KneeBooted Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 So I found these darker blue Hunter rain boots on Poshmark for next to nothing! The only issue is the strap on the one boot that holds the buckle in place is torn. I tried to Google and see if there were any suggestions, but all I saw was super glue as a solution. What are your thoughts?! I'd really like to get these, but only if they're repairable...
Shyheels Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 I think some form of glue would really be your only option. I have some Hunter gum boots and can't imaginary other way of repairing them, should that sort of thing happen. They do want great gumboots, Hunter. Mine have seen service all over the world.
alphax Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 To do a proper repair, you'd have to pop the rivet, replace the belt loop with something similar such as leather, and re-rivet. If you want quick n dirty, you can just patch the loop with black electrical tape. If you want to get fancy, tuck the electrical tape ends inside the loop pocket.
