I have noticed a significant decrease in postings from our beloved Laurieheels. During the 30 days of November, she posted about 80 times. Yet for the first 9 days in December, only about 4 posts. #1 Is working on Jenny's site keeping her busy? #2 Is she spending more time on Jenny's forum ? #3 Is she preoccupied with her writing? #4 Is she back at working full-time? She is missed.

For me all the girls who post here are the diamonds amongst the gem stones.

Laurie and Julietta are the pink diamonds and they are both missing and missed.

I fear I have been quite withdrawn of late. I haven't been writing, I haven't been working on web sites, and I am not overwhelmed by work. I'm just very quiet. We have a number of people who can comment on subjects here, and rather than risk repeating myself, I've just been reading here and there, and keeping to myself, really. I don't have a real explanation as to why I have been quiet, but it has just happened. There are many thoughts about things other than shoes in my mind of late, and that may be the reasoning behind it. It's all quite a crop of melancholy, and I am sure it will change in time. :D

Laurieheels; Glad to see you are still with us. Many of us experience mood swings from time to time. Hang in there. :D

Sometimes one gets all 'talked out', it happens to us all. Do wave a foot from time to time in the 'gals forum' at least to show you are around. hugz /I

Hello Ionic! It would be more positive of you asked Laurie to wave a foot rather that to "waive" a foot! Joking aside, I do hope you will feel more cheerful in 2004 Laurie! All of us fans in the UK are appreciatively rooting for you! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

:D

It's called Seasonal Affected Disorder Laurie, ( SAD ) It's caused by cold dark winter days, I suffer from it myself. The only cure is to lay on a beach somewhere in the sun.

I appreciate the suggestions and well wishing, but i fear it is far more complex. I do feel talked out. That much is accurate. I don't think it is a lack of sunlight, since I have always loved the night, a sky filled with the full moon, glowing silver-white, stars and planets shining, and the calm pace the world seems to take when the sun has gone away.

Yes that's fine when it is warm enough to go outside and see the moon and stars, but when its so cold the only thing to do is lock your self in your burrow and hide then I agree with Skirted UK, SAD situation really. :D

The tone of your writing suggests to me that you had a half smile when you posted so maybe there are better days for you on the horizon. Sure hope so because you never know what's around the corner, any thing from a cup of coffee spilt when you bump into some one to , well who know what.

Best wishes

If it's any consolation, I feel talked out too. Think about 2700 posts on a fairly limited subject. If I'm going to say something, I've probably said something pretty similar before somewhere on ths very forum, so it's a risk of repeating myself, or just being plain boring. I tend to sit back and read now.

Well everyone, I'm sure you'll all agree that our unparalleled Moderators Laurie and Firefox have been, and are doing an impeccable and a MARVELLOUS job! But now, unsurprisingly, they're knackered! But when you think of what they've been achieving on our behalves, no wonder they're both knackered! They've both Moderated away ceaselessly, often well into the early hours of the morning (if you check their posting times), seven days a week! Despite occasions when they must have been dog tired, they've been unwaveringly good natured and fair with everyone, whilst dealing firmly and sternly with spammers, porn and trouble-makers. They've put up with over-spontaneous enthusiasts like me VERY nicely (thank you both!) and when members' views are put forward, they've both been excellent at putting forward alternative viewpoints to make us all think. That's not even the half of it! You ain't heard nuthin yet! .... They've both been holding down day jobs (yes, thankfully Laurie has again found employment!) whilst doing all this. They've both been posting away with record numbers of postings. Rocketing out of their comfy loafers, Laurie was just ahead at the 2,000 milestone, whilst Firefox is narrowly ahead as they reach 2,700. An INCREDIBLE contribution when the average is only two or three dozen, and in some cases hardly any! Then they've both been posting excellent photographs on the Forums - Laurie with great and alluring photographs of herself - the Goddess in High Heels, and Firefox with all manner of heels-for-guys and his shots of bus shelters (that happen to contain street-heeling ladies) etc. Then between them they've rescued Jenny's High Stilettos Site by dragging it back from total oblivion and reconstituting it and finding a new host for it and putting it right back at the top of the tree where it belongs. An absolutely HUGE task in itself! Then they've already put in place the start of an exciting optional paysite extension to Jenny's site. And Firefox has posted that they have embarked on transforming it into a bigger, broader and really great site. Then Laurie did her personal training programme reports followed by her field reports of her heel-wearing - weren't they great? Then there's Firefox getting out and about to take street-shots for posting. Then there's Firefox turning up cheerfully to our 2003 Heel-Meets in Oxford and two in London. Then there's Firefox running his own "Aesthetic Heels for Men" website - a real inspiration to us street-heeling guys. Then there's Laurie treating us to her heely story-writing talents on Megaforums and on Jenny's site. Then there's Firefox kindly turning out to meet up with individual members here and there and even fitting in a few games of golf (with odd heely chat thrown in) with yours truly and joining in with visits to Raymond's Review Bar and the Rocky Horror Show (suitably attired!). Then there's Firefox running his own part-owned golf club, designing a new crazy golf corner this year, and taking part in numerous bridge meetings and tournaments. HOW DO THEY DO IT? The mind boggles. I hope each and every one of our magnificent one-thousand-plus members reads this and appreciates the hundreds and hundreds of man-hours and goddess hours than Firefox and Laurie put in on all of our behalves. From me personally, one helluva big THANKYOU for everything you've both done in 2003! No wonder you're both talked-out and thoroughly 101% knackered! Can I suggest that you both try and let the Forums take care of themselves a teeny bit throughout the forthcoming Christmas break, and RELAX AND PUT YOUR (HIGH-HEELED) FEET UP! Thank you once again both! Your geniuses! And don't let's hear much from either of you until you've chilled-out and thoroughly recharged your batteries! THANK YOU! Appreciatively and Festively yours, Heelfan

