JeffB
This AARP commercial which I watched last night spoke to me as a fashion freestyler of a "certain age" in an unique way because of the first two lines: "Knows her way around a miniskirt." "Can run in high heels." When I saw that, I nodded and grinned because I do know how to work a miniskirt, and I can run in heels if I need to, though I don't. For folks here like me, Thighbootguy and others who are, ahem, well beyond our 20's, we don't let age deter us from wearing heels (and women's clothing) and both looking and feeling fabulous in them. That's why I liked that commercial. Opinions? I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!

SleekHeels
I agree, age shouldn't deter anyone from enjoying fashion. As a guy who "breaks the rules" by wearing heels and skirts, I hope it inspires others to wear what they like and enjoy looking and feeling fabulous. If you like it, wear it. Thighbootguy
There are a couple considerations when it comes to age. There is our chronological age, that's the one that lets you legally drink beer and drive a car and determines how easily you get tired or can break a bone; then there is the age you see when you put on your rose colored glasses and look in a mirror, this is how old you mentally feel. For me these are very different ages. I know that a woman my chronological age would probably not wear thigh boots with stiletto heels and miniskirts, but one my rose colored age would. I am glad that I can still wear heels at my chronological age because I know a lot of people that can't manage it. I used to go at living a lot harder and needing a lot less sleep but now I am glad for an afternoon nap. I still haven't joined AARP, not that I disagree with their agenda, rather, I just don't feel old enough. My heroes are Peter Pan and Zaphod Beeblebrox. TBG I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
