johnieheel Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 This I cannot and will not deal with. There are two posts that I thought I would never see on this site. Cheap drugs and Dicks (porn). I cannot and will not belong to a site that deals in drugs and porn. I thought this was a clean site but maby I was wrong. I have met some really cool people here and have had alot of fun so far but do not see it necessary for this kind of trash to be brought to such a cool site. LOOKS BAD!!! real men wear heels

THey are Spam and I find it hard to belive that you have not seen those kinds of posts before. if you go to the report spam here thread you will see countless reports of these kinds of posts. they are nothing to do with the HHPlace and will be deleted. just ignore them, the Mods will delete thim soon enough. johnieheel Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 OK kinda new at this. Thanks. real men wear heels
Guy N. Heels Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Johnnie, one of the things you need to understand is that cyberspace is rather like an electronic ocean. And much like the ocean, there's a lot of flotsam & jetsam, and outright polution floating around out there. Now people take pains to keep this stuff off the ship, but if you are going to sail this ocean, sooner or later some of it washes on board. The only sure way to keep from coming in contact with it is to haul yer ship outta the water. Keep on stepping, Guy N. Heels
dr1819 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Along with the flotsam and jetsam, we also have fish that occasionally just leap right out of the water and land on the boat. If we don't spot them and throw them back in good time, they start to smell...
xaphod Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 This I cannot and will not deal with. ...... Unfortunately the internet attracts a whole bunch of unwholesome people. The heel-wearing guys, and the few girls who enjoy being here too, do not want to be associated with any of this human rubbish, but, regretably, the spammers don't seem to get the message. My personal feeling is to question the justification why this scum should be allowed to overpopulate this fair planet, but politics to the right of Atilla the Hun is no longer allowed. In some circles, guys wearing heels may be regarded as deviant scum, so this idea is best not pursued !!!! The practical upshot of this is that we do our best to remove the rubbish as quickly as possible, but if you look at any particular time, you might find a little rubbish here. In some ways it's like a front garden. You like to keep it looking good with flowers and shrubs, but every now-and-again some idiot throws his crisp bag or beer can into your garden, so you have to pick up his rubbish and throw it in the trash. It might piss you off, but, unless you can find him and have a 'discussion' in a dark alley for 10 minutes, there is little else you can do. Xa
johnieheel Posted September 11, 2006 Author Posted September 11, 2006 Yes, I understand about taking out the trash. As soon as you take it out, it starts building up again for the next trash truck visit. I have a very open mind but try to keep it clean and still have a little fun so this does not bother me to the extent of ever making me leave this or any other site where every body has been understanding and more helpfull to my needs and quest to be a better person. Thanks for your comments. Keep on heeling. real men wear heels
jmc Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Actually, you can help the moderators "take out the trash". Under "Hellos, Goodbyes and General Announcements", there is a thread titled "Report Spam Here". It's sticky so it is always right at the top of the "Hellos. . ." forum. Call up the last page of that thread and post any spam you find as a reply to that thread. (If I do say so myself) a fairly decent instruction for getting the URL of a post appears here: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?p=114894#114894. Once you have the URL of the spam post, you can paste it into your report. The mods do a great job, they are really on top of this stuff. Spam does not stay here for long! Have a happy time!
dr1819 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I do wish that the US had taken advantage of the opportunity to create much stronger anti-spamming language in legistation is created several years ago. Many were pushing for an anti-spam act that made the sending of any unsolicited advertisement of any kind which cost the user any amount of money (as do e-mails or posts on this board) totally illegal and punisheable with heavy fines and jail time. Sadly, this didn't go through.
