  1. Yesterday morning I had the boots on while going to work. It was 6.40 am so it was still dark outside and I was going to be first at work today.

The trip started with a walk for 5 minutes to the bus, I was a bit late so I had to run the last 100 meters to catch it but I got on it. I place myself near the rear exit so I didn't have to go through the bus to get off. There are not many passengers at this hour so I should be rather alone back there, but not completely. After a few stops a younger lady get on and takes the seat slightly behind me on the opposite side, she should have perfect view of the boots and I try to check on her from time to time to see if she's noticed them. The ride takes about 25 minutes and there are actually a lot of people getting on the bus.

During the last 5 minutes of the ride, I'm shure that she has seen the boots, because she looks a lot in that direction. When I'm getting of, she stares at the and then looks up and nods at me, as to say 'Great boots', at least that is what I hope she would say...

Next transportation was the subway. There, it is not very dark, on the contrary it's full daylight and stone floor. Not a good combination if you don't want to get noticed, but I thought if I walk slowly the sound wouldn't be too loud. The tip of the heels are hard rubber but still make a high clicking sound, wich I like but makes people look down at them.

I had a bit of luck because there was a train coming into the station that drown most of the sound so I could walk normally on the platform.

The subway took another 25 minutes and a lot of people had their chance to see the boots, but I don't think anyone saw them. Maybe a lady in the seat opposite me saw the pointed toes but nothing else.

I got of at my station and got out, still dark outside and a lot of people. Who turns up there if not a female co-worker and says 'Hello, may I join you?' We had a walk of a few minutes ahead of us before we got to our work. Luckily it had snowed during the night so the heels didn't make to much sound and she had a large jacket with a hood on so she didn't see my boots. I tip-toed more or less all the way to work and as the gentlemen I am, I opened the door for her so she could go inside before me.

I both wanted her to see them and not to see them. But this time she didn't.

    ***********************************************************

Today I took a pair of boots that are not so feminin but still kind of female workboots with 2" block heels.

These have soft heels so I can walk relaxed in them. Also could they pass as male boots specially when it's winter outside. In these I don't care if somebody looks or not, because they are more accepted even for men, maybe with a slightly lower heel, but anyway.

    And at last as a summary of previous discussions in the thread about my site;

the correct adress is www.bootsandsneakers.net and it's working. The site is still very much under construction on my harddisc but there is at least a welcome page and in the Preview link you'll find a map with pictures of my shoes in them (Boots/ and Sneakers/).

  2. Thank you all for such positive feedback on my boots. Well, I agree with you otherwise I wouldn't have bought them in the first place.

I got them through eBay, from a seller in Germany and have no idea where she got them from. They are made in Italy and size 40, that is all information on the boots.

If someone knows who made them, when they were made and original price, please post your info here.

They shure bring back memories from the past, don't they? This is the style I like best. I must confess that the last years fashion is the ugliest I've ever seen. Even the platforms of the 70's were better looking then todays blade heels, pointed toes that ends 5 cm in front of your own.

My best years are the 80's and beginning of the 90's, that is what I call style.

About the changing on the bus, the boots are up to the top part of my kneecap, so they are more or less over-the-knee. They are also very, and I mean VERY, soft so I pull up my pants a bit and then pull on the boots. Push down the pants over the boots and then pull them up again through the pants. It was a bit tricky, but I did it when I knew it was a long pass between two stops.

I scan through eBay on a regular basis to see if I can find some nice boots, so far I've bought 13 pairs from USA and Europe. Most of them, no all of them have stiletto heels around 3-4 inches high. The pair above are the widest heels, the rest are true stilettos.

The next step will be the 4" in my Avatar-picture to the right. They do look a lot more feminin that those I wore above, but they do look great.

Will be back with more, if you want.

  3. Highluc and Joak, you are so right.

I was so eager to get the pictures and my story posted here so I used the temporary adress to my domain.

