Nordstroms Rack proved much better. thanks Arctic for the suggestion! SpikesMike picked up a good deal on a nice pair. And lots of attention from a group of women/girls outside of Nordstroms; lots of pictures and they loved our heels and Boots. Lots of Facebook posts we're sure! Now back at the hotel ready for Tillman's tonight. Will see if we got any pics today from the street heeling walks. There were 6 of us street heeling, iloveboots, hoverfly, spikesmike, booted, crotchiboots and goldwings (from Boston) joined us. Goldwings JG Boots were definitely attention getters! David

Hi Bern, We were a total of 10. We stayed the evening at Club Blu in the Indigo Hotel, had fun there. the 10 of us had fun, the main thing! Not a big turnout considering the projected numbers from the "yes" responses. It was fabulous to meet Arctic for the first time; great to see CrotchhiBoots again; terrific weekend with SpikesMike and Booted at the Colonial House Inn; awesome to reconnect with Hoverfly; and a few newcomers to our group Franny, Jeanette and Forsythia. Today we are "shoe shopping" over to Macys and DSW; may head to Norstroms (good suggestion from Arctic), street heeling pic opportunity! Then tonight at 7pm we are Tillmans at 165 W 26th St. Definitely recommend "Club Blu" in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo (127 W 28th St), Kneehighs. The staff are "high heel friendly" in a big way! Atmsophere is nice and the food tremendous. The owner is Micahel Oldman, and the head waiter is Viktor. The Sea Bass was incredible (3 people had it) and the Tuna Teryaki was absolutely incredible. Great to hear you are on the mend Bern. Hope tonight we are a few more than 10, but whatever the number, we are having a good time! we are ready to go "street heeling" tonight!

In New York now with SpikesMike and Booted. Hoverfly arrives by train tomorrow. We have visited the two 7pm venues. Here is the update. 7pm Friday - we are still at the Hotel Indigo but the top floor restaurant/lounge has closed. We are now in Cafe Blu which is on the lobby level to the right. Same address etc. The owner of Cafe Blu is excited to really make this a wonderful evening for us all. In fact we met on eof the servers and she can't wait to wear her stiletto heel thigh Boots to work tomorrow and look after us! The bartender is one of the best in the city, she is well known! And, looks forward to gib=ving us all a great time 1pm Saturday - whether it rains or not we will meet at the Colonial House Inn as noted. If it is not raining we will go with the route as shown. If it is raining we will cab it over to Macy's and meet anyone who goes directly to macy's to meet in the womens shoe section. 7pm Saturday - confirmed everything with Jay at Tillman's. Really cool intimate restaurant/lounge; 70's R & B theme, awesome music! And Michael from paddles has confirmed both nights at the club.. We're alls et. David

3rd Annual North America Heel/Boot Meet - March 2 & 3, 2012

The 3rd Annual North America Heel/Boot Meet is in New York City! The last two North America meets were in Chicago in 2009 and Las Vegas in 2011. We heard from many members that New York City would be a great place for a meet and that many many more members would attend if it was in the City. Well we are pleased to announce, the 3rd Annual NA Heel/Boot Meet is scheduled for two nights, March 2 & 3, 2012 in NYC.

What is a Heel/Boot meet you ask? it is an opportunity to be out and about dressed for pleasure, in your highest heels and/or Boots. We meet first in a social public restaurant setting on both Friday and Saturday nights then the remainder of the evening is what you want to make it; we will have some club events for those who want to kick those big bad ass heels up. There will also be some day events on the Saturday for those who want to participate.

To begin the planning we first need an idea of how many members will be attending, please indicate if you are a yes or maybe in the meet poll

HEEL/BOOT SHOPPING & WALK TOUR: 1pm to 4pm Meet in front/lobby at 1pm of the COLONIAL HOUSE INN, 318 West 22nd Street. Shoe/Boot Afternoon walk/shop; 5th Avenue Shoe/Boot Boutique walk; stop along the way for coffee/tea/snack. Taking into account teetering on stiletto's etc we have reduced the walk tour distances to be fair to everyone From the Colonial the first stop will be Macy's at 151 34th St, about 20 minutes; then to the Sky Room at Times Square, 330 W 40th St, about 15 minutes; then back to the Colonial House Inn, about 25 minutes. Along the route we will stop in any shoe stores the group wants to. Be in your heels/Boots for a fun out and about in the City walk tour! The Sky Room at Times Square: Sky Room, which boasts 360 degree views of Manhattan and the Hudson River from the city's highest rooftop lounge, takes New York City nightlife to the next level. Note, one change in plans. Instead of limo's to the club and back we will be "sharing taxi's". The quote for a 20-22 person limo van was $400. Taxi's will run about $2 to $3 per person each way with 5 to 6 per taxi. David

