  1. Unfortunately the Bronx Scarlet in the UK is an ankle boot, and Zappos won't ship internationally. Which is a shame because I've seen several pairs on the site that I like, but hey, if they don't want the sales...

    Chris

Yes, I know, I've found them in a lot of stores in the ankle version. That one is nice, same heel and toe, but I'm missing the decorations and the longer shaft.

And as you say, if Zappos don't want to sell... it's their problem, but they do have many nice styles.

I have a good memory!

I see where you're coming from work wise. I haven't worn any heels to my new job yet. I wore my Payless 1 inch women's booties on my first day but they can be taken as men's shoes anyway. I've been in my new job for two weeks now and settling in nicely - so next week I'm going to wear my Oprington wedges, New Look wedges and probably my Peacock tan block heels as they're pretty inconspicious. But after that I might try something else a bit more. But we'll see - although my new workplace has no dress code I don't want to rock the boat too much too soon. Enough about me...

Let us know if you do wear them - especially tucked in. :rocker:

As they say, first opinion counts, and as long as men in heels, is not fully acceptable in society, I think it's best to go slow to start with.

I've been at my work for 14 years now (wow, it's time for some changes maybe) so among the 'oldies' the heels are no problem. Since I don't really know the new persons and what the feel about it, I'd introduce them starting with lower heels.

One other issue is that one of the new guys, is a friend of a friend of a friend, and the last person in that link, do not know about my heelwearing.

And you know, the word travels fast. So I'm not sure if I really dare to wear them at work, but time will tell.

I still have a lot of possibilities to wear the boots...

  2. -> heelium I get your spirit  , no offence taken what so ever. I totally agree with you, something even skinnier than above jeans would probably look even better. These blue jeans was all I got at home right now (hm, that is in the skinny department. I've got more clothes...:rocker: ). I will look around for something a bit stretchier and let you know. It might be a bit cold for that at the moment though. Today we have had +6 C and it will get colder, I promise you.

  3. Hi,

As you've noticed the street style for this fall is really pants/leggings... tucked into boots.

I don't really care if it makes someone look taller or shorter. If someone is very fat or very skinny, they wouldn't fit in that style anyway.

For a normal body, I think it looks great. If it is a nice style on the boots and no baggy pants hanging over the top shaft.

I myself have not really worn the boots that way. I've been more into concealing the boots, but still have the heel visible.

But I think that might change with my last purchase; the Bronx Scarlet-boots below.

This picture is with blue jeans and I think that contrast really shows the boots in it's glory. Though I might start with a pair in black first so the boots are not that obviously.

  4. Those are gorgeous. I'd like something similar myself, as I don't own any pull-on boots apart from my thigh length ones.

Sounds like you had fun trying them on in the shop too!

    Chris

    Thanks,

If anyone wants a similar pair (and you have small sizes of course) they are available at Zappos.com, search for 'bronx scarlet'.

I think this model only goes up to 41 EU, that's the largest I've seen anyway. But that's no problem for me becouse I'm normally 40-41 (UK 7, US 9-10), so I have no problem finding my size.

That was actually my first shopping experience with a conversation with the staff. I really enjoyed it but I was rather nervous about it. I don't really know why since I didn't know anyone in the store, I don't usually go there and the probability that someone I know enters the store, is one in a zillion...

Nice boots! I like how they look tucked into your jeans. Will you wear them to work?

Ahh, you've been reading my other posts. Nice.

Well, I plan on doing it later on. We've had some circulation among the personal and we have hired 4 new people the last two months I think I'd better take it a bit easy in the beginning, not for me, but as not to frightening them away. :rocker:

At the moment I'm using the two cowboy-styled boots in the other thread. Ok, one has a thin heel but it's not that high...

But, stay tuned. I will be wearing the to work later on, I don't know if the jeans will be tucked in or on the outside yet.

thighhighs: I'm officially jealous! Those Bronx boots look sensational on you! Hopefully you'll take them on a spin, with jeans tucked in for all to see! Boots like those, with that dynamic ornament just begs to be seen! Good luck to you, I hope you'll enjoy those boots for a long time!

    Thanks JeffB.

Well, for 165 EUR I hope they'll last long. I think they are the most expensive boots I've bought for myself. Ok, I've been buying some secondhands that originally costed like these, but then I didn't pay so much for them.

I will 'take them for a spin', but at the moment I'm only using them indoors. As I said before, I have the right to return them until beginning of January, so if I should come to a point where I really need the money, I think I have to say goodbye to them. That's also why the pricetag is still on the sole.

