SallysWorld - Webmaster Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Is it just me???? (probably!),im finding it very difficult to navigate my way round this new forum! as well as using code to insert images /links etc (there used to be links on the old style format that helped you if you got stuck!) also if you dont know what to type in to create a smiley how do you insert smileys into you message???? Sure this is all dumb ass stuff...but maybe im not the only one finding it fustrating? SW-W
hoverfly Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Yeah things are a little raw here are they? Right now you can't cut and paste. Hello, my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee! 👠1998 to 2022!
Tech Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Hey Hoverfly / Sallysworld.. Things here are not RAW, there just slightly different thats all... Smilies The smilieys are all here, to access them, just click on the "Post Reply" button at the top/bottom of the pages.. If you use the "quick reply box" at the bottom of the screen you wont see the smilieys because it just a "quick reply" box. Images This new forum has an interface just like using MS word, so to insert an image into the quick reply box or the "post reply" box, just click on the "insert image" icon then put in the URL of your image. To use boh of the above requires that you do not turn off the enhanced WYSIWYG interface in your member control panel / profile. If your not sure, then please use the FAQ link on the menu above as you will find instructions in the FAQ section. Cut/Paste Hoverfly, when you say cut and paste, what exactly do you mean "Cut" and paste? Where would you like to "cut" from? If you mean copy/paste info into a post then that works fine as I do it all the time but I cant see how you would cut info from a page here without editing/deleting it.. hoverfly Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Maybe it's kind of mute now since I noticed a spell checker is provided here so I would not need to cut form this message reply but since you have Select all and paste on right click, would you think you need cut option there as well? Or on the message box tool bar to? Hello, my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee! 👠1998 to 2022!

BobHH Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I do have a problem with the statements under "Curiosities, What" which states that us guys don't want porno platforms or other sexy type heels, but rather manly looking styles. At least some of us like the sexy platforms - me, SexyPlatforms, TXT, etc. The statements come across as a put down of those who like those shoes. And we are not at all critical of others tastes in shoes. Unlike SexyPlatforms, I am going to the thinner platforms which are much easier to handle if you are careless or on rough ground, though I see enough girls handling platform stilettos without problems. I like the platforms because they are more rigid and have more padding, making them more comfortable. Yes, they are sexy. What is wrong with that? They are also comfortable and feel good to wear. The thick, chunky, clunky styles are not visually appealing to me. I have one pair of boots like that which I do not wear. I have men's work shoes like that that I wear for physical labor.
Tech Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Hi Bob Please try to read some of the history in the announcem, ents section first as this would save you posting info like this I think.... The forum needed a new home and it needed it quickly so I took over as Admin and put the forum into my already working website (as I didnt have control over the hhplace.org domain name at the time) then once the domain name got transferred, I then put everything from my own website (Features wise) into hhplace.. hhplace is still in need of updating in various places yet and isnt finished but at least it was saved from closure and was kept online. BobHH Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I do appreciate the work put into saving HHPlace. Life would be incomplete without it - cutoff from communication with those of like interests. It would be nice if retailers and advertisers were to drop the men's/women's divisions and just sell shoes. I have only seen this once, in a JC Penney flyer that had all the shoes lumped together, with no gender labels.