Since the domain now have been activated, the old adresses don't work. I have changed my posts above so now everything should work fine.

And Joak, you already have me among your guests. I'm number 31. For more pictures of my boots, look at Joaks page; www.joak.org and then the guestgallery #31.

Any point of views of my 4" boots? Have any of you guys walked in such in public?

I'll post under 'Add your URL here' when my site is up and running.

  4. Dr Shoe:

Tell me where you got them or I'll make you wear Doc Martens!

Hey you, that's a threat

As I said before I got them through eBay, that's all I know. Once again if somebody knows anything more please let me know.

As a little preview before next trip, below are my 4" boots that I plan to wear when I fell I'm ready for them, or rather my surroundings are ready for them. They are a bit more feminin.

    And about me webpage...

... it got terminated during my vacation, because I didn't log on to it for 2 weeks.

    So much for free webhosting.

I've just started a new account at ServerPro instead. There are no pages there yet, but you can access the pictures and look at them if you want. I have a map for my boots and another for my sneakers.

    Look at www.BootsAndSneakers.net/images/

  6. Finally I went outdoors in my new boots.

I recently purchased a pair of over-the-knee high boots with 3+ inch nearly stiletto heel and with pointed toes. With 'nearly' I mean not as thin as most stiletto-heels but in my opinion it's still a stiletto. Also they have metallic decorations on a band that is twisted two times around the boot.

Previous adventures in heels (at least in public) were limited to block heels on ankle shoes like "terrain shoes" and such. Never in a real pair of heels.

My new boots are always kept in my shoulderbag just waiting to be released when the right moment comes...

...and finally, yesterday, I decided to make a little deal with my self.

I was riding my usual bus home after work, sitting on the second row from the back. I had people both behind me and in the nearest seats in front of me.

The deal was that if everybody behind me went off and no one in front of me could see what I was doing, I would change into the boots. I sat many stops and both wishing they would get off, and also not wishing they wouldn't. Two stops before where I should get off, most of the people around me actually went off the bus. So I changed into the boots, pulling my pants down as far as I could. (Try this in a bus seat without looking suspicious)

I knew that the pants wouldn't cover the heels at all but I wanted them to end where the heels ended, covering at least the decorations.

Then I went of the bus, went into the train station, bought my ticket, waited for the train, rode the train for half an hour, walked off through my home station and walked all the way home (about 1 kilometer).

That trip really felt good. I know that some ladies looked at the boots, most of them only saw the boots from up front, but the do have a pointed toe as boots had in the 80's, not as pointed as todays (ugly) fashion. No one said anything or did funny looks to me.

I don't think so many actually saw the heels, but most must have heard them. They do this clicking sound that hard high heels do. Specially at the train stations a lot of people must have heard them, but if they looked at the heels they did probably not raise their eyes to see my beard.

More travels on high levels will follow.

  7. Name:Michael Age: 28 Gender: M Location: Sweden Occupation: Software this and that... Height: 178 cm Weight: 77kg Shoe size: Eur 39-40 What's your favourite heel style: STILLETTOES What's your favourite shoe style: Pumps and boots in leather, all with stillettoe heels of course Do you wear your heels outside: Yes, but so far not in public... What is: (a) Your favourite heel height: 4 inch ( Your highest heel height: 6 inch (with 1.5" platform) How often do you wear: (a) Your favourite heel height: As often as I get a chance ( Your highest heel height: Rarely Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: Stockings or socks, depending on the fit Anything else you wish to add: I love this forum, and I hope I'll soon get the curage to walk in public in my stillettoes. Another reflection... ... there are so many in this topic whom stated stillettoes to be their favourite heel style. I guess you don't mean that you like to wear them, 'cause I've rarely seen any posts here about stillettoes. Most of them are about chunky, wedge or other heels (which I don't like by the way).

