If the young man was bothered by the other young man allegedly making advanced toward him, he should have talked to him, and if he persisted, he should have talked to the teachers, principal, or councilors. No excuse for the action he took.

All the rest of us can do is make assumptions based on virtually no information. What is aggressive flirtation in this case. I don't make judgements on these issues based on incomplete info.
