The price is certainly right, and just a few wearings will justify the amount that you paid for them. The Payless shoe stores around here don't carry any shoes or boots with heels. All they stock are ugly, clunky flats. AARRRGGGG!!! It also sounds like you had a very nice shopping experience and evidently they are used to having men shop there for women's shoes or boots. The people that you work with didn't notice the skinnier 3½" heel on your boots when you wore them to work??? Maybe they are used to seeing you in heels and didn't notice anything different.