  8. To Francis, love your boots. I've thought about buying these also but haven't come around to it yet. Not too afraid to be taken as a male prostitute, I must let you know that I have 4 pairs of thigh high boots in my collection. Heel height 4" and 5", all stilletto. I love the way they grab my legs when wearing them. The only problem I have with thigh highs without zippers is that they take some work to get on and off me. Someday you will see me out in the streets with them. Jo-Jo, do you have a picture of you in your boots?

  9. How I long for the days when woman wore stillettoes a decady ago. Maybe they don't, there were a lot of people who got problems with their feets in those pointed toes, but so far I don't have any problems. Haven't worn them so much to actaully get any problems though. Don't mind the bladeheel so much. I just think it's ugly when the heel starts behind your heel of the foot. Specially after they have been used a while (at least by some people), when they aren't vertical anymore but rather at an angle backwards and looks as they would break any minute.

  10. Nice to see that there are more people here than just me who like stillettoes. As I said before, I haven't dared to wear them in public yet, although the more I read through the posts in this forum I think I'll give it a try soon. I'll let you know, and if possible some pictures also... To those of you who actually have worn them outdoors, have you got any negative comments or any jokers about it? Have you got some pictures with you wearing them? As 'loveheel' wrote; "Stilletos are clearly womens shoes. " This is why I think it's a larger step  to wear this style than there is to wear block heels, which could be taken for menshoes. Even if 4" are a bit high for men, I still like... no, love the design of a nice stilletto heel. Maybe I should have been born woman instead, then I could wear what ever I choose.

  11. Thank you, loveheel. I'm in the same situation, I haven't worn them outside in any crowded place yet, but I will. The ankle boots comes from Ebay and are very nice to wear. The only problem is the laces, the upper part is only with hooks, not holes. So after a while the laces slids of the hooks and 'fall apart'. I dont really agree with that thigh high boots are clumsy to wear. What's the difference between outdoor or indoor wearing? I think that the height actually makes them more stable to wear than a ordinary shoe. But the clumsy part comes when you take them on or off.

  12. Bert:

They're great, Thighighs. I got to get myself a pair too some day but I have to be able to try them on first before I buy and there isn't a single shop in this country that I know of that sells them.

A tip if you want to/can buy over the internet, go to a good search engine (Altavista, Googles...) and search for 'thighhigh boots' or similar in different languages. Also E-Bay (www.ebay.com) has a lot of thigh high boots.

I will not make any advertising for those who sell there, but choose a seller with lot of good feedback. I've bought some of my items from there and were very happy with it.

(For example, my boots above on white background costed 39$ + 19$ in S&H, I've found almost the same in a swedish shop for over 320$. Maybe there is a difference in quality but both were real soft leather, and who cares, I can buy 5 boots from the net for the same price.)

Just remember, you have to pay custom taxes when ordering from out of EU.

    terayon:

Yes, I guess we are so far apart regarding heel styles that we can be. But each is his own individual. I have actually got a pair of boots with wide heels. I don't know the definition of them but this is how they looks like; (And these I've worn a lot in public)

  13. To HighBoots:

I agree, it's the hardest style for a man to wear. But I think that you should wear what you feel comfortable in (even though I myself haven't done it yet...)

Have you got any yourself? Any pictures?

I've actually never seen a male in stillettoes (except for my self) in real life but, why not? I like them... and it doesn't have to be thigh high boots even though I've had problems finding anything else with 4" heels.

Does anyone know a good place in Scandinavia or internetshop in Europe who sell 4" stillettoes?

    Francis:

I have a pair of thigh high boots with a 5.25" stiletto heel.

Have you worn them outdoors anytime? You don't have to scear your neighbourhood just for me, but if you do, tell me what happened.
  14. I thought that maybe I could find someone else on this board that likes (thighhigh) boots with stilletto heels.

First let me just say that I don't mind pumps, ankle or knee high boots at all.

What I do have problems with is shoes with open toes, sandals, slingbacks or wedge heels, big block heels or similar.

