saudade Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Wonder if this would work on suede shoes, would help real leather anything out though one would think. http://www.neverwet.com/ video of it in action: Given they used it on clothes it seems like it would be good for stain protection too. I'll have to buy some and jump in puddles. Not sure if this is the best place for the post or general forums, feel free to move it. Just thought its application to shoes would be applicable.
Glosha Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 sounds interesting. Did you find how to buy it? How much it costs? ... Can't browse their site too much from my phone.

saudade Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Scotchguard. Don't think it prevents rusting. And the fact that it creates a layer of air on top is pretty cool. Looks like it'll be out in mid 2012. And apparently shoe companies are interested not shockingly enough. http://lancasteronline.com/article/local/438712_When-these-guys-say-NeverWet-----they-mean-it.html
docs41 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I wonder how good it would be for leather. One of the characteristics of leather is that it breathes. If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!
Jkrenzer Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Leather is a skin, should absorb the material in much the same manner as it does mink oil. Not sure why manufacturer's would want it though. The key to manufacturing is your items need to wear out so you can make more of them. If I had the perfect pair of leather pumps, and I do, I would only need to buy them once.
