Hi all, I've just bought some boohoo court stilletos that I fell in love with didn't.t even try them on . Thought they were 4 inch heels (my limit) but when I got them home I find the 5 inch I'm struggling to walk in them . Anyone got any good tips I dont want to take them back

If you're still trying to master the 5 inch heels, you might try purchasing a pair of 4.5 inch heels and practice on those as a stepping stone to the 5 inch heels.

Hi guys and gals, just order a pair of these from ASOS, can anyone share any experiences they have had with them? Apparently the heel is 5” and many reviews say very thin!

What is the underlying story for this picture?

I must be getting old, what does "You do you boo!" mean?

"You do you" means be yourself. Go ahead and do your thing.  Boo is a term of affection like dear or sweetheart, or baby.  I someone said hey boo, then it mostlikely means dear.  if they say "My boo", then it's most likely their significant other.

    Hope that helps.

I have a few booties without platforms that I can negotiate stairs (down) easy, but stilettos with  high platforms are what night mares are made from.

I find that with platforms it's crucial that they fit tight on your foot.  A loose platform shoe is a fall waiting to happen as many of those high heel fail videos on YouTube prove!

I have now walked with you extensively around Austin twice and you look great.  If you wanted a video you should have asked!  I've taken videos of myself in 4+" heels:

I think you did great, especially considering the terrain.  One consideration, the quantum effect.  You probably walk a little differently because you know you are being observed (filmed).

Nothing but negative comments and a whopping 1 like.

Photo's like these obviously aren't wanted in this forum, so as i said, i will refrain from  posting any more of my collection of wallpapers.

Sorry for taking up space on the forum. Feel free to delete my post.

Sorry that happened, and I can understand you feeling that way, but PLEASE reconsider!

Just exactly how old do you think I am? :giggle: Seriously, do tell! I am sure the OP has either gotten his problem resolved, or he hasn't. I'm absolutely certain of that.

I believe I first read this in Reader's Digest magazine back in the late 70's/early 80's.  A young man took a pair of shoes to the shoemaker (cobbler) for repair.  Soon after that, he was drafted, served, and returned home when the war was over.  A while after he stumbled across the repair ticket and figured he might as well go to get the shoes.  He went to the shop and the same man was working there.  He showed him the ticket.  The shopkeeper looked at it and said to him in a straight face, "They'll be ready tomorrow".

  10. Kjones92,

Not sure if someone else mentioned this, but you may want to consider extra long boot cut/straight leg jeans. Long enough to cover the shoe and heel.  This way you can travel relatively incognito until you are ready to flaunt it without a care.

    Congrats and keep pushing!

I can't really be helpful, but I can tell a funny story. I got something on ebay (not shoes, but rather vintage lawn mower parts), and they claimed to have delivered it, but it was nowhere to be found. It wasn't particularly expensive or critical for any of my continuing projects, so I just blew it off. A YEAR LATER, it showed up at my house unexpectedly.

Reminds me of the WWII shoe repair story.  Let me know if you aren't familiar with it.

I can do it in a small local boutique and a Steve Madden in a large mall. Remember I go shoe shopping every month or 2 so they recognize me. And it helps that I have high heels on. They really take notice when you have skinny jeans and knee high stilettos on.  :giggle:

Right now I need to replace maybe 5 wedges that have delaminated. They are 4 and 5 years old and have seen a lot of use.  Can find high enough wedges, max so far are 3.25 inch and I want 4+.

    Too bad.

You might want to try Nine West "To The Flo".  Wedge pumps with about a 4.5 inch heel.

  13. Sadly, it's like buying 2x 4's in the US.  The official size is 2" by 4", but the real size (last I checked) is 1.5 x 3.5 inches.  I believe the 40 EU is a 9.5 and the 41 EU is 10.5.  That being said the Chinese sizing can be very different. Your best bet is to find the style name and Google it to see what purchasers say.

    Good luck

  14. Hi all,

Sorry for the delayed reply, but Jkrenzer and I did enjoy a nice chat at  TGI Friday's in Rochester, NY.  Attached is a pic of our shoes.  Sorry, at least I am too bashful to show our faces.

Hopefully we'll get to connect again!