If I still have them January 10, I shure will take them outside.

  5. Hi,

If some of you read my other thread about me (http://www.hhplace.org/discuss/guys/6235-its_been_while.html

then you know I've saw a pair of boots by Bronx.

The model was Bronx Scarlet Nr 12918.

They are below knee-high with a stillettoe heel of 3.5 " and not so pointy toe.

As I said by then, they were too expensive for me.

Since then I've been more or less ocupied in my mind of how to get hold of a pair for me. I've been counting my money back and forth. I even mailed a reseller in Poland, who had them rather cheap, if the shipped to Sweden...

Today I decided to go and buy a pair anyway. With my usually luck, I'd win $1000 next week, and then they all be sold out.

So I went into the city and walked around in a few shoe shops who I know have had them. In the first two, they were sold out in my size.

In the third I finally found a pair for 165 EUR, I grabbed them and went to the checkout. The girl behind the desk asked if somebody should try them on and I said I should (but I just had to add that it was a X-maspresent for my girl, and we have the same size... shame on me not to actually stand up and say they were for me...).

So, I tried both boots on and did a short walk around in there. Sorry though, I was actually alone in there. How could that be, it's X-mas-shopping and the street outside were so crowded you could hardly walk, but in here, I'm alone... hrm... fine with me, but strange..

Anyway, the girl said the fitted perfectly and I walked very well in them. 'Have you been practicing walking in heels before' she asked me.

At that point I had to tell her the truth that they were for me and I planned to actually wear them myself.

'Cool, you are the first man I've seen trying on women shoes here. They fit you very well and I'm sure you'll be a hit at any party you'll join. Do you want to keep them on or shall I pack them in the box?'

As I planned on leaving the field open for an eventual return later on (if I need the money), I said that she could pack them in the box for me. To shame I haven't got a bit more money right now, then I would have kept them on me.

And strangley, we were alone in the store all the time. Buy the time I should pay for them, 5 people came into the store, it was like they were standing outside the door and just waiting for a green light...

So, at last I have them in my possesion and on me as I write this.

Here are some pictures of them, as a preview.

  6. Hi,

JeffB, I've also noticed that almost all younger female creatures have this style here in Stockholm.

It looks really good and I've thought about trying it too.

For those of you who'd like to have a daily look at the fashion walking around in the streets of Stockholm, there's a blogg with daily pictures of the fashion at:

    http://stockholmstreetstyle.blogg.se/

    Sample of last week:

    Posted ImagePosted Image

Ok, the last is not with jeans, but I like the boots...

Take a look at the site, there are at least 4 pictures added everyday, all with comments from bloggers.

In this thread are two of the boots I've been thinking about; the first with a stilletto heel and the cowboy-styles on page 4.

    Here are the pictures again:

  7. Wow, I like your styles a LOT !!!!!

The first pair is great for daily wear and the second, bronx,... I don't know what to say... If you were supposed to be born with boots on your feets, these would be my choise !!!

    Thanks Listax.

And welcome to the forum, and as Thighbootguy said, your taste equals mine, so it should be great

I've worn the cowboy-styled 24/7 since I got them, well not in bed, and not reallt 7 days since it was 5 days since I purchased them...

About the Bronx-boots, I don't know how to buy a pair since I really can't afford it, but I MUST HAVE THEM:pulsingheart: :rocker::biggrin:

    -> Bernheels

Is it these you are refering to?

    Posted Image

Your eyes don't lie to you, the heels are exactly 7.5 cm.

Actually they are up for sale! I've gone through my closet (no, that is not correct, I can't really get into it at all because of all shoes...) so I'm selling some of my boots.

This pair, I'll sell for 40 EUR + shipping. I've been told they originally costed around 80 EUR so I think the buyer will get them for a bargin. They are only tried indoors, no scratches or marks. As New! No box

    Size UK 7, 40 EUR.

    Link to auction:

    http://www.tradera.com/auction/auction.aspx?aid=36344857

This auction ends tomorrow at 10:13 (Swedish time) but i'll relist it if it has no winners.

I can send it Internationally if I get a request from this board. Payment through PayPal for internationally buyers...

  8. Thanks JeffB.

I'll see if I can find some extra money to actually buy them soon. I think they are absolute PERFECT, not one single thing to lower the score from a big 10-points.

    And welcome back, JeffB.

We've missed you a lot, but I think we all understand the reason why and no-one holds anything against you for your abrupt ending.

