Thighbootguy Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Real suede and the new microfiber suede materials seem like they are dirt magnets and really show any dirt or scuffing. There is a tool that had been around for years just to cure such ills. A suede brush has brass filaments that will not hurt the suede surface while they dislodge dirt and dust. Brushing also sets up the nap of the suede. My brush is at least 40 years old. For you folks that have just bought suede booties (and I cautioned to take extra care of them), Or anyone that has suede boots/shoes, I recommend this tool to your attention. 1 I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
at9 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) Absolutely the right thng to use on suede. Both footwear and clothing. I have one a bit like this: http://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/products/saphir-wire-suede-brush Readily available, Here's a UK example: http://www.shoepassion.co.uk/shoe-brushes/brass-brush-html.html Plenty more if you google brass suede brush. swedeheeler Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 I have read that there's one more option for suede, thats more gently to the material itself and especially if there's lot of stitchings like on my thigh high cowboy suede boots, it's a rubber brush like this one https://www.hangerproject.com/saphir-crepe-brush-for-nubuck.html
