  1. Gige- Your progress is amazing, took me so many years to accomplish what you have in months. And, your outfits are great as well. O'Hare is like a second home to me also.
  2. Great advice. It is so important to be able to handle whatever style heels you are wearing confidently. Stumbling around, being unsteady, will draw unwanted attention for sure. We think the whole world is watching, but they aren't, too busy with their own lives. Nonetheless, being nervous about the public environment, sometimes leads us to "overthink" our heeling abilities. In other words, heels that we can handle well at home might be more of a struggle in public because our minds are playing games with us. Heading out with a gal/guy pal while healing helps ease the nervousness as well. And you can do it also buddy! Don't expect miracles the first time out. Wear you boots out at night, perhaps to fuel up your car or take a walk in a park. It does easier, quickly.
  3. I have a great pair of knee high Zodiac boots that I purchased used a few years ago with this same issue. I can definitely feel the heel flexing and am afraid/timid when I wear the boots because I don't want to kill the heels, and admittedly don't really want to be caught in public hobbling around on busted heel (again). To add to your point, I would say that just because shoes/heels/boots might be from a well known designer surely is no guarantee of quality materials and craftsmanship...
  4. I'm not afraid to admit it, I love watching mindless TV shows like "Vanderpump Rules". Yeah, I know, it's phony stuff staged for ratings, but I watch this stuff just the same... I have always admired "Tom Sandoval", he takes great pride in his appearance, and always puts pleny of effort into all his outfits. I'm not crazy about Tom's drag outfit, he has done better, but he is killing it in those ankle boots! vanderpump rules tom in drag boots - Google Search
