I will however keep my eyes open for the heeled girls! I enjoy taking a good look, and our prom hosts a LOT of heeled ladies. Too bad it's kind of dark inside, so I won't be able to take nice pictures...

I guess the "no bullying" epidemic has yet to hit Belgium! :P

I suppose it would be best to stay within the 'norm'. Honestly though, I would do it just because, mainly for the reason of never seeing those kids again for 10-20 years depending on the reunion (and notice I called them 'kids' and not 'teens'). In regards to your "friends", if they Are your friends, I'd expect them to have your back if things went awry with you being confronted for your footwear. That is, if they know about your thing for heels.

  10. Man, twas quite scary to read a lot of the comments here, not scary meaning to not comment but scary because many of you are good at what you do - heeling/in public, etc. - yet, no support from the top dog herself. I also am with a mom whom doesn't really accept it, but I believe she knows that I Will move out someday and that I Will nab as many heels as I can on that day. Probably why she keeps mentioning that I "have it best living with her" but she forgets "...and the step-dad, and the little sister" which, the former, is my reason for wanting to leave sooner (the step-dad) but not too soon as to have no support or back-up money to lean on, but I digress. But it is to the point that I am waiting for us to ask either "Can I see you in your shoes?" or "Try these on" in the store. On that day...someone might have a heart attack.

  11. I thought back to the year I went to Prom, back in 2010, May. I had to rent a suit, sure, but now I imagined what it would have been like to go to Prom in some high heels. The two below came to mind when I pictured myself, head-to-toe, dressed for the occasion. I now wonder if heels can easily fit into dressy attire such as a suit. Actually, I just wonder if a suit could handle heels easily. Has anyone ever attended an event suited up, the only eye-snatcher being the heels? If so, what kind of heels are appropriate for what occasion? The only reason I can think of for not wearing the heels with suit would be from pulling the attention off of the bride and groom.

  12. Whenever I bought a new pair, I would make it my sole reason, no pun intended, to wear them out to at least one or two places before I went home & boxed them in the trunk of my SUV. I've probably worn the shoes in my avatar the most out of All of the pair I've owned or had, with and without socks. Course, those times after the first weren't intentional. It was just because they are comfy :)

  13. This article would have been even more interesting if the older son (12 or 13 years old) was into high heels and she was supportive of him wearing them. It is her 2.5 year old son that is into heels. This is considered quite normal for a 2.5 year old and it is normal for the mother to support him, so there is really nothing unusual here.

I'm with you on that. As soon as I started reading, I was greatly disappointed. Only 2-and-a-half? Might as well have been a 6-month old. At least that would have been a story worth reading! And I could only imagine the comments being the most downright dumbest, close-minded typing on the planet. Loosen up, people. It's a 2+ year old, not your own kids. You can only wonder what would happen if their kids came out that way.

  14. Radiation or not, I've always wanted to visit Japan strictly for anime conventions and now, I can add "high heel look-around" and "shopping" to the list! ;) Course, those were long on the list some years ago, haha.

I don't know why I was expecting higher heels...must be the anime that's plagued my head (imagine that!). That, or prior pictures on the web I've seen here and there. Oh, and videos. I still want to try my hand at not-too-high, erm, "single-tooth getas" I believe they are called?

  15. ...I guess it just happened as well? HAHA

I mean I'd love to think of a creative answer to it, but seeing that I've had to force out a reason for myself on how I came into heels (rather, why is it I like heels the way I do), I guess it's a bit strange to say anything otherwise. But yeah, it started out as a curiosity that turned into wanting to experience super-tall platform heels and now, it's plateaued into just liking heels in general. Also as numerous others stated, I also had a fetish for it at one time and is still present today.

Now I just need a job so that I can buy more! :P

  16. I actually am a bit embarrassed by this one. Thank goodness it was just me and the salesgirl present.

I inadvertently stretched the shoes to the point that when I took them off, I could visually see the glue/adhesive that held them to the shoe. This is outside the fact that they were hidden wedge heelless shoes so I don't believe the girl saw what happened to them, hence I acted quick to make sure no one else saw what had become of them. Thankfully I didn't have money to buy them :P

The biggest reason I have is that my taste is shoes is just too expensive. My wallet won't let me. And when I set my sights on a pair I suddenly find that all other shoes, even if they look alot alike, are not nice enough.

You are Not alone on that one. I discovered Jeffrey Campbells about a year or two ago. Knock-offs I just shame down heavily (although a company whom name I forget Did have a pretty good knock-off I would have dealt with if the shoes weren't different sizes).

  17. Even though the height of Melissa's heels was within the usual 4" relative height, her comedic emphasis on the 2" platforms was obviously for show and in a way she was also taking a comedic shot at her own height among the other SnL participants.

Were we watching the same video? *Haha* They look like 6-inchers to me. Very dazzling 6-inchers at that.

  18. I'd rather spend my money on heels, thanks! And seeing that there isn't much interest from anyone else, I suspect others feel the same way I do.

