Update from last nights Tampa Heel/Boot meet from ecchapin (Erik) the Meet leader...... The meet itself went very well. We had a total of 19 people (awesome and thank you everyone who attended). The room was incredible. All tile and very private. I had something unfortunate happen as I was heading off to the meet. I left a bit early (5:30p) so I could make sure everything was in place at Columbia. I encountered an accident which clogged up the causeway from Clearwater to Tampa. I was stuck in traffic for about and hour and 45 minutes, and didn't get in until 7:30pm. Tracie (Allthewayin) and I arrived at the same time. Kimmie (who was already there) was nice enough to let everyone know I would be late (Thank you Kimmie hugs). My camera was malfunctioning, so we didn't get a lot of pictures. Tracie did get some face pictures of the group on her camera phone, and we got a picture of a nice gentleman in the most awesome high heeled purple platform boots. He was a real trooper, had those on for most of the evening.
About half of us decided to walk over to the Honey Pot/Fetish Circuit, while half drove over. Fetish Circuit was busy, and had a very good turn out. Lots of high heel booted people, and we even had a fair crowd from the other club from downstairs come up. It was a good time, met some new people, and I look forward to doing this again next year. The service at Columbia was impeccable, and the food/drinks were excellent.
We toasted once to boots and high heels, as well as those who could not make it. All in all a fun night, minus the camera not working and the traffic.... I did explain to the group that you had to leave suddenly because of important things at home.
Thank you so much for everything and bringing us all together. I wish you could've been there.

exactly, the $100 is split over everyone on their bill. ie 20 people and it is $5 each. Just got off the phone with 8 people who were maybe's and now 6 are definites. Looks like we will be around 20 definites with another 21 who are maybe that could bounce the number a bit higher. David

Not going to organize anything special ie, a meet etc. However Carl and Kitty (vanyyz here) and I will be meeting at the Firkin & ChurchMouse Pub at Church & Maitland in Toronto at 7pm on Wednesday, March 21 for a beer or two; all three of us in high heel Jean Gaborit thigh Boots. Sorry if I am late to chime in, but I had a lot of stuff to deal with in the past week.
I was actually only there for a few hours as a day trip last Saturday before heading back to Boston with hoverfly.
That said, my JG boots were not really true red and silver but rather wine red (bordeaux/claret/burgundy) and silver. And they were literally attention getters (and are the very colors of a magnet), considering that I did pair them with white riding pants.
Also as for the subway, on that day, we took the N between 34th and 14th.
A very good day, even tho I did expect a few more people.

Yes, NYC was a great choice of location. We had twelve join the Meet over the course of the two days at various stages. At any one time the largest the group got to was 9 on the Friday night at Club Blu in the Indigo Hotel; lots of fun and the open atmosphere of a restaurant/lounge was terrific; able to talk and the staff were very very accommodating. A group of ladies in Club Blu joined us for the last 1/2 hour to chat about heels, boots and photo taking; great fun! The Saturday afternoon walk/shop tour was six of us and we had a great time; walking up 7th from the hotel to Macy's, then the subway down to Union Sq to Nordstrom Rack. The attention in Nordstroms and then outside was lots of fun; a group of 20 year old ballet dancers with their moms and grandma was priceless. They all had their pics taken with us; lots of laughs; and lots of comments of how much they loved the heels and confidence of a group of men like us. While this was going on a couple of other groups of ladies joined in for pics and chatting. then it was off to the Starbuck's at Union Sq and walk back up 7th to the hotel. Saturday evening at Tillman's was terrific with six of us there. The walk over, down 7th was fun, SpikesMike's spurs getting lots of attention! At Tillmans we enjoyed a fun evening; the music was 70's classic R&B not too loud and we were able to have great conversation and laughs. The staff were awesome and accommodating, all the servers wearing Boots as they knew we were joining them that night. After Tillman's a few from the group ventured to Paddles; others of us (me included) were whacked out from two very busy days and headed back to the hotel to share stories in the hotel lobby. And lastly, the Colonial House Inn was a tremendous choice of hotel; convenient; good value; great staff who enjoyed our heels, especially Lilia who had to constantly come from behind her desk to check out the heels; recommend to anyone heading to NYC for a day or night of heeling. So all in all...a great time! Now, where shall we hold the 4th Annual North America Heel/Boot meet?? We've been to Chicago, Las Vegas and New York City. New Orleans during Mardi Gras (cost could be the issue)?? San Francisco?? We're in Tampa tonight so we'll see how well a Florida meet goes over. Stay tuned.... David

All I can say about picture 3 is "Oh My". and am I the only one who sees this.

