ShockQueen Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Today I think I have pushed the envelope once again, this time in BLACK! <img src=http://us.st8.yimg.com/store4.yimg.com/I/pierresilber_1688_5623679"> In a size 14, these have a four-inch front rise and an EIGHT-inch spike. Watch out now...I'm dangerous! My co-workers eyes just bugged in amazement when I showed them off. Funny thing is though, is that they are really stable, just like my 7" sandals. Most days, I still like my 5" sandals and 4" pumps - some days you just have to go to extremes, you know? All together now! WALLS DOWN! HEELS UP!! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
JeffB Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Whoa! Talk about skyscrapers! I got a bad case of vertigo from just LOOKING at those shoes! I'm certainly impressed that you pulled it off! More power to you! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
DesertHeeler Posted May 20, 2002 Posted May 20, 2002 Impressive shoes! There goes another big chunk of the wall! Ken
ShockQueen Posted May 20, 2002 Author Posted May 20, 2002 Yeah...I kicked the chunk off with my platforms! ***WHACK!!!*** Of course, my supervisor loved 'em, and my friends got bug-eyed and were saying how they couldn't do anything like that. I think they come by nowadays just to see what I'm wearing that day, which is fine with me I think I have reached my vertical limit finally - now it's getting crazy. I still prefer my 5" chunky-heeled platforms and my pumps most days though. All right...everybody - WITH FEELING! WALLS DOWN! HEELS UP!!! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
Firefox Posted May 21, 2002 Posted May 21, 2002 They are very daring shoes SQ, but if a woman or a man turned up to work in shoes like that, I think the management would be within their rights to ask them not to wear anything that high just on safety grounds.
ShockQueen Posted May 21, 2002 Author Posted May 21, 2002 You are correct, Firefox. In that one regard, I have been lucky. I don't wear them everyday though...mainly I wear my 5" chunky sandals or my 4" stils. I just gotta take the high ones out for a spin once in a while , otherwise they might get lonely . All together now..... WALLS DOWN! HEELS UP!! ***WHACK!!!*** There goes another chunk 'o the wall! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
ShockQueen Posted May 22, 2002 Author Posted May 22, 2002 Actually, that's a stock shot from Pierre Silber's site. I wish I could take the credit, but I'm not that immaculate (yet). SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
ShockQueen Posted May 22, 2002 Author Posted May 22, 2002 Here is tonight's flavor - just going down a little bit lower: This is another stock shot, as I don't have a digital camera yet, but this gives you an idea of what I'm tottering around in this evening at the office. Francis Posted May 22, 2002 Posted May 22, 2002 ShockQueen, when I've got the money to visit the states, we are going to have some serious fun Look Out Denver! Consider this your first warning!
terayon Posted May 22, 2002 Posted May 22, 2002 shockqueen..i REALLY love that style of shoe...almost my favorite style for sandals in fact
DesertHeeler Posted May 22, 2002 Posted May 22, 2002 Yep, those are pretty nice. Since you've reached your vertical limit, I guess now you'll have to get daring with colors. Ken
ShockQueen Posted May 22, 2002 Author Posted May 22, 2002 I've been a bit daring with colors already, as my 7" platform sandals are white patent with a red ankle strap and blue toe strap with a white star on them, and I also have a pair of 4" pumps in red patent that I have worn as well. To Francis: Warning taken...GLADLY! Paddle faster...it's a long way across that pond! I am SO looking forward to that day! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
Dexter23 Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 are you realy wearing thost to work..... wow quite cool I am a long way from those. I don't like the open ones but the pic. you posted on 2002-05-22 04:17.... dammm just in one word: GREAT
Nikk Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 SQ, I'm sooooo envious that you can get away with wearing those at work. I felt I was pushing the limits a bit with my 3" wedges. Mind you I don't think I could even walk in some of the pairs you've posted, so I've got a lot of hard work ahead.
ShockQueen Posted June 6, 2002 Author Posted June 6, 2002 Yes, every pair that I've discussed/posted here has been seen at the call center I work in  I'm just fortunate to be in such an open and supportive environment. It makes the days go much smoother and happier knowing that my fashion sense isn't thumbed at or looked down upon. SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
hoverfly Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 Man.... If you go any higher you are going to need a helmet!! Forget the wall watch out ceilings and door frames. Hello, my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee! 👠1998 to 2022!
ShockQueen Posted June 6, 2002 Author Posted June 6, 2002 When I wore the 8" sandals, I came about 2 inches from the top of the shortest doorframe, so I've been lucky so far. They are a dream to walk in though. I did get some others that were shorter though. The pair I have is black and black sole, but this is the style: They go GREAT with trousers or even jeans! These are also in my 'everday-wear' category for wearing to work, which I wore them today. Just call me the fashion plate of our call center! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
