Hi, I am new here. I'm a woman in my midforties and have loved high heels from early childhood. I prefer rather classic stiletto pumps or mules. Chunky heels leave me cold, and for some reason or another I don't think it's fun to wear platforms anymore. In short, I like my shoes to look like the shoes I had for my Barbie dolls in the 60's - elegant, sleek and ladylike. I have chosen my screen name to remind me of one of the less lucky high heeled episodes in my life. I was the passenger on a motorcycle, wearing a pair of knee high boots with a 7" heel (and a platform in front). When I left the bike, I discovered to my surprise that one of my heels had gone soft. Apparently my heel had been to close to something hot. Major faux pas... ;)

Welcome, rubberheel. Sounds like you foot might have been too close to the exhaust pipe. Oh well better the shoe than your foot.

What you would need to do is use an image editing program, and look for the option of resize or resample. Then you will need to upload the image to an imagehost for you to link to. To get more detailed requires knowing the specific program you are using to edit images.

I'm happy to have found this forum. I'm the only person in my environment who wear heels, so I'm really looking forward to have some fellow heel lovers - male and female - to chat with. The strange thing is that in my 44 year long life, I have only met ONE man who liked heels. The rest just thought I was silly. I'm positively surprised to see so many men here. Maybe I just live in the wrong place...

Oh - and I'm sorry my picture showed up so large. It's only 22k, so i had imagined it smaller.

I also better tell that English is not my first language. Please, correct me, when I make mistakes.

Hi, rubberheel - I like rubberheels too (quiet!). I like sleepy academic stuff, too. I've bored thousands with my ideas... Just ask anyone on this board. But I know my limits, at least when clanged on the backside of my head...

Please write me. I'd love to know more about you.

I think that is a Helmut Newton photo. I've seen it before.

It certainly displays his sense of humor with the woman in high heels with crutches being helped up by two guys.
