  1. VERY NICE!!! Love the heel and there is just enough toe visible to make someone curious about the rest of the toes. I understand that some prefer to not show their toes so this is the perfect shoe for both sides. Thanks for posting. E

  2. Sounds like Mr. Boss may be in hot water with his Mrs. But happy that you are OK. All of my staff knows of my love for heels and a couple of women that are my size have borrowed shoes for a special occassion because it won't be a wear once then to the back of her closet. It makes me feel good to do them a favor and I know that each deeply appreciates it. But I caution them to wear the pair in advance of the occassion because in most instances the right shoe has never been worn. E

  3. Six inches of heel is a little more than I am able to handle. On a pump I prefer strapless because it appears daring pushhing the envelope of walking out of the shoe. And that is probably why I love a mule with very open toes and even a slide (I think that I have it right) like a closed pump with no back. E

  4. The "sound" issued by high heels is yet another of interesting things about them. And my observation is that the clicking reports of the high heels is unique to each style of heels. You can't tell what any given pair of heels will sound like by merely looking at them. The construction and materials used has a lot to do with it, and the particular gait of the individual wearing them factors into it, too. I like the variety, whether it be the sharp "click" of a steel heel cap followed by the sound of a softer leather sole touching the surface, or the double report of the heel cap echoed when the harder sole hits. It's all good.

I'd guess that this is particularly true in your own case, eoneleg. I would love to hear you walking on a hard surface in any variety of your highest heels, as your gait would be unmistakeable from all the rest, demanding notice.

Thanks, Raincat. You are very kind - maybe some day...

  5. There has been a lot said about the click of heels on hard surfaces - both pro and con. Personally, I like it. Having recently taken to wearing a concealed plat of a little more than one-inch, I have noticed the "click" followed by a combined "slap" and "thud" sound, sometimes sounding hollow. A friend said that she purposely declines to wear plats because of "sounding line a horse," but I disagree. What does anyone else think?

  6. It took me a while to develope a liking for peep toes. It seems that they are a little more open these days than when the first appeared which and I drawn to them, especially with concealed platforms. I wear them or any heel - sandals and pumps with nude sheer hose or bare, Fortunately I am in a warm climate and can enjoy a sandal year round. I have worn open toes with heavier opaque hose where my toes are not visible but their outline is and gotten compliments on it. I feel that it is more a matter of personal taste.

  7. What a great shape of a womens shoe! Fine classical color and leather!

The cut out on the inner side gives a nice view to the arched foot and as I think the low cut style in the front seemes to show a little of the toes!

    Very Nice!

Not sure that it shows toe cleavage for all but it does for me and I love it.

  8. I have a few pair of those, black and brown. They are some of the sexiest and easiest to wear heels i have ever worn. I buy back up pairs on E-Bay to have them for years to come.

If per chance you need only a right shoe, lelt me know

  9. Very nice story, Steve, and thanks for posting. People are used to seeing men in flip-flops, so possibly that is why no one appeared to notice your thong heels. I certainly wouldl have and definitely would have engaged you in conversation about them. E

  10. Hi Denz, and please accept my welcome to the group. Hopefully, your Mrs. will aquire more of a taste for heels and wear them more often. But reading about the adventures within this forum and using your own imagination may fill that void. I sincerely hope so. E

  11. For me one of the joys of life is wearing a mule that gives the appearance that I am about to walk out of it with every step. As the others have mentioned, there is a daring sensation when I do wear a mule and a feeling of accomplishment that I wear one all day with no problems. I recall as a child watching mom clean a closet and come across two pairs of springolators. To satisfy my curiosity, she explained what the web was for and then slipped into them and took some steps to demonstrate their clinging power. In fact she wore them around the house all morning and well into the afternoon. I was fascinated by the lack of a heel cup or back strap and how mom's entire foot was visible. They did not reveal as much toe as today's mules do and the heel was more to the chunky side. A few months back I was at a local Goodwill just browsing around and came across a pair of springolators. I was disappointed when I discovered that they were a size 10 and I wear a size 8, and the web was not as taught as when the shoes were new, but yielding to my curious nature I slid into the left shoe. There were many customers with puzzled facial expressions as I glided about the store in one shoe and on crutches. The shoe still clung to my foot more than the mules of today. I returned two days later to purchase the springolators, but to my disappointment, they were gone. My thoughts were to purchase them and have them available to someone here that requested them. The store manager remembered me, took my phone number and promised that if springolators in any size should appear, she would set them aside and notify me. E
