PatsyCline
Do you find it harder to wear shoes with say, 4" heels and no platform or 6" with a 2" platform? The arch is the same, but does the platform cause more problems? I just received a pair of shoes with the latter example. I've never worn a pair of the former, so would like an opinion from those who have worn both. "Porsche...There is no Substitute"
killer heels
I find the platform heels harder as they're higher and more precarious
DebbiNC
I just bought some platform pumps at Nine West this past weekend. Previous purchases included some platform styles but they were very modest. This time I just went for it! A one inch platform with a five inch heel! Apart from getting accustomed to the feel of the shoe, I find them as easy to walk in as my four inch heels, in fact, they may be a little easier. Everyone is different, but these are really working for me! It's about Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of New Shoes!
Amanda
I find a small hidden platform, perhaps half an inch or less adds to comfort. I wouldn't be seen dead wearing larger ones.

DebbiNC
Just to add a little something visually to the discussion about platforms, here's a photo of the Nine West platform pumps I bought last weekend. They aren't extreme by any means, but I think they are rather sexy! (Louise, I'm still rockin' them!) It's about Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of New Shoes! PatsyCline
They're very nice. I've seen photos of the Louboutin Altis, but I think they are not being made anymore, except with spikes, and I'm not sure if I like them yet. meganiwish
It was to do with Les Dawson making quips about his mother-in-law, but I'll admit it was a bit lame. Consider me penitent.

Amanda
Oh dear, I think we've made rather a mess of this thread.
meganiwish
Yes. There are two ways to deal with a tangle - unravel it patiently or snip straight through with the scissors. Here goes. Like you, I don't really like platforms. Anything too big looks ridiculous at my height. I look like I'm standing on a soapbox. (Hmm, snipping through still leaves the thread a bit of a mess.) Amanda
Ah well, now that we're on to a fresh page perhaps people will begin to post it back to the original topic. I've noticed that people often reply to threads without having read all the posts so it's quite likely.
