Dawn HH Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Kneehighboots:-) Welcome to the High Heel Megaforums. Once you get your long pants and high heel shoes or boots, you will be ready to go outside and try your hand at street-heeling. Meanwhile, start posting and have fun meeting your new friends. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
kneehighboots Posted April 19, 2004 Author Posted April 19, 2004 hello again boot lovers! thanks for all your personal replies. they have been a lot of help, but still so nervous about going out buying a pair. i live in the south london streatham area and would like to know if anyone lives in this area? i would like to meet up with either male or female who r intersted in knee high boots. im going crazy not having a pair of boots!
Heelfan Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Send a PM to Dr. Shoe! A very friendly guy who comes to all of our UK Heel-Meets including the forthcoming Leicester Heel-Meet (see under the below Forum "Real Life Meetings"). Dr. Shoe is hugely enthusiastic about high heeled boots and has attended the last two or three public Meets in 4" to 5" stiletto thighboots! He also attends mini-meets with forum members from time to time. He live in Hackney, but although that is North of the River, he sometimes comes through the tunnel to meet people is South London. Once he and his wife and daughter invited me to enjoyable meal with them at their favourite Chinese restaurant in Greewich (in my 4 1/2" ankle boots). As I say, send him a PM by clicking on to the "messages" facility at the top of this page (next to where you log in). Also, I get up to London from time to time and am always happy to meet new members. In fact, maybe I could combine a get together with you during my intended visit to "ElephantFeet Shoes" in Brixton and "Bigfeet Directory" in Croydon, both of whom specialise in selling large-sized ladies' shoes and boots, and to whom I have not yet been. After the Leicester Meet, the next to UK Forum Heel-Meets will probably be Bristol and London, but I'm not yet sure which way round. Anyway, we'll advertise them on the "Real Life Meetings" thread. Cheerfully yours, Heelfan (Bristol) Onwards and upwards!
kneehighboots Posted April 21, 2004 Author Posted April 21, 2004 I done it! I went out last night say about 23:30 and went down to my local tescos! it was pretty busy for that time of the evening so instead of going straight to the ladies shoe section i did a bit of shopping. Finally i was in the ladies isle! my heart beating madley! looked up and down the shelves and saw the biggest size they do was a size 8. Damn i thought. but at the time i was really geared up for buying a pair! i thought well if im a size UK 8 usually it would not hurt to get a pair of heels in an 8. a pair of strappy heels caught my eye (i will post an image sometime next week). they have a 3 inch thin heel which is in a cork look material and a strap which goes behing my heel in an X shape and then straps down onto the side of my heel. they r a nice copper/golden colour. across the toes r two non detchable straps with a pretty copper flower to compliment the shoes. I just went for it! grabbed them off the shelf and put them in my basket. at this time the feeling of excitment and nervousness was rushing through my body. i qued up in one of the 3 ilses that were open. the guy who served me just scanned the shoes and the rest of my shopping through asked me for the total amount, paid and left. PHEW! what a relief! i got into my car and took off my trainers and placed them on. i had a bit of trouble getting them on and i though, damn, they r too tight! i then thought hey if they r at least i got that thrill of buying a pair of heels. i drove home with them on still feeling a bit tight round the toes. tonight as i type im wearing them and they do feel a bit more comfortable. maybe if i wear them in a bit the straps may strech which they feel its doing. im so so happy i bought them. but i know now i will have to step up to a size 10 ladies to be much more comfortable. thank you all who personally replied in helping me buy shoes. i cant wait now to go to my local asda and do a bit of late night shopping!! still my main aim is to get a pair of knee high black boots with a chunky heel and a squared off toe. when i do go and get them i will have to make sure they r a perfect fit, if a little bit big! anyone fancy going to camden one day to help me? thank you all!!! xxx
Dawn HH Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Kneehighboots:-) Congratulations on your purchase of the 3" heels and wearing them while driving home. Now if you can find a pair of knee boots with a chunky heel, you will be all ready to street-heel. Please keep us posted on your progress, and I will be looking forward to the pic of the 3" heels. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
kneehighboots Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 this evening i walked round my area wearing a pair of black ankle length boots with a 4"heel. they have a zip on the inner side from heel to the brim of the boot. i felt well happy wearing them, hopefully now i can wear them out during the day!
