  1. I noticed the same thing. It does, at first, look like he is wearing a higher heel, until you can see a clear shot of the boots.

In "Batman Returns" the editing missed it because Michelle Phifer (as Catwoman) is in high heeled boots one second, then from the next angle, her boots have no heels at all.

I noticed this too. If you actually look throughout the film - her boots have heels when she's walking around normally - and they lose the heels when she starts getting more active.

As for Val Kilmer - thanks for the posts guys - I must admit I reckoned it was the lighting...!

  2. pussyinboots - I usually wear the classic courts but would love to get some sandals - and, one day, try some mules. I love the higher the better but with a thin heel.

    Any advice would be great

    Thank you

'Faith' stores are usually pretty good. 'West One' girl's shops stock 'Cassandra' heels, which are lovely - and of course you will find high heels all the time in the big girly shops - 'H & M Hennes', 'Republic', 'New Look' and 'Top-Shop'. 'Schuh' always have a good selection of this stiletto heels too.

Russell and Bromley always have gorgeous heels - as does Karen Millen. Sadly, 'Office' are useless for stylish heels these days.

Those are the one's that immediately spring to mind.....I'll keep thinking.

  3. Yes.....I think it's true...! I watched the 'Batman Forever' movie last night (Val Kilmer) - for the first time in ages......and I just happened to notice in the very first scene, as Batman is walking to the Batmobile in his Batman gear - his boots had thin heels of at least 2.5".

Anyone else notice this....or was it just the lighting...??!

  4. The explanation commonly given over here (Britain) is that it refers to a type of flat shoe worn for dancing during the heyday of “taking the waters” at the various spa towns. The room where the spa water was dispensed, and in which, or in adjacent rooms, social events such as dances were held during the season, was commonly called the “pump room(s)” – Hence “pumps” for the shoes which would often have been worn there. They were worn by the fashionable folk who took the waters in the famous Pump Room at Bath, England.

Originally they were worn as dress shoes by men.

  5. Notice the brand: "D.Renzi".

As I said above, you can have whatever you want printed on the sole/insole.

and your name is Daniele Renzi, why not start an own brand called "D.Renzi".

It is legal... even if a bit tricky.

The shoes are beautiful. If you like them, buy them, but keep in mind

    a) they are NO designer shoes

:irked: they actually cost about 30-40 EUR (the standard pumps)

    Luca Di Renzi.........

  6. Amazing how many girls wanted to be next to him, My ex had the same infatuation I however did not...:irked:

    Al

David Coverdale...? Oh he was beautiful in his prime....and had such a sexy voice. He's a bit of a train wreck now though.....(sex, drugs and rock 'n roll always takes its' toll.......). Tawny Kitaen was gorgeous when she was younger too.

  7. The tall brown suede boots would look great with a matching top and blue skinny jeans or a chocolate A-line mini-skirt and tan micronets.

Not just nervous first-timers. I think they would suit all male heelers....and they're quite 'girly' enough for girls too. In fact, they're SO nice - I've ordered a pair...!!

  8. Well, I'm the third girl voting and the first one posting.......very sad, because this subject is very interesting.

The sex object view is very important for us (women). Very...very important. Wearing heels is so natural...many of us wear heels since we became women from girls, when we were teens. Many of us know the sexual connotation of wearing heels. And, as Happyinheels said, for others, it's just fashion.

    :irked:

    This.

Heels have always made me feel good about myself - even better than usual. I feel powerful and sexy in high heels. I am very aware of the sexual attraction that high heels have for men - and to see this in day to day life when I wear heels is a powerful intoxicant for sure.

  9. Why didn't you ask her?

That was the comment that I deleted....I was originally going to ask the same question, but then I realised that I should really credit the OP with more intelligence than to post a question here, that he could easily ask his lady friend.:irked:

Unfortunately, I can't help on the brand of the heels at this juncture.
