kromozome Posted March 12, 2004 Posted March 12, 2004 i'd just seen those mules on ebay.de http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2896497249&category=40626 Have Fun with Heels KroMoZome
Paul (North-East) Posted March 13, 2004 Posted March 13, 2004 Can’t make my mind up about those. Although not my favourite type of mules, I do still like wooden soles, but I like heels to have more shape to them than that. Paul.
Bubba136 Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 I don't like them enough to buy them. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
bob2hh Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Not for my use, but they would fit very well for my wife. For ladies in general they are very nice to be seen.
stilettofan Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 The mules are O.K., but I don't like the type of heel. It looks like a big nail without any shape that has been fixed to the sole. High Heels - a true feelgood-factor for everyone

Paul (North-East) Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Now those mules look much sexier, helped by such a gorgeous model. I'm trying to work out if the heel is the same or slightly different. Paul.
kromozome Posted March 22, 2004 Author Posted March 22, 2004 Hilary duff seems to like this sort of heel too. Have Fun with Heels KroMoZome
blackslide Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 All right, I thought this was going to be a picture of some mules and they are in fact, slides. Mules have a closed toe, slides do not.
Paul (North-East) Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 All right, I thought this was going to be a picture of some mules and they are in fact, slides. Mules have a closed toe, slides do not. I think slides is an American term. I never really hear it being used here in the UK. We call them mules, whether they have a closed toe or not. What do you guys and gals in other countries call them ? Paul.
Bubba136 Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 I think the term "slide" is farily new -- not more than two or three years old. It seems I first noticed it when this style of shoe became popular. They look like regular shoes with the heal cup removed or reduced. And mules have high heels, something like these: This style of "slide" has been popular around here for the past 3 or 4 years -- Women wear them with all style of dress. Shorts, pants, dresses, usually without stockings or socks. They are comfortable and nice for hot weather. However, when you look on eBay, you will see that mules, clogs and slides are used to describe all three different styles. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
blackslide Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 My information came from a lady friend that I dated for awhile. She sold clothes in a large department store, and was very into clothes and shoes. She liked shoes as much as I did and we had great times shopping together. She is the one who clued me in on the difference between slides and mules. Slides have open toes and no back. Mules and clogs have closed toes and no back. Hey, you can't argue with a woman. As Will Rogers said, there are several ways to win an argument with a woman. None of them work.
kromozome Posted March 25, 2004 Author Posted March 25, 2004 Thank's for those explanations. here is an other fan of those sort of heel : Have Fun with Heels KroMoZome
asdf174 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Mules/Slides are my fav. Type of shoe. I like the those pair of mules. It's all good. ~Arron.
JeffB Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Well, I'm something of traditionalist (if such a word can be applied to men who wear heels) and prefer pumps, my favorite style of shoe. I've never liked mules, but I won't disrespect anyone else who loves 'em! Viva le difference! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