Quaint yes, derived I believe from the after effects of making love. That was great love but now I'm knackered, cant do it again for a while, tired out. Knackers are testicles for those who dont know and cattle are de-knackered to make them steers, hence they cant do it, ever. Seems a bit strange when you hear girls saying it. Jeff

You're WAY behind the times Jeff! Those grisly details (best forgotten!) were the original meaning twenty or thirty years ago, but these days we all get knackered just carrying the shopping up the stairs, or Moderating away till the early hours like Firefox and Laurie have been doing so well! I'm about to sell my car (auto) because it is also knackered! Well done again, Firefox and Laurie! Cheerfully yours, a knackered (just done too much Christmas shopping in my 5" stacked-heel boots!) Well here we go again.

Where is Laurieheels?

She was averaging 3.7 postings each day up until December 30, 2003. Yet she has not posted once this entire year !!! That's almost 150 days without a single post.

I hope she is well.

Oops ..... there I go again ... posting without logging in.

As Firefox once said to me during a game of golf, people come and go from these Forums. It is sad when a keen member peters out, and sadder still when it is one of our much-cherished heel-wearing ladies (like Julietta or Puong), and very, very sad indeed when the lady in question was also a moderator (like Jenny and Debbie and Laurie). Strangely, the ultra-enthusiastic contributors like those five ladies can seem to succumb to fading out again just as easily as the less keen people who never make more than a few postings. I find that curious, but it seems to be true. In the absence of Laurie herself bouncing back with any news or up-date, I believe I am right in believing that Firefox has kept in fairly regular direct touch with Laurie, so maybe he can shed a little light on Laurie's wellbeing. Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

Debbie is well but extremely busy.

Yes, it speaks, it rises from slumber, from a mental fog that said "Message boards are too much work" and then, in a brilliant flash.... Hello everyone. I am well, and I appreciate the concern. It is nice to be missed, I suppose. Particularly when someone's archery practice goes awry. I am alive, healthy, still wearing heels, but perhaps just burnt out on all of this internet forum stuff. Besides, the Calgary Flames are in the Stanley Cup Finals, who has time to participate on message boards? There's hockey to be watched and cheering to be done. No, I have not exposed myself while in a drunken state and ended up anywhere on the internet during any of the post game celebrations. :D I've been wandering through life, happy, saving money to move to a new place, playing with kittens, and wearing heels to the amazement of others. A backwards bunny hop in four inch stiletto tie-on sandals makes a statement. Today, I have the day off from work, and I went to give blood. There's no hockey on the television tonight, so I started playing with the Member's site on jenny's page for an update, and I thought, hey, I have time, I might as well post that I am alive, in case anyone was curious. Take care everyone, and remember, Life is a game, so stay out of the penalty box. :) Laurie

Well, A million welcomes Laurieheels! The high heeled goddess returns! It is so nice to hear from you and particularly to know that you are happy, busy and earning enough to be saving up! We've missed you very much on these Forums. However, one bright spot to mention is that I hope you'll be pleased to notice that Jenny's Forum has been ticking over particular well lately with new contributors Candice, Stu, Paul and Serenity having joined the ever-faithful Erica and Lucy to keep us all entertained. It's great to have your update and to know that you're alive and kicking! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

I wish that goalkeeper Kiprusof (ofcourse from Finland) will help Calgary to win Stanley Cup. But there is still a lot of minutes to play the game.
