Simcity3 Posted November 9, 2007 Share Posted November 9, 2007 Ok i found some numbers of how many wears heels... i found from 1999-2000.up to 2007... these numbers show how many males and females wearing heels.... 1999 - 66% Females And 3% Males.... ( This Is world Wide ) 2000 - 64% Females And 6% Males.... 2001 - 68% Females And 7% Males.... 2002 - 69% Females And 9% Males.... 2003 - 68% Females And 8% Males.... 2004 - 68% Females And 9% Males.... 2005 - 71% Females And 9% Males.... 2006 - 76% Females And 16% Males.... 2007 - 72% Females And 19% Males.... My Point With This Is If I Follow These Numbers Then The Time 50% Of The Males Wear's Heels Is In 2030-2040 But Personally I don't Think It Will Be So Popular So Fast Because it will still be Strange For Many People.... In My Opinion It Will At Least Be After 2100 If It Ever Get's Popular For Men To Wear Heels.... I think the jump from 2005 to 2007 just is temporarely and wont get much higher before in long time.... But then again i still hope that it will be popular for us men to wear heel's.... These Numbers are not 100% Corect because It is only calculated on people ho did the test..... JNR Posted November 9, 2007 Share Posted November 9, 2007 Although these numbers are encouraging and do indicate the number of men wearing heels is increasing with time, i know that surveys and statistics can be "skewed" to show almost anything the people taking the survey want to show. Where did you get these figures? It is important to know how many people participated in the surveys, what questions were asked and how they were worded. Halelujah! I thought this going to be another long boring discussion about the angle of the heel vs. the lenght of the shoe. So as it is, I find these figures very encouraging. Remember, it is highly doubtful that men wearing high heels will ever gain full acceptance. But on the other hand, full acceptance is not a requirement. With just 19% wearing heels, we may have actually taken the first hurdle. From here on, it becomes a matter of fashion and taste. Keep on stepping, Guy N. I've been 'on the lookout' for heel-wearing blokes myself for about two decades now. Outside of the HeelMeets, i've never seen any. Cities, towns, villages, shopping malls, airports, rail stations, gig crowds, you name it. Apart from the very occasional drag-wearing stag party member, etc. i've seen none whatsoever. There may be many thousands of admirers and closet heelers out there, but there are a precious few street heelers. 1% would be an excellent statistic if it were accurate. I was in two of the largest airports in the country, Atlanta and Dallas/Fortworth. I enjoyed the fun of four casinos, took part in activities in three convention centers, and patronized numerous restaurants and hotels. A number of days were spent at the University of Tucson Medical Center. According to the statistics suggested in this thread, one out of every five of all the men I saw should have been wearing heels. Where were they? I didn't see any. On the other subject of heel angle. The foot and ankle moves/rotates through three fundamental axis as the heel rises. Without an understanding of progressive geometry it's of no significance. Adding to the confusion is the reality that all feet/ankles are not created equal. The other part of the reality is the manufactures have no consistency in heel height and appropriate shank ankles.