    Steve

Better yet, I don't think people want to acknowledge the mere fact that us guys were the instigators behind heels becoming fruition in the first place :P

  19. I follow a certain male blogger that shows that even for a plus size, a dress, tights, and/or leggings can work if combined correctly. Before he came around, though, I followed several female fashion bloggers that really took their looks an extra step into territory I thought were inaccessible, especially to myself. Strangely enough, After he came around, I starting to take a closer look towards feminine socks (shown in my pic) & leggings. Hell, I even have a few colored rubber bands (considered 'trendy' with my generation) that I'd wear with similar-colored shirts I have.

I guess it only stands to reason that a lot of men take cues from women in their style. The vast majority of men do not care how they look while most of the rest who do are busy hiding. This leaves the very few men left (myself included) to represent. Meanwhile women have all the choices in the world and a lot of them take advantage. I used to do the crossdress thing but realized over the years that taking on a separate "female" personality just to have an excuse to wear something more stylish and desirable while hiding my true identity from the public was just ridiculous. What makes even less sense is to name any form of clothing or shoes, makeup etc. including heels and men wore/used it first in history, most all of it but now we are as a majority too scared or lazy to do otherwise?

To put it simply and it's stated elsewhere: it's a mindset thing. We're convinced that people Will Be watching us as we strut or wear any thing not the 'norm' or not us. Although somewhat true, it's enough to put that irrational fear in us & ward us away from public heeling, wearing makeup, necklaces, etc.

For me as well; it's the fact that I don't live in a very open-minded city & most of my closest family members are all "stationed" here. None of them know as of right now (about my heeling). 'Life's too short' but I'd like to hold on to my family while I can.

  20. Alright so I received an email back around a week ago. While I was emailing Nasty Gal, I decided to take the liberty & email another site that I hear a lot about, and that was karmaloop.com. If you want their reply, then let me know. Don't want to vie too far off-topic here. Nasty Gal's reply back was somewhat mediocre, though. It seemed like they saw that I was asking for a certain shoe in a certain size & nothing afterwards. Here's the email:

    Hello Chris,

Thank you for contacting Nasty Gal!

I am so sorry but I was unable to find any shoes on the website in a size 11.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

    Paula P.

Below the email, it said that they were also hiring, so I might have to apply & teach them that we exist in numbers! :P

  21. I couldn't think of a decent-enough title to incorporate for this topic, but just read on & you should be able to draw your own topic at hand.

We, the US, the world even, have been experiencing some tragic events in recents days & in even more recent months. You name it - Boston Marathon bombing, Newtown, CT pre-school shooting, Aurora theater shooting, heck, the Virginia Tech shooting if you want to go a bit further. All of these happenings seem to have something in common (except, maybe, the Marathon bombing): craze people raising havoc because of their own various reasons. BUT, that's not what I'm getting to.

As more & more men begin stepping from the shadows to don a pair of heels either they bought, a wife or relative bought them, or even, some they found one day on the street (and if they happen to be clean, consider yourself one lucky SOB), we begin to settle into our own norm from the world's abnormal, eventually learning that "fear of public heeling is only a state of mind that we must conquer for ourselves in order to be a better You." (Whosoever said something along those lines, state yourself so I can edit the post later). Once done, we can go on to live a happy life, no fears, no boundaries.

What I would like to know, though, and please enter this with an open-mind and do NOT consider reading further if you think this will sway you from future heeling endeavors. The fact of the matter is: heeling isn't quite the "norm" we're setting it out to be, Yet. The goal of this forum is to encourage other [males] like us to get their heels out of their closets & work them like you've never done before. But with society's current stance on a guy with high heels on, do You think our "thing" will soon become weird enough to land us a jail sentencing? In other words, say you're strolling through a Mall & a Mall cop stops you to ask what you're wearing & why you're wearing them. Do you think you would get off with a warning, or will you be deemed unfit for public exploration & sent to be, say, house arrested?

I hope I'm getting it out clear enough because, truth be told, there are varying levels of "weird" out there. Are we weird enough to be our own separate thing that soon becomes a norm?

  22. Hoping someone - a moderator - changes the title of the thread eventually. I'd hate for more to be misled to the wrong site.

As for me...I'm gonna try emailing them about these booties. I'm hoping to get enough money so that mom doesn't notice it disappear from my account (haha!), and take the jump to earning my 1st pair of JCs. But it won't be until a little later so by the time they read the email, maybe they can reassure me that I can get a pair of 11s in these, heck even size 12s! (But I won't push it)

  23. Well it anyone can stomach getting through the video, and the song for that matter, you get some neat shots at a lot of interesting pairs on her feet. Just don't blink, though. And probably not advisory for those who suffer a seizure from rapid images and whatnot. Probably best to just skip through the song here and there. I know many of you here can't stand today's music.

As a 21-year-old, I like the song. The video, well...she's very pretty, with and without shoes on ;) Also, a surprise near the end for you extreme heel enthusiasts~ (you're welcome)
  24. I found these Aerosoles on DSW and felt they needed an immediate posting on here. They have a bit of a flair to them that might fancy many of you on here. What's more: they go up to size 12! Definitely makes visiting my far-off store worthwhile (and to see what sticker color they have for size 12s, heh heh). I wouldn't mind them being the shoe I wear to get back into the hang of heeling, but the price and the money....go figure, haha.
