elevated Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I've just bought my first pair of 6 inch heels off eBay:smile: They arrived in the post this morning, and I unpacked them and put them straight on. Best of all, I can stand in them and walk in them:clap: Here's a picture of the shoes.
hckyplyr123 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Those are very nice. I have a thing for Oxfords, not sure why but I like them alot. Nice purchase, wish I had a pair like them.
johnieheel Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Nice! I to like oxfords. GF and I also have a pair. Mine are blk like that only with a 4" heel and Gf's are red and blk with 4" heel. real men wear heels
tallguyinheels Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Nice... I have a pair like them... All but a few of my women's heels are Oxfords. I guess I don't see many women in them - so maybe I think of them as more appropriate. Compared to pumps, oxfords feel more secure on your feet bc of the laces - almost like boots.
thedesigner Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Same as, I've got a pair of 4" that i use as streetwear with soulmate, v comfortable!!
fiddler1307 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I would like to say that I too really like Oxfords, and have 2 pairs now. One pair like yours, and a second pair in white patent from The Highest Heel, which have heels 7" high, but despite the height, they are surprisingly comfortable.
elevated Posted June 4, 2007 Author Posted June 4, 2007 Thanks for your appreciative comments. I've liked oxfords for a very long time, but these are my first pair. I think my appreciation of them dates from the fashion for "granny" shoes in the late 1970's - loads of girls at school wore them then with 3 to 4" heels. I thought you all might like to see a picture of the shoes on. For those of you that are interested the style is "Pleaser Domina 460".
wood&metal Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Very cool.. I have a pair of oxfords with 6 inch heels in white.. Aside from the color (white, no idea why i picked white) I love them.. Never frown because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
foxylady Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I've just bought my first pair of 6 inch heels off eBay:smile: They arrived in the post this morning, and I unpacked them and put them straight on. Best of all, I can stand in them and walk in them:clap: Here's a picture of the shoes. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s139/isheels/My%20Shoes/6oxfords.jpg I would like to buy a pair like these, but as already mentioned I have a wide calf and as well a very high bridge (the top of my foot) so it makes it already difficult to buy sandals. Or are they easy to fit, do I have to take a size larger.... FL FoxyLady
elevated Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 ……are they easy to fit, do I have to take a size larger.... FL I bought my correct size ( UK 8 ) and they are only just big enough for me - if I'm honest I could probably do with the next size up. I'm quite skinny and the laces fully close when I do them up, so I'd say that they are quite roomy over the instep. I hope this helps. I bought mine on eBay from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/EXOTICDANCEWEAR-COUK. Similar shoes by Pleaser can be bought from numerous sourced on line including http://www.alternative-footwear.co.uk/
