imrogers Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 On Saturday I put on my 3inch stiletto boots (Piccadilly) which I got from Barratt's Tall-Small range and walked around London mainly Oxford Street. I have little to no comments. The best I heard however was a little girl asking her mother: Why is that man wearing high heels. Unfortuately I could not hear the answer but I would have loved to hear the answer
Bubba136 Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 An often heard question from young children that aren't accustom to areas between black and white. Women wear high heels and dresses. Men wear trousers and jackets. Shades of gray confuse their sense of property. (Teenagers are the next most critical.) Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dr. Shoe Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 (Teenagers are the next most critical.) That's because they haven't learnt tact and discretion. (Or have and don't apply it). Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
raccoon Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 That's because they haven't learnt tact and discretion. (Or have and don't apply it). It's partly because they don't have a mind of their own (yet). They say what (they think) their peers expect them to say.
JeffB Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 That's because they haven't learnt tact and discretion. (Or have and don't apply it). More like they haven't and don't care to learn it. African-American teens are notorious for boorish behavior in public. I should know, I see it every day when high schools let out and they goof off with their friends. I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
highheellover Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 teenagers are not all that fashion smart. Girls and heels rock.
