A tease of things to come

We didnt actually start the day with plans on doing a photo shoot. All I wanted was a subject to sit in while experimenting with some new lighting equiment. To my surprize and I must say to my greatest pleasure, SammieJane says "What the hell, I'll get dressed up"! I ended up with 60 or so wonderful pictures! This is just one:

I would love to hear what you all think!

Thanks

Excellent, tasteful, artistic. WELL DONE! The hat is PERFECT for your wife's "Cleopatra"-like elegant facial profile. I couldn't have done better myself.....and I am the MOST critical of photo critics. As a matter of fact, the cat's intrusion into the picture is fitting, even though it isn't perfectly "arranged," shall we say. It gives me ideas for a theme as well as props. (I visualize the exact same profile and gaze, seated on a thone with headress and and some type of staff or spear. The cat, or cats, ancient protectors of the temple, posed just as elegantly at her spike-heeled feet.) Carry On!

Thanks for all the comments! She will be doing some high heel pics in the future as well. We just bought 6 pairs from Newport News. (4" heel pumps in various colors) She wears all the heels in the family. For me, I get all my pleasure from getting to dress her up. It is like having my own personal fetish request line! :) The cats... well they are her babies. We have 5 in all, and you will see them in quite a few pictures. They go nuts over the crops for some reason. We have the one male cat that has a bigger leather fetish than I do! Thanks as well for the comments on the photo quality. (That hat was all her idea by the way) This was literally a first time out for the new flash equipment! I was having to learn how to match my camera to the flash intensity, etc. (ANY helpful hints here are welcome!) I have just ordered a studio lighting set and will be ordering a set of backdrops in a few weeks. I should have the first 20 or so pictures posted within the next few days. I work 12 hour shifts, so I have to work with Sultry as I can on getting all the photos edited and posted. Thank you all again, Nick & Lady Sultry

Thank you! I managed to get all the thumbnails done today. I should have the complete first gallery done by the weekend. Thanks again, Nick

That's a nice pic, something very classy about black and white. :) Look forward to seeing more. Ellen-Jay :o

Here it is! The "official first release"

Well, the very first set from the 2005 galleries has

arrived! This set has 18 pictures from a 40 picture set that will be

set up over the coming weeks. You can see it here:

www.sultry-leather.com

This started out as just some experimentation with a new flash and

lighting setup. We had no intentions of getting any "useable" pictures

out of this set! Lady Sultry got in mood while we were playing and

decided to do makeup and put together outfits and this is what we came

up with!

For those of you new to Lady Sultry's work, this is her first photo

session in well over a year. She almost lost her life in 2004 due to a

misdiagnosis by an inept doctor! She was just released from the

hospital in November of 2004 and has been blessed with a rather speedy

recovery. She is back to doing what she loves, and what we all love to

see her do!

We also host a fan club for Lady Sultry at:

www.groups.yahoo.com/group/ladysultry

This is a newly formed group, as we have fears that the Yahoo censors

will be closing the old "ilovebootssultry" group any day now. For the

group owners that allow us to post this, please know that this isn't

spam. Our web site is totally free and we really have nothing to sell.

We have no plans of trying to "steal" members away from any other

group. This is just Lady Sultry's way of sharing our fetishes for

fashion with all of you!

Lady Sultry can be reached directly at: sultry@sultry-leather.com

Thanks!!

Thank you Ellen! I enjoy shooting in B&W and I hope to get better at it. It especially highlights the more gothic makeup styles, and even adds some nostalgic look too. Thanks again, Nick

Nick:-) It appears that Lady Sultry really enjoys wearing thigh-high boots. Great pics and looking for more "teases" for later. Cheers--- Dawn HH

High Heeled Boots Forever!

Posted

Hi Nick, I love the pics of Lady Sultry, both here and on your site. Thanks for sharing them with us. Chris ps. I have the same pair of thigh boots as she's wearing here!

Posted

Dawn: Yup, she is partial to thigh boots, but for the most part loves anything with a heel. She prefers spikey, non platform heels to others. Chris: That is awesome... share some pics?? Those are Pleasers and are some of her favorites! That pair is actually a replacement pair. She allowed a "bootblack" at a BDSM event to shine the originals and they did something that destroyed the leather! Soooo.. the owner of bootifull.com bought her some replacements. Thank you guys for all the nice comments and for visiting the site. Nick

real nice, would be nicer if she went on a diet for awhile tho

I am going to try to be as nice about this as I can. A year ago, she was misdiagnosed with a severe illness and put into CHEMO THERAPY! Last October, we were making prearrangements for her burial and funeral! She was sent to a university hospital where the figured out the mistake and started the correct treatment. Sooo.. the best I can tell you is in the English vernacular....Sod off. Or in plain English...Piss off! She looks damn great for a Lady that by all rights could have been dead three months ago!

Some people have tact. Other's don't. And still others have to prove they're really shit heads. Crotchboots, I bet you really feel like one of the latter right now. (I think there's a lesson there somewhere.)

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

Or as Scott Adams (Dilbert fame) points out - everyone's an idiot at some point, even if they normally aren't. He used the example of being rightiously indignant that his pager didn't work after he changed the batteries.....and he made it quite clear when he walked in to the repair shop that he was unhappy. Then the guy behind the counter reversed the batteries and all was good :-) An amusing story even if not true (though I've seen things similar).

