Would be interesting to hear how they actually came by creating this list since my Loubous seem to follow a different pattern. Best example would be Pigalle 120 which I take in a 34.5 whereas my usual size is 36...

That's a size down then... there's hope for me yet then!

In theory, all shoes should be designed to the International 'Mondopoint' sizing system, and thus all be the same. In practice though....it just shows that even the most outrageously expensive heels can be made...umm...'wrong'...:):P

Thanks for the list, Barney. For what I've seen with my loubies... it's quite accurate. At least for what it take to size 41 1/2 - 42.

If you are going to buy any heels, you'd better do some investigative homework. What works for some one you're unaquainted with has really no validity for you to base your decision on. Only a personal hands on experience with the heels you want will be the best measure for any decision to get them. I've noticed that some designer heels are made with the best materials so that they will eventually become more comfortable as you wear them, but you'll have to start with the best fit for your sizing requirements. As an example: I got a pair of YSL TRIBUTE TOO pumps. They fit well, but the toebox seemed a little tighter than I normally like. After wearing them for a while, the toebox became like a second skin giving the right spacing so that my toes didn't seem as cramped, which made my heeling experiences in them more like personal extentions than just stylish pedestals.

Im looking into getting my first real pair of designer heels, and thats probably one of the first good arguments ive heard/read to jusitfy buying a pair. What with the pricing too, i really want to make sure my first pair really are ones that are for me and suit me, but with this discussion about the designers failing to follow the "Mondopoint" system i would dread finding the perfect style but didnt fit me (Eu42/Uk9).

acesecret, The Louboutin table is quite accurate. The point is that, regarding the price involved in "designer's" shoes, you should try them on first. Specially if you have 41/42 as size number. Many of these brands have those numbers avaliable -Louboutin, for instance- and there is nothing like it. I know it needs some guts to do it. And on the other hand, mine I bought through the Internet as I have no Louboutin store here in Argentina. Any way, London has brand stores where you can get those models... so trying them is a chance you shouldn't discard.
