  1. Great post! I luckily now have a job that involves lots of walking, including a bit of up-and-down a ladder so the workout regime is all there.

I also would love to participate in one of the Walk events, learned about them around 2009 or so, when they seemed to have been more active. Now as I look for any nearby, the closest I can attend...is four hours away. So that's a no-go. I just started work anyway so getting the days off would be hard.

  2. Not everyone can be as amazing & daring & courageous as you are, haha.

I can only second what the previous two said while adding...You guys are vets so of course you might be getting bored. But are you getting bored of reading, or bored of helping? Because if you're bored with helping, then you might just be done around here for a little while, Not saying that you are because only you know that. But it takes patience to get the "new kids on the block" to up and go about, not caring what the world thinks. As they stated, that's when you & other active high heelers come in.

But then also realize that we're not As lucky as you are. Some have friends & family they worry about running into, and moving is not always an accessible answer; and then the select few that would like a relationship to be kept with certain friends & family so you gotta kind of consider our needs as well. Sure most of their family aren't very considerate when it comes to the subject, but the person's current state of affairs say to lay low for now, be patient, and when the time is right, strike with all our might.

They will get there. Things are looking great with the growing number of members on this forum. I bet you haven't noticed any of the people who posted a month or two ago being a newbie, Now posting about their first Outing? Goodness, I love those! <3

It really does come down to opinion. We really couldn't be 'safe' from the subject forever, you know? It was bound to make it way (and may be make rounds) to the forums sooner or later.

Take it as a test to see how much we can take before we finally show how strong we are ;)

I've actually considered this myself. 1) To see and be able to say 'I've gone to a convention' and 2) to see the wacky costumes everyone thinks up; not to mention myself dressing up for the occasion. Sadly, I can't think of anything remotely good enough to wear with a pair of heels and a good costume.

Still, I think you should go for it, as Rabbit said. I mean, you'd regret it otherwise, so why not go all-out now? Here you go. This is a video of a guy that dressed up as a female anime character (can't ask which) at ComicCon, This year. I liked it, honestly, and I think his girl (friend?) on the side showed no signs of disapproval, either. So you never know~

And, c'mon, confidence in themselves? That should be enough to start practicing in your heels right about now :P

wow! sorry so much! i didnt know i had gotten a comment here, so i apologize.

well, i guess it's the sheer fact that these ladies are able to walk in them that gets some guys riled up inside. then, it could be the fact that they are, in fact, some unique ideas thought up only by the greatest. i mean, look at where platform heels are: mainstream today like they were 20-30 years ago.

but whatever it is, it's sure to stay alive for a very long time.

and if you don't understand my answer, i don't blame you. i'm quite confused at what i said myself, haha.

certainly you could give all but a couple of pairs to a thrift store and put a couple of pair behind the seat in your truck. It would be a shame to waste all of your hard earned money time that you invested in your collection. even if you do separate yourself from your entire collection, you will never be able to quit. So, stay ahead of the game and keep a couple of pair just in case.

Aha, but I did. I AM still in school, and heels, at the moment, would be a distraction. True, I could have kept a few, but again, I just moved, and someone other than my mom would have seen them, and all Hell would break loose. Even now, I don't have a proper hiding spot for the heels, so I think I did good.

I'll certainly have the money to buy it all back (or just buy new ones) much later, after school. Cause private school is killing the mom's wallet right now, which is killing my allowance as well. I do appreciate the advice very much ^_^

If anyone could help me with the "jeans/pants" issue via PM, that would be appreciated ^_^

Hah, me and you both. Except, I don't have a single pair of boots :( Lend me some of your pairs! Lol

Yeah, I'm hesitant about getting boots, especially since I shop at donation (thrift) stores. Worse place to shop, right? Heh, it's affordable for me, but I'll move up to bigger, and cleaner, heels/boots soon. Hopefully, I can get this job at Baker's Shoes soon, but that's a whole other story, lol.

We need to shop for boots :D Lol
