  1. I am somewhere in between; I voted masculine: guy in heels. My main interest is wearing the stiletto heeled pump (yes it is feminine). This week I shaved my legs to see how it feels and looks..well it feels great. In future I do not rule out a skirt, dress, underwear and possibly some make-up. It is not my goal to present myself as a female, but to explore the feelings in wearing these items.

This is exactly where I am at with it although I've not tried shaving my legs yet! That somehow feels like losing a bit of my masculinity...

  2. I used to get that but I have gotten very bored of feeling like that about something which gives me pleasure so I decided to face up to it and stop fighting it. I've started talking to certain close friends about it and I no longer feel any shame or guilt about it. It's quite a relief actually and I recommend it to anyone who feels shame or guilt about wearing heels. It takes some balls to approach it with anyone for the first time and you need to choose the right person but you just know who to tell and who not to tell and those are the people closest to you who you know will take you for who you are.

  3. Almost seems like and odd question to me but I can see how someone who hasn't come to turns with it and hasn't the confidence to just be what they are would want to not have that thing pecking their head. I have been through periods when I wished I didn't have such an attraction to them because I was so embarrased by it and dreaded the thought of anyone seeing me in heels or even knowing that I liked to wear them (..the amount of shoes I've owned that got binned off because I couldn't cope with it and wanted them out of my life but always end up buying some more a few weeks later..). I'm still not confident enough to go out in heels but I've been talking to friends and just TALKING about it brings me such relief. So far, both of the 2 friends I have been talking about it to the most (both female) have said really nice things about the shoes I have and shoes I want - even to the point of saying they are jealous. So things are looking up. And finding this place has also helped enormously! It's so nice being able to share these experiences and knowing you're not the only one.

  4. These polls are great and I'm always surprised by the results! all the time but not in public and all the time are neck and neck and way out in front of all the others. Awesome! Mind you, some of those who voted will be woman who are less likely to vote all the time but not in public...

  5. For you chaps across the pond, do they have the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" events over there? It is a charity event in the US promoting anti-violence against women (and men too I would imagine). During the event, men wear high heels and walk for some distance. I have participated in two of these events, it is a good way to get out in heels comfortably (especially good for newbies), and at the same time promote a good cause and have some fun!!! sf

I haven't heard of them but I'm gonna do a search online RIGHT NOW!!

Heeled, do you have any more info on said event??

  6. Actually, you know what? It seems the best place for this type of stuff would be in a blog. I've never blogged before but now seems like a good time to start! So if you want to read more on the subject of me venturing out into the big wide world in heels, then have a look there and feel free to leave comments. All encouragement would be gratefully received and I'm still interested to hear of any similar experiences. Oh, and I've uploaded my first album with some shots of my current collection of heels..

  7. This week I have started to venture outside in women shoes. Firstly, in a pair of flat ballerinas - just out to the van and putting rubbish out etc.. Today I went to the park with a pair of my favourite heels and put them on in a far quiet corner but only for a few minutes and avoiding people like the plague. It was so nice to do it and not be totally wasted! Anyway, I intend to do it some more and if it's ok, I'd like to document it here in this thread because I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had any similar experiences. I am also going to get an album together of photos of my shoes.

  8. Well, gee... Let's see...

    I have a pair of women's jeans. They fit better than men's jeans when I'm below 175, but as I'm currently well above 200, they're a no-go.

I wear a Timex Triathelon watch that's made for a woman. When people ask me why I wear "such a small watch," I tell them "it saves weight, and I don't have to worry about it getting caught on things."

None of the earrings I wear are made for men. All were made for women. I simply found some earrings made for women that look good on me as a man. :silly: I've got lots of dangles (I prefer them) although I've worn very few in public. I have worn dangles in public, though.

I own and wear several women's bracelets and necklaces in public. Again, it's usually a matter of style and choice. I won't wear a dainty 16" necklace, as it would look like I was being strangled by spidersilk. But I've a terrific three-tiered snake-chain necklace that looks as good on me with a split-neck sweater as it does on any woman.

Dude, sounds like you've got it nailed. As i said earlier, I've just started buying womens clothes (been buying heels for years although I don't wear in public) and purely by accident I've bought clothes and shoes that I think actually look good on me. These include a pair of jeans (they fit really well and are very comfortable), a blue cord knee length skirt and this red loose, almost baggy, top with elbow length sleeves and a long open neck that doesn't droop too low. Very casual and looks really good on me. AND I look good in all the shoes I currently own which consist mostly 4" stilettoes but I also have flat ballerinas and kitten heels. pointy toes, almond toes round toes, open toes.....

I feel like I'm starting to ramble on so I'm going to shut up now.

  9. I don't care for them. But as you could see by many of the comments, a lot of people like them. "A cada um o que 'e seu." (To each their own).

I agree.. not to my taste at all but alot of people obviously do like them.. like how all the fellas on this site like wearing heels but there are alot of folk who think it looks plain stupid... each to their own.
