Steve63130 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Another insipid "news" article from Yahoo caught my eye today. It's hardly worth reading, but some may find it interesting. https://gma.yahoo.com/flat-shoes-linked-womens-foot-problems-115938585--abc-news-fashion-and-beauty.html <yawn> Back to work... Steve
hhboots Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 wow, that has to be the first time I have seen an article you would normally see toward heels, that is aimed at flats... Although, the reasons given in this article are pretty much just as stupid as the reasons given for heels being bad, some even overlap (such as ill fitting shoes), which is obvious for any shoe type and is hardly a logical reason to apply it to an entire class of shoe. The whole article is silly, just like almost any Yahoo posted article, but I also get sucked into reading them from time to time
AZShoeNut Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 When my wife had a problem her planters fascia the podiatrist told to not wear any shoes with less than 1-1/2 inch heel and that ballet flats were very hard on feet. He pointed out that my sneakers likely had a good one inch rise from ball to heel built into the insole. Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
jetheelsfan Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Heels are bad! Flats are bad, Bare feet are dangerous. Don't you just like the options they suggest? The media thrives only on negative "news" or what ever they tend to call it. Just a bit higher to to delight - low enough for healthy foot comfort and great beginning.