I would rather be cought dead than to wear such styles, but that is my own opinion, and I do accept that others like them.

Here are my thigh high boots with 5 inch heels. Haven't worn them in public yet, and probably never will. I like the design so I'll keep them just in case...

And here are my ankle boots with 5 inch heels.

    Posted Image

My lovely 4 inch boots that fits like a glove. These I will wear in public for sure. I have done it a few times, but mostly when it was dark.

My other pair of 4 inch boots...

Wearing heels in public is a little turn on for me, but mainly I love the design, style and the comfort of heels. I feel that heels are much better for my feets than hard men shoes. The only other shoes I really like are sneakers, but that's another story...

I know that there are some here that like high boots with stilletto heels. For example Highluc who had bought some really nice boots with stilletto heels, who's picture I saw somewhere on this board.

Or Trolldeg (Tjaba) who wore a great pair to a party earlier.

I also would like to wear heels to work, but I don't think I'd get much support from my co-workers. We are 20 peoples in my office, more than half of them are 50+, we have 3 ladies who apperently don't know anything about shoes and the rest, hmmm, might work...

Also my girlfriend doesn't know and I dare not tell her 'cause she's like the ladies at my work and she's also very narrow minded.

I guess I'll only be wearing heels when I'm alone, in the future as well.

  15. Bert from 2002-05-04:

GREAT pairs you got!! What size are you? And in which part of Sverige are residing?

    Thank you Bert.

I have size 39-41 (European). 39 are more for some of the sneakers but in high heels I have 40-41 (or rather 8.5 US - 9 US since that is the marked size of the shoes).

I live in the vicinity of Stockholm, that's how close you'll get right now...

I really don't care much about hockey either but tonight we do have a game and I bet you that we will win.

    VM-guld...VM-guld...VM-guld

(Hardly likely but hope is all I've got)

    Texboots from 2002-05-04:

Thighhighs...really nice collection. I especially like your emphasis on black thigh high boots.

Thank you too, and you are very welcome over to us. I agree with you that we hear very little from Norway. I know that the Buffalo-boots (the platauesneakers) are very strong there so there might not be room for any heels in theire closets!?.

By the way, I've actually bought most of my stilletto high heels from the States. Both from E-bay and other sources. They are much cheaper that way. As an example; my thigh highs with 5" heel costs around 300$ in a store in Sweden. I paid a total of 50$ (including Airfreight, plus customs charge) from USA.

It's also very hard to get hold of some nice heels in a regular store, at least over here. I don't like the fashion of today with blade heels extremly pointed toes.

  16. Agree with everyone else here, great collection Bert.

Here are my last purchase. They're really a joy to walk in.

  17. I've always liked the stilletto style.

My personal favourites are these thigh high boots with 4" heel.

    Posted Image

What do you think of them?

I've been wearing them outdoors, but so far only when it was dark and I had pants over them. Still, the heels were showing but not the full height.

  18. Personally I usually wear pants over my boots. I have actually no problem with them sliding down, but I guess it's easier to keep them up if you have the pants on top of the boots and not inside the boots. I do have a pair of pants that are very tight to my leg, but since one pair of my 4" boots are of thick leather (they can stand for themself almost) they make a perfect couple. I also got a pair that is very soft. Since I wear them under my pants, I use a hard rubberband above the knee to keep them up. It works fine for me. ... and now back to... what do I wear to my thigh high boots? Since I'm male I think I'll stick to pants. They should be outside the boots, otherwise I'd look tarty (is there a male version of this word?). I've worn thigh high boots with short pants once, but that was when it was dark outside and just for fun.

  19. Hello there.

I've been wearing heels for a long time. Mostly 2-3" in different styles, but lately I've bought some really nice thigh high boots with STILETTO HEELS. It took me some time to dare to wear them in public. I started with long pants that hide all of the heels. The only thing revealing the heels were the sound of the hard heels against the pavement. After a while I shortened the pants the show more and more and today I wear them like THIS.
