  1. Hi all.

It's been a while since I posted here, but much hasn't happened.

Just thought I'd drop a post to stay alive here.

    Here are my newest purchases;

A nice boot with pointy toes and 8cm heels. The perfect boot, like they were shaped in the 80's. Very comfortable to walk in with rubber tip and sole.

I use these every day on my sparetime and at work.

And still... not a word at work (read my older posts). I also have a LOT of sneakers that I use at work and everytime I drop in with a new pair, a lot of comments on those, but not when I wear boots. Hrm... I guess they don't really dare to say anything. Sneakers work for a man but heels stands out from the crowd so they don't really know what to comment.

And don't be distracted by the thighhighboots in the background.

I've also bought these with a more cowboy-style. They are more 'plastic' and both the heel and sole makes the plastic click on hard floors.

Both boots a worn under the pants.

  2. My wife don´t like at all me in heels, so I don´t wear heels with her. GF is more understanding - lets me wear heels with her, but is not very supportive.

I'm sorry if I'm missing something here...

Does your wife and GF know of each other? If so, do they approve of that solution but not your heels? Hrm...

Stick with the GF and let her get used to your heels.

  3. :bday: I do remember the feeling you describe, when taking the first step into public areas. And I really admire your progress into pumps and thigh high boots, I'm way behind you on that. I also must say, that you being a member of this board have helped a lot of other newbies during the years. Where I'm one of them. And I'd like to thank you for that. And yes, we do look up to you because of your courage and boldness you've proven during the years. Also all your great stories and your nice comments to all and everyone. BTW You joined this forum about a week before I did back in 2002. I'm just a bit behind in the postings... ;) Let's here it for JeffB, hurray, hurray, hurray, hurray...

  4. Well, this is just my opinion, but I've never much liked the look of jeans in shorter boots.

I agree, but if they are tight, then I actually think it works. The advantage, I think, with jeans (compared to lycra or stretch) is that you can see the seam in the pants. If no seam is visible, I think it looks like you're wearing long underwear or bikerpants, and that doesn't work (in my opinion) with boots.

It do work if the boots end above your knee and you have a jacket or loose shirt on top. I think your pictures looks great, I can't see what pants you're wearing but it works great.

But if the boots is just below knee, I want the pants to look like real pants, that's why I'm looking for a pair that is rather tight. Jeans or no jeans, doesn't matter, as long as they looks like a pair of pants.

    -> Dawn HH

Thanks. I'm hoping to wear them later on. It might start under the pants though, we'll se.

  5. -> JeffB Yes, gray... ;) I'm looking for another color than I'm having today; I have 4 pairs in black, one in brown today. And one pair in white, if they fit. Some other color would be nice, so I thought of maybe gray. And for the thighter jeans, I'm of looking today maybe. I have the same problem with wearing pants inside my shorter boots, it doesn't look good, so that's the first step.

  6. ->> Thighbootguy

I'll try your tip with the socks, I still need pants with narrow legs though, but it's really worth a try.

    ->> JeffB

I know which jeans you mean and I shall take a trip to a store later this week to see if I can find any.

What do you think about a pair in gray? They might match the silver in the white boots.

I'm longing for them and hope they'll come soon...... ;)

You've got me started with my long boots again. I just had to pick my thigh high boots, out of my closet this weekend and try them on.

Anyone care to have a look at one of my pairs, you'll find pictures here:

    Thighhigh boots

    Enjoy

  7. As for what to wear, hmm! Perhaps black jeans or black leggings tucked into the boots with say, a white, silver or light gray colored top.

I'm thinking in that direction too...

I also thought about a pair of white jeans I have somewhere, I haven't used them for many years so I don't know if they'll fit me (or if they are still white). And on top, a light gray shirt.

I actually have a silver belt, but that might be a bit overdoing it.

Btw, JeffB, I really love your pictures on photobucket of your thigh high boots. I have two pairs much like those you are wearing in the pictures, and they are another goal of mine, but in the future...

Thighhighs, if you gather the courage to wear them outside pants I think it will be really headturner boots. I think they are very nice looking!

I need to find a pair of tighter pants that would stay inside the boots even after sitting down. I don't like to look of pants that overflows from the shaft when you get up from a chair. They need to stay in place.

Leggings, as JeffB suggested above, is not really my style for the boots. It would feel like I'm having underwear with long legs, it might work though for the thigh high boots. Hm...

  8. I'm envious of you for having such gorgeous boots!

I'd love to buy a pair for you too but if I recall correct, you had size 13-14 or something, and the largest size in these are 41 EU.

I don't mean to rub-it-in even more, but I've also bought a pair in white. Don't know when to use them but I got them for 25 EUR and just coldn't resist.

I went for a pair in pink also, just to have the complete serie but I gave it up in the end...

  9. Thanks JeffB.

I'm honoured, and when these words comes from you, I know you mean them. ;)

    DawnHH.

Always a nice comment standing by. Keep it up.

As for shopaholic, I've bought another pair of the boots I'm wearing in the picture, because they are the best I've ever had. In the description, the seller states they would cost 140 EUR in shops. A bit high I think, but never-the-less, they are really nice.