Sorry to hear about the illness but glad everything has worked out. Is she on the mend or completely recovered? And what illness masquerades as cancer?? (if I may ask - feel free to decline to answer of course). That must have been a psychological roller coaster to travel along the last half year or so.....

It's a nice photo (both are, really) but there's something missing and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the B&W and I'm not really a B&W kinda guy, but I don't think that's all. Hm, I guess I'll just have to examing the photos in more detail :-) Maybe the angle it's taken at? Not sure....

Can you send along the specs of the pic (ISO, shutter speed, etc.) and what camera you used?

Well done and keep it up.

Hi Russ.... The pager story seems quite fitting :) She went to the doctor with some issues like the balls of her feet hurting, etc. She was diagnosed with "severe rheumatoid arthritis" which the specialist here decided to treat her with a drug called Methotrexate to start with. This coupled with massive amounts of steroids, then weekly IV treatments of drugs like Remicade. These were all in combination with other chemo based drugs. She went through the hair loss, severe weight gain due to fluid retention. She had to wear size 12 tennies just so they would fit her feet that are normally a petite size 7! The fluid her body was retaining due to the chemo and steroids started to affect her heart and lungs. She had to sleep sitting up. Turns out that the whole problem (the pain) was nothing more than a defficiency of Potassium in her body!!! Yes, she is still on the mend. She has loss a massive amount of her muscle mass, and is still losing weight like mad. She works out daily, but has to fight some muscle stiffness and soreness. She was a gymnast and dancer in her younger years and retained much of the flexibility until this past illness. She is determined to get better. She has plans on becoming a Pro Domme at some point, and would hope to be able to return to dancing. About the pics, I use an older Casio QV3000EX. This is the first time that I have used it with the new lights. I will have to see if I wrote down the Fstop and shutter speed. I am somewhat acritical of my won work too. I think one of my biggest issues is that I only had one umbrella flash working, and it only had a 60 watt modeling light. I have since bought a full studio lighting set that will provide better lighting for the white balance of the camera. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, by all means let me hear them!

Crotchboots: Was that remark intended to be offensive, or did you just not put your brain in gear before engaging your keyboard? Nick: IMO she looks great! There are some pics in my boots in the thread "Leather knee boots and skirt" in the "General fashion" section. I think the thigh boots are toward the end. I don't look as good in them as Lady Sultry does in hers though! I can understand why they're among her favourites, they're very comfortable and feel great to wear. Chris

I really don't like dissin' people in public view, but that was one of the most tactless things I have seen, anywhere, in a long time. Just what were you smokin' at the time?

If you haven't got something nice to say, then please STFU.

Was it you, or someone else, that told Ellen-Jay that she had fat ankles a few months back. That was tactless too.

Wow, that doc made quite the oops! Still not sure how a potassium deficiency gets confused with all that. Doc must have been taking some of his own medicine... oh yeah, you can't get that in prescription form :-)

Glad to hear she'll be in fine form soon enough. Sounds like she's willing and able to work hard at it. More power to her. It will make for even more great pics too :-) I went to your site - there sure are a lot of pictures. Some of them are quite good too.

Regretably I don't have any insights into white balance as I'm quite new to photography. And I don't have a subject that's willing to dress up like yours is, that's for sure. The lighting looked good - perhaps a different angle? Most of your photos seem to be from about 4ft off the floor.

Hey Chris... I had a look at those. They look great! She says the same thing about the comfort. Those are the ones that she wears out in public more than any she has, especially during the colder months (Or month here in Vegas) :)

I have no idea how it could have been mistaken either. I work for an airline for a living, and I could only imagine what would happen if I were to "misdiagnose" an issue with an airplane and it crashed! We trust in the ethics and education of these people, and that is really all we can do. Luckily, she is going to be ok!

You are quite perceptive! All of the pics in the first set were made with the camera on a tripod. That is something that I usually do, but because of trying to experiment with all the settings, etc, having it on the tripod simplified things a bit. I am an amateur at best whe it comes to photography. I have no formal training at all. I am working just on what I have learned by doing. I pick up every book that I can, and like you, ask what other people have done. I hope to start shooting actual film at some point so that we might sell some print material.

Thanks for the comments! I will pass them along to my wife! We are heading out this weekend to do some outdoors pics, so that will be a start for February.

If only more women had those curves, instead of going for the stick insect look so desired now. Lady sultry looks stunning in those pictures, long may she continue posing for her and everyone elses enjoyment. Thanks for sharing the pics Nick, and special thanks to Lady Sultry.

He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes.

When you're ready to shoot film take a good look at the digital cameras. Mine will, under the right circumstances and according to the photo shop, produce pics in the 27"x24" range with no pixelation, and it's only a 6.1Mpixel camera.

I think we might need to start a new thread on photographing models and what makes a good photo :-) Nice work. Keep it up. I hope you'll post the photos you take this weekend.

I agree on the size issue! I think most people never realize that great even a beauty icon like Marilyn Monroe wore around a size 10/12 in US sizes!

Thanks for the nice thoughts! I will pass them along!
