Now unless Payless makes copies of these shoes (make is Fioni I think) then someone is going to pay at least $80.00 over the odds!!! - they are $24.99 at Payless, well thats what i'm paying for my identical ones - being shipped over to me by my contact in the states. Is Fioni a Payless brand?? In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
vector Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Last I knew, Fioni was a payless brand. WOW!! $107! I'm in the wrong business!!!
Danielinheels Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Yep, Fioni is a Payless brand. I think someone made a mistake in bidding... wait that's not possible, there are 20 listed bids, someone must have REALLY wanted those shoes...lol I, personally, like these more http://cgi.ebay.com/Size-12-Brown-Metal-Studs-High-Heels-Mules_W0QQitemZ7738863925QQcategoryZ63889QQcmdZViewItem this seller also has a pair of shoes currently at $62... needless to say this person will make BANK come the end of the week.. Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. - Oscar Wilde
coolshoes Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I bought a pair last week at my friendly Payless Store and also noticed the unreal price on eBay. There was an earlier pair that sold for about $60 or so. In fact, seeing them on eBay is what prompted me to go to the store to see if they had a pair. As much as I prefer leather, I just had to get a pair of these. I assume that the higher eBay price is the price you pay if you are not willing to go to the store, try them on and buy them. Go gently through life.
canadianbeaver17 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 There's 2 reasons for this: 1) It's classic supply and demand economics. Those large sizes for trendy shoes are hard to find. Therefore, people will spend a large sum to get them. I've noticed this with a lot of payless shoes on ebay. 2) People don't bother looking at either the store which sells the shoe or even the ebay store of the seller. Many of times I've found stuff on the general auctions, then looked at the store to see that it is cheap due to the fact people keep bidding and bidding on the auction. Just some food for thought.
Dr. Shoe Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Sometimes they might be from a country outside the US and so unavailable for them to but from Payless.... Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Skirted-UK Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 $107, they must have more money than sense ! "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave ! " The Eagles, "Hotel California"

Same seller has another identical pair up for sale now at: http://cgi.ebay.com/Brown-High-Heels-Clog-Size-13-New-Shoes_W0QQitemZ7740136643QQcategoryZ63889QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem $41 18hours in to a 3 day auction. ShockQueen Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Sometimes I think that the people who bid on e-bay have more money than brains. But that goes without saying these days. Those were nice clogs though! Wouldn't mind finding a nice place to get 'em in my real size....14 or 15 depending on width. SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!

ShockQueen Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 there are some weird things sold on Ebay too... like "Metallica's integrity"... it went for $1 but was stopped by Ebay Management.... For being too high of a starting bid, no doubt. Sorry....I just have a bitter taste after them crying foul over Napster....especially when 10 years earlier, they were encouraging people to copy their tapes & share with their friends..... Sorry....got OT there for a sec. By the by, TXT-1..may you get lots of use out of those beauties! Once you get used to wearing them, you truly feel like you're on top of the world. Driver8 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 How's this for a weird eBay auction? Everytime I come home, I pass this old Irish church. I promise to go into that church every day-- for a certain number of days-- for at least an hour each visit. For every $10 you bid, I will go to the Church for 1 day. link
TXT-1 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 nope I lost all hope in Metallica geting back to their roots as soon as "St Anger" was released... if I want GOOD Metallica I listen to stuff from Kill 'em all (1983) to .And Justice for all (1988) but I switched my allegience to Iron Maiden... and haven't looked back... shockqueen wrote: By the by, TXT-1..may you get lots of use out of those beauties!
