Quick way to make photo size under 500kb on mobile

I apologise if this has already been said but I found that if you take your hi resolution pictures of 5 to 8 mb and screenshot them, the screenshot is usually 100 too 300kb

I hope this helps some people as a quicker way without using an app

Good Idea. Why didn't I think of that. Thanks for sharing. I tried that with one of my 8 mb photo it went down to 786 kb. Still too big. But still a good idea for some people.