Absolutely agree with all the points from Dr Shoe and Kneehighs (fellow heel meet organizers). Lots of effort goes into coordinating and promoting the Meet. As Kneehighs said, personal messaging; posting meet information and updating; venue organizing. And also as Dr Shoe says, "don't put money down/deposits". Arranging venues makes this difficult as so many want deposits and contracts but experience tells us; find the venue willing to assume the risk, don't build the expectation too high to the venue and find a venue that is interesting. But the main goal is to provide an opportunity for those who truly want to attend; to meet and socialize with old friends and new friends. The number of who is attending and who ends up attending is irrelevant. The main measurement is "did those who end up attending have a rewarding good time". With the recent NYC meet the answer from the twelve people who attended would be "yes" from the feedback we received. For each and everyone of those twelve people comes the reason we continue to provide the meets; memories and stories. David

Yup, we took the D Train subway between 34th and 14th; then walked back tot he Colonial.
Isn't Nordstrom south of the Colonial at 14th Street, while Macy's is north on 34th Street? Did you walk to both? (If you did, wasn't that a lot of walking and were the feet aching???)
Just heard that DSW is opening a new store in NYC. That will give Nordstrom and Macys some competition.

There is a "clothing optional" Heel/Boot Meet at the Caliente Resort in Land o Lakes on Thursday night, March 8 at 6pm. There are 12 poeple signed up right now. David

and, if any members had been with the twelve of us who just enjoyed the NYC Heel/Boot Meet you would have seen first hand the acceptance and support from women & men for our enjoyment of wearing heels. SpikesMike, Hoverfly, CrotchhiBoots, Goldwings, Booted and I certainly felt support while standing outside Nordstroms Rack Store at Union Sq in NY on Saturday. At Club Blu on friday night, the ladies who came over to the group of us to discuss heels and how they enjoyed seeing us in our heels, were certainly supportive.
The NYC Meet was a great example of confident men out in heels as a group breaking down the barriers and having fun doing what we enjoy!
Do girls like guys in heels? I think that's the wrong question.
Can girls like guys who also wear heels? That's DEFINITELY the valid question.
Now that my attraction skills have improved, I'm surprised how many girls I can pull in, regardless of my heels. It's not a question of do they like guys in heels, but can they like guys regardless of their heels?
Tonight I had a cab driver in Paris stop the car and threaten to kick me and my "model" (read 5'10" who said she thought my heels were cool) out of the car because we were being too sexual for his cab! I couldn't believe it. She asked him if he was jealous.
As an off note, I saw some guy today in Paris wearing shorts and tights and open toe sandal heels with a moderate cone heel. He garnered one wolf whistle. I can't honestly say that he looked fashionable, but I also can't say that anyone really cared either what he was wearing. This goes back to people care more about what's going on in between their own ears than they do their outer world. In other words, among the people I was with, his attire didn't create any room for additional conversation. His appearance was noted and immediately discarded.
Again, for those guys who are single, wearing heels DOES NOT hurt your chances with girls. In fact, the initial intrigue pumps up their buying temperature temporarily and if you know how to channel that increased state in the girl, it really works in your favor. That goes for pumps as well as boots. It also seems that the magic words, "I'm not looking for a relationship" just serve to increase their desire for a relationship with me.
Sigh...I think time to settle down will be coming soon. Time to bulid a future with one girl....

Ok, another one is in the can!
It was good to get to see and hear the people who make up our sandbox in cyberspace.
When I was waiting for my car on the way home, I realized that there are not many interests that cover all of the western world, cut through all demographics, and span a large age range - we had people in their twenties and in their seventies participating.
However, heels seem to keep you young, as the most senior person would easily pass for someone a decade or two less seasoned.

This evening at Tillmans was fun. Spikesmike, crotchiboots, iloveboots, booted, hhboots4me and a new friend and HHPlace member Thomas from austria. Crotchhiboots got some pics as we were waiting to enter Tillmans at 7pm and will post when he is back home. Thank you everyone who attended. Over the course of the 2 days we had 12 members participate. All 12 of us had fun! Lots of laughs. Lots of memories. and new friendships! All the ingredients for a fun successful heelmeet! Next meet is Tampa, Florida on Saturday, March 10! Lets hope we also discover those same incredible ingredients to a successful meet. i am sure we will! Thank you everyone. Now, time for the photos!