I myself, do understand the feelings you had when looking at yourself from a little distance. I can find myself thinking about what to wear tomorrow and how it should look, and then 'wake up' and an hour has passed. When laying in bed trying to sleep, my mind almost always ends up on the topic heels, boots, shoes....

As my postings can tell, I buy boots all the time. And as you said in another posting, some of them I've only worn once or twice.

I buy them because they look good! As is the case with the Bronx-boots above... hrm.... but anyway....

  9. Hi all.

Just a short update on latest purchase.

Now, don't you start with 'Ohhh, that was girlish' when you see the knot on the side of this one. The knot can be made into something else with a bit of imagination.

    Posted Image

The thing about these boots that I really like is the heel, the decoratinos AND the thin sole; all adding up to a cowboy-look in a very feminine way.

The knot is untied and the ribbons have been wrapped around the shaft instead. Like this:

    Rather discreet setup I think.

I've also seen these boots from Bronx in a shop and they have the same theme. I think they are gourgeous and I just must have them. Too bad they are a bit too pricey for me...

  10. Thanks heelme and Heel-D. I'm soo glad im not US13, that would be a problem for me, I'm a shopaholic and don't know what to spend my money on if not footwear. Well ok, family, the house, travels... ok I know, but that is not just as fun as this. I'm wearing the more popular size womens US 9 (men: US 7-7.5) so I have a lot to choose from.

  11. They're great!

I've had them on me for 8 hours in three days now, no problems at all. The heel is only 8.5cm and rather wide so for me it's no problem.

Now that the snow has disappeard from the first snowfall this fall, I'm hoping for a warm period now so I can use them more...

They are not lined for cold weather so I might have to put in an extra sole to keep them warmer. Also they do not have a rubber sole on the outside so they were very slippery.

I still have these for the winter:

    Posted Image

They are sooooo warm and nice when the snow comes...

  12. I partly agree about the sound, you've choosed the heels, the sound comes with the heels.

There might be times though, when you do not want the sound anyway.

Here are some more pics of the Kit-boots

(And I know, the label is still under the soles, it's been removed now... :rocker:)

  13. Wow - a bit expensive. 1/10th the price for Payless, and 1/3rd the price for mainstream manufacturers which do manufacture boots in my size (I have many).

I'll have to pass. Economics rules. Market economy. Etc.

I hope you're thinking in Euro, the shop is in Sweden and we haven't joined the Euromarket yet. We still use Swedish Krona (SEK).

1 SEK = 0,11 EUR, so the boots for 249 SEK is only 27,40 EUR. Like Payless I guess.

Btw, the other pair of boots above have arrived and they are gourgeous!

They are made by Kit, anyone who has a link to Kit?

  14. Hi all.

Thought we could run a thread that contain links to shoestores in different countries.

It's not so easy to know what boots/shoes/heels... are called in the different languages that we all speak in this forum. If we knew then we could Google for the shops ourselfs, but it'd be easier if all posted the links from their own countries. This is merly out of curiosity, to see what's hot and new in the different countries.

Please, do NOT post shops who sell fetish-shoes, unless they have something more than Pleaser, Ellie, ... We have at least 20 internet-shops in Sweden who imports these from USA. Fetish-shoes is no problem to find, the links here are supposed to show ordinary daily footwear that everybody can use.

I thought I'd start with some links from Sweden:

    First a short dictionary that might help when surfing these pages;

    boots - stövlar

    ankle boots - ankelstövlar

    shoes - skor

    party - fest

    men shoes - herrskor

Boots like Pleaser, but with different colours and styles you won't find anywhere else.

  15. Very cool boots, thighhighs, congratulations!

Thank you for the links - WOWWWW. What a fantastic assortment of styles in both shoes and boots. I especially enjoyed the footwear at SCORETT. I'd buy half their product line if I could and they came in my size.

Looking forward to some pix of your new boots.

    Thanks,

yes, SCORETT really have a lot of nice styles. They have some fantastic stillettoeboots that looks so good. If I were a woman, I'd buy all my boots there (if I could afford, they are rather expensive).

    Here comes a few new pics of the first cowboystyled boots above;

The heels is higher than ordinary mensboots, but not too high to look strange.

  16. I'm also drooling over these pair I've found on eBay, I think I'll place a bid on them:

    Posted Image

They look really nice and are in my size. The heel is 8.5 cm so it's a bit taller than the first pair, but I just loooooove the design of them...

    ITEM WON !!! :D

For £9.99 I got above boots that are brand new!

Looking forward to a fast shippment so I can try them on asap.

  17. Well, the shaft on the second pair doesn't appeal to me too much (if it were taller, thinner, with no decoration and with a zipper, then it'd be more than OK) ---

I get your point , now this is a cowgirl style so it's supposed to look like this...

