Tommy
Hi all! How do pointed heels feel like ? I think it must be a suffering for people with wide feet ( like me ). Also to fit them ( especially boots, like the picture ), to get in the shoe. What do you think ? Greetz, Tommy !
nhoj62
tommy i wear this style of boots alot, they are as easy to get into as any other boot and i find that they are better for a wider foot, my feet are wide across the toes, because having a point means they are longer so they are that bit wider than a rounded toe boot. tho u have to adjust your step when walking to avoid catching the point on the ground all the time. later nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling! micha
Hi all! How do pointed heels feel like ? I think it must be a suffering for people with wide feet ( like me ). Hi Tommy, the point isn't the point (*g*) It doesn't belong to the toe box, it's only a fashionable accessoire rsp. decoration. Usually the sole is much longer than your feet. Only the width at your football and at the instep is relevant. My astonishing experience: Italians boots are mostly true in size. Can't say this always about american shoes. In your place I would order them one size bigger. But pay attention - the width at your calfs could be also a problem. With my foot size (EU 45 / UK 11 / fem US13) I'm dependant of internet shops and ebay. No chance to try them on in a shoe shop. Luckily I have relative slim feet. So I had almost never problems with pointy boots. On the contrary: sometimes they were fitting well in lower sizes micha The best fashion is your own fashion! flavio
I experienced a lot of pairs of pointed toes shoes and never had problems with them. Actually, it's my feelings, pointed toes at the right size makes less harm to my feet as flat shoes with square or round toeboxes. My pair of knee high 5 inch boots are pointed toes and custom made and I feel that boots like a glove. The toeboxes are very pointed and don't hurt my toes. My regular (male) shoes sometimes give me caluses over the toes or hurt the point. My heeled boots are outstanding. I think my feet are made for pointed toeboxes. Conclusion: the toebox style has nothing to do with confort or health problems. The question is "how well made are the shoes". Heels for all! Flavio. Flavio - Brazilian heel lover, now in France. chris100575
I've not noticed any difference in comfort between pointed and round toes, even in my Faith boots which are so pointed they could take out an eye! Chris

Dawn HH
Tommy:-) I like a pointed toe box on shoes and boots, although I have round and square ones too. I have been wearing pointy toes for many years now and I am quite comfortable in them. The secret is a good fit in whatever you buy. Pointy toes are a very popular styling point.
