Good energy beginning to happen with the meet! Cool! For those who can only make Friday, we will have a full meet set up for Friday as there are many who can only make the one day including myself as I have to be on a flight Saturday. Don't worry, the Saturday meet details are all looked after and confirmed. Yes, definitely spouses are welcome, in fact encouraged! This is first a foremost a social get together for HHPlace members to meet and say hi to all the folks you conenct with during the year on line; ie put a real person together witht he handle name you have corresponded with all year and also enjoy wearing our heels together in a safe environment. just a quick update everyone. Have not forgotten the meet. In fact working on many aspects the past few weeks. Mind you, many of the contacts I am working with are rather preoccuppied right now with some major event going on??? LOL! Absolutely was blown away by the opening ceremonies. Right now, Saturday pub day for the Meet is all confirmed. Have a couple of hotels I am working on that offer apartment type room accommodations for multi member use. And, also lining up the Friday day & night schedule. Will check back in again soon with more update info. Spread the word to all your HHPlace friends to set aside Nov 30 & Dec 1 in their calendars now. And, also indicate in the poll if they are for sure or maybe. Cheers, David

Announcing The hhplace.org 10th Anniversary World Heel Meet

FYI Everyone......thought I would share some correspondence between LiveandLearn and I as it may answer some members questions on the two days, ie what is planned for Friday?

Friday will have a full day starting around 11:30am of meet events, starting with lunch. We will locate a lunch spot near Camden Market as the afternoon will include a "heeled shopping spree" of Camden till about 4pm. Then we will all re-group for dinner around 7pm. I am looking at a few spots now that are "Greenwich" area spots as we'll list a few club opportunities for that evening as well in the area.

So, hold on to your hat, we will have lots of friday Meet fun as well!

Yup, thats what James (new Manager) and I chatted about. They host a Christmas Bazaar now during the day every saturday leading up to Christmas, from 10am to 4pm. We are now looking at 'The Horse" Pub for saturday, Dec 1 during the day under the same terms we had with Jamie at the Miller. Have also asked James (The Miller) to look at something we may be able to do on Friday, Nov 30. David

Working on the club/pub for the meet. Jamie has left the Miller and Saturday, Dec 1 is already booked. Have a lead on another Pub, the River. Also, would most people be available for the friday afternoon, Nov 30?

Hi Kneehighs. No, made an error with the "Boot Meet" note. This is strictly a High Heel Place Meet. I will let the Boot meet folks know about the meet but this is intended to be our 10th Anniversary HHPLace Meet. David

Great response so far Sorry for lack of updates/feedback the past week or so. The computer adsl modem dies and have just received a new vdsl one from our provider. Flights are booked. Have been in touch witht he apartment hotel folks in London and will have accommodation information shortly. Will begin to canvas past attendees one on one over the next few weeks. Getting psyched! Will send a note this weekend to our previous London organizing team and get the ball rolling on the Miller; Hotels; previous attendee notes; and we'll set up a tentative agenda of events. It is six months away but as you know, that six months will fly by quickly and as we have many folks planning to attend from far flung locations, pre-planning is absolutely necessary. Looked at airfares today and there are some good prices available now, booking early. David

Would appear that the Stars are Aligning! Should we go ahead and declare this our 10th Anniversary Worldwide Heel Meet and go for it! Using the formula we used in previous London meets, a lunch, afternoon shopping or event and dinner for Friday night. A Saturday day event, possibly same pub we used before near the bridge with excursions for those who desire; dinner; and an evening set of events that people can pick and choose from depending on taste. The group included mostly FL residents but members came from Jacksonville (hiheellover23); Orlando (Jude), with the bulk of participants from the Tampa area. Out of state was 1.

How many people traveled from outside of Florida? I live 20 minutes from Ybor but couldn't make it this time. Planning for a wedding has me pretty busy.