I've tried to find boots that fit your discription also, because I like them too, and there are a LOT of them today in the shops, but I haven't found any that is perfect yet (in reasonable pricing). I know you get what you pay for, but I can't afford 150-200 EUR for one pair at the moment...

    Here are some links to stores in Sweden so you can see what's hot at the moment;

  18. As the shopaholic I am, I went to the mall today and bought these boots:

The heel is 7cm and that will pass mostly unnoticed, I think.

I would have wonted the shaft to be a bit taller, but then the heel were too high and not so nice...

I'm also drooling over these pair I've found on eBay, I think I'll place a bid on them:

    Posted Image

They look really nice and are in my size. The heel is 8.5 cm so it's a bit taller than the first pair, but I just loooooove the design of them...

  19. Nice choices and great photos, thanks.

    ----

Until guys wearing heels becomes more commonplace, I don't see what you are experiencing changing much. I would think, however, that women in the workplace would be the first to offer a comment unsolicited.

I wear my heels in the office daily.....but then again, I work from my home, LOL, so I guess that doesn't count. Keep it up, the boots are great.

    Thank you

Well lets start wearing heels more in public, then we can change the shy attitude of our surroundings. And yes, the female part of my coworkers have actually commented some of my boots, so it's more naturally for them to discuss heels than it is for us boys...

    And, office as office... :D

    Hey there ThighHigh.

Just wanted to say that I really like some of your boots.

Though I dont think ive ever see that many pairs of shoe's before.

Also, I know, there is no way that i'd be able to walk in some of them.

    Still look great.

    Thank you too.

I know, I'm a shopaholic. I just can't get a nice pair of shoes/boots out of my head once I've seen them in a shop or on the net. The only way to easy my mind is to buy them.

As you saw in my link in my signature, I have most sneakers (or trainers if you like). My favourite styles at the moment is either Adidas Tuscany or Puma SpeedCat/FutureCat. they are soooooo soft and nice.

Now some of you might think that it's two very different styles of footwear; sneakers and highheels. I agree, but I just love the design of both of them so why shouldn't I have them both?

I have no problems in walking in 4" stilettoe boots a whole week, then again I wear sneakers the next week.

  20. ->Guy N. Heels Hi there, Thighhighs. Great looking boots! I would like a pair for myself, but I doubt that I can still balance on the narrow heels. Well, with some practice, you'll be up on them again in no time.

  21. Hi again.

hi ther thigh highs, where did you get those boots? they're great!!!

The first pair, I bought in a store, or actually a chain of stores called Wedins (www.wedins.se this pair is not there btw), in Stockholm. They costed 399 SEK (about 43 EUR, $55).

It's not an expensive or very-high-quality brand, but it works for normal usage. I like them so much I think about buying an extra pair, just in case something happens to the first pair. (And YES I'm a shopaholic!)

The second pair is from another (lower-quality) chain called Skopunkten (www.skopunkten.se).

(They have a standing offer of 'Buy 3 and get one for free' which is perfect for me who needs  to spend money on shoes every month.

For less than $100 you'll get three pair of boots (or heels, sneakers...).

As I said, there is a difference of quality even with these low prices.

I think we all secretly like that "rush" when someone notices the shoes and you don't quite know whether they're going to say something or not. They don't know what to say, their minds can't stretch that far.

Even the most confident looking people don't dare to say anything and THAT gives a real feeling of power!!!

I agree with the rush feeling, I like it and I guess that's part of why I wear heels.

Lets also hope that the confident people is silent because they don't dare to talk and not because they try to opress with silence...

  22. Thanks Bert. As you say, it's peaceful but I think it's also kind of disturbing when people treat you in another way based on the footwear. Not entirely correct, they do not treat me differently, no one is avoiding me, talking behind my back, or such... but no one haven't mentined anything about the heels either. I'm not wearing them to show off or get attention, but if others can comment on me wearing sneakers and T-shirt in the same colour or 'Hey, nice shoes', I'd like to get some comments about the boots at least. Like; 'nice boots' or something, if I wear a new pair for the first time. I get comments on a new jacket, shirt, and other clothes... Maybe I'm asking for too much, maybe I am showing off but don't really know it, maybe I need to get attention, I don't know... Has anyone else felt like this? You have been accepted by your surroundings in the way that they don't talk shit about you, but they don't really talk about the shoes at all. Like; if we try not to mention the fact that he is wearing ladies boots, he might give it up and be normal...
