Bubba136 Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I see by a advertisement on BBC that Red Nose Day will be coming up next month. Do any of our members use this celebration as an excuse to wear their heels to collect money for charity (besides Francis, who has done this in the past, I think) ? Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
hoverfly Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Is that sort of like what we call Brown nosing here in the U.S.? Just kiding Hello, my name is Hoverfly. I’m a high heel addict…. Weeeeeeeeeee! 👠1998 to 2022!
Dr. Shoe Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Red Nose Day is a telethon run by the UK's comedians as Comic Relief to raise money for good causes around the world. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
nhoj62 Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 it a good cause an well supported, by the t-shirts at tk-maxx folks! later nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!
Francis Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I use Red Nose Day only as an excuse for wearing my more fetish/extreme heels out in public. My excuse and I'm sticking to it. Actually, why should we have to have an excuse. True, I would get a fair bit more stick for wearing red stilettos everyday but that's life. I'm not sure if I'm doing any collecting this year, but I'll keep everyone posted if I am. In the meantime, if anyone is planning an event, post it so we can all participate.
Priscilla Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I suppose we in UK use it like our colonial friends across the water use Halloween
