Thighboots2
So, I have succumbbed to my desires once more, and thought you would like to share. First up I bought some new Cuban Heeled Chealsea Boots. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b202/thighboots2/FW245.jpg http://www.pennangalan.co.uk/boots/FW245.php They have a 7cm heel of solid rubber so there is no heel noise, just the slap from the sole as it ome down. The heel is very shock absorbing and very comfortable to walk in once you get used to the feel of the shock absorber. Winklepicker or pointed toe design so right in fashion. The elasticated sides are strong and whilst I am a make UK 9 - 9.5, I ordered them in UK11. Great fit and good comments from both M&F. Wear with skinny leg trousers or jeans for the complete look. These have joined my daily wear set. Thats the "Guy Heels" dealt with. I have had many pairs of stiletto heels, but always the classic "D" shape heel. I fancied a pair of the round "pencil" type heels that so many women's shoes sport these days. Difficult to find in my size. Pleaser have incorporated this heel type into their MILAN range at 4.5" which is as high as I can practically wear to walk more than 400 yards. Sure I can do 5", but not for long and this is about pleasure, not pain. The range with this heel type is quite wide and I chose a D'Orsay style for a change from the usual court shoe style. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b202/thighboots2/MILAN-25.jpg http://www.pleaser.co.uk Waiting for these to be delivered in the next few days. Sarah G
TB2 I like your latest purchase, both of them but the stilettos are a style I particularly like. I have a pair just like them and same make but a slightly higher heel and I find them very comfortable and make my legs look great. Great choice Sarah G

Puffer
First up I bought some new Cuban Heeled Chealsea Boots. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b202/thighboots2/FW245.jpg http://www.pennangalan.co.uk/boots/FW245.php They have a 7cm heel of solid rubber ... Winklepicker or pointed toe design so right in fashion. The elasticated sides are strong and whilst I am a male UK 9 - 9.5, I ordered them in UK11. Great fit and good comments from both M&F. I've only just seen Tb2's posting and maybe he (or someone else) can clarify a couple of points (no pun intended!) as I am interested in these boots too. At 58, I well remember these Beatle styles in the early 60s and wished I had bought a pair then! The Pennangalan website says that the boots run small and buying one size larger is suggested. Tb2 says that an 11 fits his 9/9.5 foot well so I am wondering if the 12 will in fact be large enough for me as I usually wear a UK11 (or 45/46) in a medium width. I don't find pointed toes a problem (and recently purchased pointed shoes have proved longer than normal and perfectly comfortable) but are these boots very pointed and/or narrow, which might be the reason for the 'one size up' recommendation? The website says that the rear lift is 5cm but Tb2 says the true heel height is 7cm; is the website wrong? Does anyone else in the UK sell a similar boot, pref with a cuban heel? I have seen some pointed zip-sided boots in Topman which are both stylish and comfortable, albeit with a normal heel. They are not on the website (why not?) but are in the shops at £50 - and maybe will be in the sales shortly at something less. From news items earlier this year, I had expected the cuban heels (with or without pointed toes) to be more in evidence but it doesn't seem to have happened, at least in the UK High Street shops. Or am I wrong?

Thighboots2
Hi Puffer, Wellmine are certainly a 7 cm heel. But the website has changed. Worth a quick email. They do respond quickly. I would order a 12 as they are tight. Expect to struggle with the elasticated sides for the first few wears as they are very strong to hug the leg. no heel noise whatsoever just the slap of the sole as you walk. TB2 Thanks, TB2, that's helpful. I was going by what's on the website today when I asked my questions but, as you suggest, I ought to contact the supplier direct. When you say 'tight', do you mean for width or length - it isn't very obvious from pic how narrow or pointed the boots are and whether that is the critical factor. I am a little doubtful that a 12 will be roomy enough. Puffer
Thighboots2
Puffer, Well as sizes vary wildy between manufacturers, e.g. I take a 9 in Jones products, 9.5 in Clarks and M&S, 10 is others and 11 in these boots, it is a bit difficult to say. You could also goto Underground shoes http://www.underground-cybershop.co.uk/acatalog/English_RockB.html and you will see them again at roughly the same price, but also in suede finish. I would certainly go up one whole size as the width is not generous so as to get a nice point shape. Also check with both suppliers to see their return/exchange policy. Underground also have stockists. There is a form on the website to fill in for them to respond with the nearest to you. Link is http://www.underground-england.co.uk/store_form1.php Could be well worth following this as fitting in a shop is preferable. Good Luck, TB2 Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?