  10. The last purchase has arrived and these are one of the best pair I've had so far.

Have worn them 2 full days now and they feel like they were made for my feets.

Not that good pictures but anyway...

Todays outfit; black jeans and light blue shirt.

  11. Bubba136 I'd love to do that, I have an Excel-file with all of my footwear the latest 8 years so that is no problem... ... the problem is more on her boyfriends side, and my girlfriends side. I don't think anyone of them finds that a good idea. I have already tipped her about eBay, and she's been looking there and found a lot. She is just not that willing to buy them without trying them on first, also leaving your CreditCard over internet is no good for her. Later this fall I'll do some browsing in shoeshops in Stockholm to see if I find anything to my liking. It's just so boring with all these large comapnies that are in every mall and sell the same shoes everywhere, if you've seen one shop , you've seen them all. I'll go through the phonebook to find som 'real' stores where they still have people hired, who loves shoes and don't only works behind the counter.

  12. Bubba136... Don't you think that thought crossed my mind also, just briefly, but it will never happen though. If we were both single, the boots might actually end up in her/our closet because she is very attractive. I would allow her to have them in her closet since they are too big for her, that way I could have space in my closet for even moor boots. ;)

  13. Have you worn these boots out and about, yet? If you have, what reaction did you get?

Well, I haven't worn them out yet.

I've had them at work for a week though. This time a more discrete outfit with the pants over the boots, but not covering the heels.

People at work have become numb to my footwear and no one really cares anymore, so sad... ;)

I've only had two comments to them:

A guy in the warehouse said they looked really good and about my crocodileboots, he asked if it was real crocodile or not (sorry, no). Not a word about the feminine style of the heel.

Another lady in the office asked if I bought a new pair, again...

She is a bit envious of my collection and has said she wants to have all my boots in her closet.

Still waiting for the last two boots....

  14. Were you able to return the boots that were the wrong size or did you have to keep them and order another pair?

My first try with Steve Madden was for a pair with round toes (more info in another thread). The style is called SOAR.

The seller offered return within a few days, but then I had to pay for the returnshipment Sweden-USA and the new cost for USA-Sweden. I sold them on a Swedish copy of eBay (Tradera.se) and made a small profit instead.

What style and type of jeans do you typically wear out with your boots?

So far, I've worn a slightly bootcut style and a traditional straight (don't know what it's called) style. I have jeans in black and blue.

Normally the jeans have ended just below where the heel meets the boot, ie you can see most of the heel.

I have no pair with a thight fit that would work inside the boots, might try and get some for the winter.

I'm longing a bit for a pair of leatherpants to go with the boots, but we'll see...

For the brown boots above, I'm trying to find a pair of jeans in that colour. It is not that easy, I can tell you...

That is a snazzy pair of boots that you found on the net. Your as bad as me...I'm always looking for boots everywhere.

Yes, I like them a lot. I've always had a thing for the western cowboy style, ever since I was a kid.

This search for new boots have become a poison for me. I find a nice pair, I buy them.

When I've had them in the box for a while and had time to make an opinion abut them, I keep some and sell some. Sometimes a pair can look gorgeous in the picture, but when you receive them it was not really what you expected.

  15. I think most of the peoples footwear on this site would cause an extra glance when sitting in a Mall. The heel is a bit too low for me, to be perfect, but I really like the front of the boots. I don't think anyone would notice from a frontview, they are maybe a bit too pointy for a man, but who gives a s--t. Yesterday, I returned to the shoeshop and changed the boots with zippers above to another pair of the last stilettoe crocodile boots. Now I have two pairs of that one. I also bought a new pair of black jeans. Normally I wear 32" in length. This new pair was 34" in length. It would be impossible to wear them without shoes but my intention is to wear them with these crocodile boots. This pants covers all of the heel when standing up, I think I'd use them as a start to wear them outside (that is outside home and work).

  16. I like these the most:

    Posted Image

But all three pairs were most impressive!

I agree, these are perfect in my opinion. Perfect heel height and style, perfect toearea (not too long, not too short) and a great design. Dispite the low price, they are also very comfortable.

Sounds like you employed the same strategy that JeffB used. Start out with lower heeled womens shoes and gradually increase the height, letting people getting used to seeing you in different shoes

When I started wearing heels, I had almost nothing else than 2-3" stilettoes and that is not a good start for someone who ain't that open and free at that time. So eventually I got hold of some lowheeled boots to start of with and it has worked fine for me....

Today I'm wearing the boots with the kitten heels and have found another problem (not really a problem, but something to think about at least).

I'm having no problems with heels that makes a klick-sound, almost all shoes makes noice in different ways.

What is more disturbing is the sound the sole makes when hitting ground. These boots have a plastic-sole and makes a high-pitched splash when hitting ground. Very annoying (is it spelled so?).

Planning to let them have a new sole of rubber glued on, to decrease the sound a bit. It might ruin the smooth lines in the design though...

  17. I agree with everyone else. You should have no problems walking around in them. If you'd like to start careful, wear them under your pants to get used to the sound of the heels yourself. I would have bought something like that myself if I found them in a store.