Dawn HH Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Kneehighboots:-) GOOD SHOW on your wearing your 4" ankle boots around your area. The ice is broken. Be brave and try it during the day and keep us posted on what happens. Good luck! Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!

Dr. Shoe Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 hey people how are we all. its a beutiful saturday afternoon and you know what. im thinking of wearing my boots out! so excited and nervous. im still looking around for the place to buy a pair of knee high boots for myself. anyone up for a meet in the south london streatham/norbury area? please get back to me I can meet you during the day sometime but I will be in lorry driver mode (no heels). kneehighboots Posted May 2, 2004 Author Posted May 2, 2004 thought i would update u on some of my recent heel wearing. well the pair i bought the other day (please read above post) from tescos, well as i have said they were a little too tight for me. after a few sessions of wearing them and my feet hurting the straps r now finally streching out! they feel so sexy. my gf has also moved in with me and im begining to move her clother and BOOTS in. wish i could fit in them!
Dawn HH Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 It's a bit disappointing when you and your girl-friend can't swap heels and boots between you. You will just have to build up a collection of high heels and boots for yourself. Then both you and your girl-friend can go out street-heeling together. Just think how much fun that could be? My wife and I have different size feet also. She is a U.S. women's size 5 and I am a U.S. women's size 7.5 in heeled shoes and a U.S. women's size 8 in heeled boots. She has a collection of dresses, suits and skirts and I have a collection of dresses, suits, and skirts and being that we both use the same size there, we occassionally swap outfits between us. We were attending a funeral the other day and she borrowed one of my dresses to wear as she wanted to look nice. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
JeffM Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Dawn you said We were attending a funeral the other day and she borrowed one of my dresses to wear as she wanted to look nice. The implication here is that your wife doesnt want to look nice most of the time so she wears her clothes but when she does want to look nice she wears your clothes. I am sure you didnt mean this, did you? Jeff
Dawn HH Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 JeffM:-) Of course that was not the meaning I intended when I wrote the post. She AWAYS looks nice no matter what. Sometimes she wears her dresses and sometimes she wears mine. She has 2 closets of clothes to choose from. I hope this makes clear my and her meaning on this. LOL!!! Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Bubba136 Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 JeffM, perhaps she didn't have any dresses that she thought were appropriate for the occasion and so she borrowed one of Dawns that was more appropriate. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dawn HH Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 Bubba136:-) You pegged it right on, Bubba. That is exactly what happened. After pouring over both closets for a time, she came to me and announced that she had selected a dress fit for the occassion. It just happened to be one of mine. We have a reciprical agreement that we can use each others dresses, blouses, skirts, or suits at any time or choosing as we are both the same size. Sometimes she may borrow other things of mine and I may borrow other things of hers. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Bubba136 Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 Now, that's what I call real togetherness. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dawn HH Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 You bet Bubba, and neither one of us would have it any other way. Teamwork. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
JeffM Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 Thanks for the explanations guys. You know I was having a lend of you Dawn so they werent really necessary, but I appreciate them just the same. Best wishes Jeff
Dawn HH Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 JeffM:-) No problem Jeff, I just want to be able to express myself properly. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
kneehighboots Posted May 12, 2004 Author Posted May 12, 2004 hey guys thought i would let you know i went out heeling last night at the local BP station. i was very excited drove there with my heels. when i arrived there i went to get petrol and bloody phone credit! paying for the petrol was the easy bit. when they swiped my top up card the machine went down. low and behold 3 bloody cars pulled up and they all wanted ciggarettes. i told them to go ahead. the first 2 went up for ciggarettes then the man behind the screen said my credit was ready to pay for. as i was paying for it i could blatently see the 3rd customer looking down at my heels. no smile, no laughing just a stern look on his face. PHEW all done i drove home!
new_look Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 i think, if everyone did stern looks, i wouldnt care as much. Its like many people may not approve of the same action as youre doing, but you just get on with it. when someone laughs, it not only indicates they dont agree with it, but that they are trying their best to make a complete idiot out of you, and put you down, and thats what ive gotta fight off. Im quite self concious
Dawn HH Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 Kneehighboots:-) The more that you street-heel like you did at the BP station, the more confident you become and the more relaxed you will be, and the more fun you will have. Congratulations and keep wearing them in public and keep us posted of your progress. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!

asdf174 Posted June 17, 2004 Posted June 17, 2004 The only type of boots I really like are the openback/open toe ones. I don't see those very often though. It's all good. ~Arron.