The Meet will be very "numbers specific" as we have space booked at Moxie's as well as Limousine ride to the after meet club. Will post another update for the Tampa Heel/Boot meet this weekend. The venue at Columbia Restaurant has come together nicely and we have a private room set up for the meet. So far we have 28 people now indicating they will be coming, 15 of these are showing as 'definite". If you are considering joining the Tampa Meet on March 10 please add your name to the poll and also add a note here on the thread or PM me so we don't miss you. the private room at Columbia has limited space and we're also under contract on the number attending so it is important we have an accurate count on who is coming out. If you're in the Tampa/Central Florida area, come and heel with us! It will prove to be a blast! Great location in Tampa in Ybor City and the club after the Columbia Restaurant meet is awesome! Will post one more update here this coming weekend. We have had a few changes, a few folks unable to make the meet now that schedules firm up and a few more new folks joining the meet. We're still around the 140 number in total of which about 55 are showing as "definite". The venues are all confirmed and secure. Just finalizing the "shoe/boot walking tour" route for Saturday; won't be too much walking but we'll hit a few large shoe stores (if anyone is in the mindset of buying or looking) and we'll also hit a cool venue for an afternoon toddy or coffee/tea. Getting exciting as we're less than 10 days away. If you are thinking of maybe joining the meet for one or both days let me know by not just posting on the poll but also by a note here int he thread or by PM so I don't miss you. Great time by everyone at the Ottawa Valentine's Heel/Boot Meet on Saturday, Feb 11 in Ottawa, Canada. There were 25 people registered (9 definite and 16 maybe). The total turnout was 9, the largest Ottawa Heel/Boot Meet turnout so far. New meet participants LadyLiz, cathieladivine, nadine666, harddrive and sophieg joined previous meet participants iloveboots, robyn, kim and snowflake256. Great heels everyone! The Imperial Bistro turned out to be the perfect little venue and the after social meet at robyn's location at Wanda's was a lot of fun. Yup, the heads were turning on Bank Street in Ottawa as the group moved from the bistro to robyn's! David

3rd Annual North America Heel/Boot Meet - March 2 & 3, 2012

The 3rd Annual North America Heel/Boot Meet is in New York City! The last two North America meets were in Chicago in 2009 and Las Vegas in 2011. We heard from many members that New York City would be a great place for a meet and that many many more members would attend if it was in the City. Well we are pleased to announce, the 3rd Annual NA Heel/Boot Meet is scheduled for two nights, March 2 & 3, 2012 in NYC.

What is a Heel/Boot meet you ask? it is an opportunity to be out and about dressed for pleasure, in your highest heels and/or Boots. We meet first in a social public restaurant setting on both Friday and Saturday nights then the remainder of the evening is what you want to make it; we will have some club events for those who want to kick those big bad ass heels up. There will also be some day events on the Saturday for those who want to participate.

To begin the planning we first need an idea of how many members will be attending, please indicate if you are a yes or maybe in the meet poll

Hey TBG.....apparently you are appearing at Lolla's place(highheelspassion.com website) or that person resembles you somewhat.......anyway.....THANKS for all of your posts,opinions, and pictures of you wearing boots and other attire.......the only way I could wear boots (or heels) out in public here is either under pants that were wide in the leg and came to the floor or if I participated in a Susan Komen breast cancer mile run(walk,trot,or whatever) as the town that I live in is full of inbred,cattle screwing,drunk rednecks and prefer not to put up with their stupidity and ignorance......so.....I will continue wearing boots and other attire in the pricvacy of my home or on road trips that are a few hours out of town.........THANKS AGAIN!!!!! and keep up the good work!!!!!!!
