  1. Just as fish need water to survive, heelers must have heels to survive and thrive.

That pov seems a little obsessive to me. I'm glad I don't share it.

Personally, now that I've developed the courage to heels in public, I'm a lot more inclined to do so, and I have a lot of fun when I do. On the other hand, there are days when I'm just not in the mood to elevate my feet. On those days, I really enjoy the comfort of my sneakers and my Dingo Slouch Boots.

  2. I have often said guys should study the styles of footwear women wear and when they do, and take the cue from them.

If I did that, I'd stop wearing heels altogether. Where I live, women in heels are about as common a sight as the Pope. In fact, every time I go out, I feel like I'm picking up their slack.

  3. I jumped head-first into street-heeling. No secret walks at night. No "testing the waters" in 1" flats. I went to Payless in broad daylight on a Saturday, tried on a pair of 4" stiletto ankle boots in the store, bought them, and then did some shopping at two different grocery stores with an extra stop at a local convenience store before returning home.

You can read all about my first experiences here. You'll also find pics attached to a few of my posts on pages 2, 3, and 6 of that thread.

  4. I just made an interesting observation a little bit ago... Men's regular-fit, straight-leg jeans look really awkward with a pair of 4" stiletto ankle boots when viewed from the front. I look like I'm wearing a pair of those uniform pants from the original Star Trek series, where the pant legs stuck out over the top of their boots when tucked in, only I don't tuck my jeans in. My jeans create the illusion of that look just by how far above the boots the pant cuffs stop. I've attached a pic I just took to demonstrate. The white spots are smudges on the mirror. So, yeah... definitely need to buy a pair of bootcut jeans to wear with my boots...

  5. I only wear boots in public, but for sandals around the house, I much prefer the most classically feminine looking (my wife likes to call them "cutesy") shoes I can find. A week ago, I began looking for a new pair of ankle-strap sandals with a bow on an open toe (I love bows!). As luck would have it, I found these, and my heart skipped a beat. I have never seen a more beautifully sexy looking pair of sandals in my life! Even better, Amazon.com had them in my size (10m) for just $35! I ordered a pair in Black last night, using their Super Saver shipping option, and should have them in a couple of weeks.

    WOOT!!!

  6. Kneehighs has quite a reputation with the ladies, but the last couple of stories has me wondering.

Unfortunately, it appears to be what happens when guys like him make too much of a fuss over the fact that they're wearing heels in public.

I love wearing my stiletto ankle boots, but I don't make a point of trying to get others to notice them, even through the use of mind games or "modelng" exercises. I think my heels look and feel fantastic, but I treat them just like another pair of shoes I chose to wear instead of my regular shoes. If I get feedback on them, fine. If not, who cares?

  7. Several years ago, I threw out a pair of black patent knotted peep-toe slingbacks I bought from SexyShoe.com. Tonight, I decided to replace them with a similar style, and found these:

They're even sexier than my old slingbacks! I just ordered the last pair of 10m from overstock.com for $30. I linked to 6pm.com because that store offers multiple views. They're my first pair of Nine West, and I can't wait to try them on.

  8. NAIR!

I bought a bottle of the Showe Power lotion and used it for the first time tonight. This stuff is AWESOME!!! Completely dissolved all of the hair on both of my legs in a fraction of the time it used to take me to shave! No more razors for me, thank you, very much!

I'm going try their face cream tomorrow. I went to the store to pick up a new pack of blades for my Gilette Mach 3, and the smallest pack they had were 5 blades for $13! Screw that! I can buy a bottle of Nair Face Cream for $6 and not have to shave for days! I just hope it's strong enough. I know my wife would love a really smooth face on me. ;)

  9. ... one girl who was with a date told me that... she would kill herself in my shoes.

Is it just me, or does that seem to be the consensus among a lot of women who don't wear heels? It just strikes me as funny, heels are the one thing we street-heelers most often admire about women, and most women don't even like them.

Case in point - where I live, I can walk into my local Hy-Vee, in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, and be the ONLY one wearing heels...

    Go figure...

  10. My best friend: "Cool." My wife: Initial acceptance, followed by growing concern that I might be a closet transexual, followed by several weeks of marriage counseling, and finally full acceptance and the realization that she finds me extremely attractive in heels. Now she encourages me to wear them, and regularly keeps an eye out for styles I might like and that she'd like to see on me.
