  1. An interesting topic. In the beginning, I was all about the higher heels (three inches and over), they used to be almost all I wore on my outings. However, of late, I've come to appreciate lower heights (three inches and below), following in the footsteps of women who don't wear sky high stilettos all the time and prefer flats instead. But, that's just me, everyone here should wear and enjoy the heel height of their choice.

I cut down a diseased black walnut tree, about a 14" trunk two weeks. No problem but then i got carried away and went nuts on an overgrown siding. Then two days later my reward was this.

Both legs, both arms and my belly.  Kinda put a stop to heeling for now. Anyway finally past the itching stage. Last week i really could have put a bullet in my brain, just kidding guys, but it would have been a relief.

  3. Well, the Philadelphia area came out of lockdown on a somewhat limited basis this past Friday, meaning retail stores could reopen. I wandered downtown on Saturday (non-jaunt) to see what was what, however, because of the riots here last weekend, practically nothing was open and EVERY storefront was boarded up. My god, I had never seen so much plywood in any one area in all my life. Bottom line, jaunting downtown looks to be a nonstarter for awhile. That leaves the malls I frequent, I'll travel to King of Prussia this coming weekend and see what's up there.

Thanks Jeff, hope you stay safe too.  So sad to see the burning of center city Philly.  My heart truly goes out to all who suffered needless injuries, small business owners who watched their property get destroyed without justice.  And to think just last week the world was debating whether it's safe to get a cup of coffee in public.  How quickly things accelerate....

It's been a mess. Sunday saw more rioting and looting, this time in minority neighborhoods, most notably, a shopping corridor only a mile east of where I live. The city's been on curfew six six p.m. yesterday, all businesses and mass transit was shut down, and the National Guard was called in. I was too young to remember the riots in the mid to late 60's, but this has the same nightmarish feel. I hope things will be calmer today.

  5. I suspect that NYC opening back up probably took a major league hit after yesterday's madness. The Philadelphia region was scheduled to come out of lockdown on June 5th, but downtown literally went to hell last night, so who knows what might happen in terms of new cases spiking. Stay safe!

Oh, my! I'd go with the Mork! Can't imagine you looking like Barry Gibb circa 1978 (top row left), ditto with a mullet or whatever the heck the one next to that is!  :giggle:

Thanks Bubba. I like these Charles by Charles David wedges. Have many of them, 3 + years old, but some have de-laminated.  They just do't make heels like these any more

Two women outside the post office gave me the old "How can you walk in those heels?"  I laughed. I talked to them when I came out.

Sharp shoes there! I always find it amusing when women ask how guys like us can walk in heels, as if it's some sort of magic we whipped up!  :giggle:

Same as with the US Vice President visiting the Mayo Clinic and resuming to wear a mask although it was supposedly mandatory for all visitor to the medical complex to wear one. He was the only person in the entire party who didn't - yet nobody spoke up.

That pissed me off royally. I blame the people at Mayo who kowtowed to Pence instead enforcing the rules and making him wear a mask, to hell with his position as Vice President.

Bottom line, we can all thank communist red china for the terror, lies and misery they have inflicted upon us.  communism is BAD for children and other living things....   sf

And I'm sure the world thanked the U.S. for the 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak which killed millions and, despite it's name, originated in Kansas. I don't care about finger pointing, we all know what happened, where it happened and how it happened, instead, the focus should be on finding a vaccine for this virus.

So in a Post COVID world with temperature checking stations, sinks next to every entrance, buttonless elevators, I wonder if someone is going to create copper coatings for the bottoms of shoes?  Like Louboutin's RED, copper would be the detail.

"On copper, no viable SARS-CoV-2 was measured after 4 hours"

    Retail copper distributor here: https://coppercoater.com/

Probably not something you'll see discussed over Business Lunch at the local steakhouse anytime soon.

I would agree with that assessment.

  11. Because of the coronavirus outbreak, life as we know it, both in the States and around the world has basically ground to a halt. Practically every major and minor sports league has shut down, colleges told students to get out of dodge yesterday while the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommended no public gatherings of more than 50. To that end, only essential places like supermarkets, drug stores and grocery stores are allowed to remain open, no bars, no restaurants, no multiplexes, no malls, pretty much NOTHING. To that end, it looks like I won't be going on any outings for the foreseeable future as all my regular haunts are closed. I understand the need for all the precautions, it's just not worth the trouble to go out and about right now, better to be safe than sorry. With that in mind, how will you weather this storm?

  12. To add my two cents worth (inflation factored in), I’d say that it’s understandable that you expressed confusion over how quickly you went from just a guy who wore heels to a guy in a skirt and heels. For those of us here, myself included, that evolution occurred over the course of several moths, perhaps even years, it all depends on the individual and their own mindset about how much to wear in terms of women’s clothing.

I’ve been wearing skirts with heels full time on my outings since 2014 and I’ve never looked back because I love how I look in womenswear, I’ve also added dresses to the equation as I look smashing in them, and that’s the important thing, that you feel supremely confident in your appearance and that it’s no big deal for a guy to wear skirts and heels in public....because it’s not. As long as you feel confident about yourself, then the sky is the limit. Since you’re just beginning your journey as a fashion freestyler, I would suggest that you take things slow, there’s no need to rush into things when it comes to outings and such. Also, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to study up on fashion, to learn what women wear, why they wear it, how they wear it and take it from there.

I was cutting open a box with a utility knife. It was an old & beat up knife I just should have thrown out long ago. It jammed up when I tried to retract it & I tried to force it. I failed. It cost me a trip to the emergency room & 7 stitches, but the nurses did compliment me on my nails!

Well, I certainly hope you DID replace that knife!

It was themed so they wanted everyone out of their comfort zone as far as gender and sexuality etc, perfect!! No there were a couple of others although I doubt they were regular dressers I’d say, don’t get me wrong it wasn’t a walk in the park in those, well it kinda was haha, a few drinks made it interested when going out to smoke like when I took this, I have a few more :)

Sounds like an interesting, and entertaining time. Good for you!
